Just a quick shout-out: I am one of those weirdos that do NOT want to know the ghouls real names or see their faces.
Why? Well, Ghost is probably one of the only bands with this concept. Theres plenty of bands out there where you know the guitar players shoe size. Ghost is different, and I like that about it. I enjoy the mystery.
on the hunt
Another scenario brought to you by living with cats™
Imagine the ghouls on a hot summer night, someone left a window open and a light on and now they are on the hunt... for the mosquitoes this has attracted. Theyre all hunting after the tiny beasts, cursing them in an old forgotten language. Dew definitely tries setting them on fire. Furniture gets thrown over, random objects get re-purposed into fly-swatters. Swiss picks up rain so they can reach the tiny beast sitting on the ceiling and they both lose balance and fall as the mosquito makes its escape.

Night Creeps
Note: I am not an easily scared person. I do not mind the dark, my way to or from work often includes a walk through a pitch black forest at night. I dont fear spiders or snakes and I enjoy horror movies. But sometimes I get the creeps, I feel like someone is there, like im not alone, like Im being watched, like theres someone behind me. Usually its after exposing myself to something creepy, be it a horror movie or - in tonights case - the coverage of the astroworld catastrophy. I wont be able to sleep right now anyways - Im startling at every sound my cats make - so I’ll distract myself with this. Now, this was the long introduction to: how would the ghouls comfort you if you had the creeps?
Its late at night and you are alone in your room at the abbey
youre tired and you would not mind some sleep but you cant shake this feeling of...being watched.
You checked every corner
you even looked under the bed, then scolded yourself for being so childing to look for the monster under the bed
You turned on all bright lights several times to make absolutely sure nobody is there, just to find nothing and turn the lights off again
wash, rinse, repeat
Even scrolling through your phone doesnt help
the tiniest noises make you jump and you feel silly for it - this is not your usual self
when you hear quiet steps outside your door walking down the corridor youre ready to believe you just imagined them - but yiu tense up anyways
you shriek at the knocking on your door
“y-yes?” - its so quiet youre not sure its audible
The door blasts open and in tumble a bunch of ghouls who seem very perplexed at your scared complexion
They saw the lights from your room going on and off from their common room and thought you sent them a morse signal
But you seem spooked, whats going on?
“Oh, its really silly... I just have the creeps. Feel like someones watching me or something. Probably from that horror movie we watched yesterday...”
“I mean its an old building, theres gotta be at least a few gho...”
“Swiss.”, Aether cuts him off and shakes his head “not helping.”
“Why dont you come back to our quarters for the night? If theres anything haunting you, we can all protect you. And if not we’ll just have a slu...”
“I’ll fight it”, thats Dew. You dont doubt him.
“SLUMBER PARTY!” - thats the Ghoulettes, who seem excited about that
You slowly nod
you feel like a little child being comforted after a nightmare
The whole pack escorts you to their quarters
Mountain hands you a blanket and you get wrapped up and placed on one of the giant sofas.
Rain and Aether snuggle up to you, The Ghoulettes come back with a hot chocolate seconds later
Dew and Swiss set up the console and play Mario Cart while the rest of you are just watching, Aeth and Mounty dosing away already.
Rain is quietly purring, he has been told the sounds is calming to humans
The ghoulettes take turns soothingly running their fingers through your hair
“All better now?”
“All better.”

I know ive written like 69 different posts on Ghouls in Heat. But nothing, absolutely nothing, could have prepared me for my own cat in heat.
Studying
Cause I really gotta sit my ass down and get some studying done - so lets see how the ghouls would help a caffeine-addicted medstudent get shit done.
Aether:
Makes sure you eat enough. He heard bananas are a great study-food so he will hand you bananas until you eat one. If you dont your desk will have a growing pile of bananas. So many bananas.
Swiss:
Your neck and back are all stiff from sitting all day. He knows a way to rela- ... okay, he'll just give you a backrub then.
Rain:
If you wanna revise, hes happy to listen to you explaining the current topic of your studies to him. Emotional Support Ghoul®.
Mountain:
Will also listen to you revise cause quite frankly that stuff is hella interesting. Also, would you like some herbal tea that may or may not boost your focus magically?
Cumulus:
Supplies you with coffee. So much coffee. Goes very well with all the bananas.
Cirrus:
Will throw everyone out if you need your peace and quiet to focus. Makes sure they leave you alone if needed and dont distract you. Will also make sure you dont procrastinate.
Dew/ Ember:
Your subject is cardiology? Hold on, let me just... Brings you a human heart as a study subject. The blood is still fresh. Will not disclose where hes gotten it from.
Im not on twitter and it looks like I am lucky not to be. Remember one thing: every single device you can twitter from - be it a phone or a samsung smart fridge - has a power off button. And sometimes taking a break from things and not letting them heat up more is not the worst idea.
Besides that I hope each and everyone of you is having a wonderful day, is staying hydrated, and gotten a good nights sleep.
Ghouls in Summer
Hot ghouls, summer in the Abbey, back of my mask getting dirty and sweaty... Do people even write Ghoul hcs anymore? Or read them? Anyways, here is one about how our favourite hellspawns could spend the Summer.
Most of the summer is spent touring so the ghouls dont get a lot of downtime. In between tours theres also practise, travelling, catching up on sleep - but the ghouls wouldnt be the ghouls if they didnt know how to enjoy themselves.
Aether - The only one who responsibly puts on sunscreen. He carries it with him and offers it to the others but theres barely any takers. Cirrus or Rain might use some occassionally. - Discovered his love for barbecue, and fuck he is good at it. Feeds all the other ghouls and they love him for it. They made him one of those cringy-dad-bbq-aprons that says ‘shut up and eat my meat’ Rain - finally he is not the only one who wants to spend all day swimming in a lake, he loves the company - spends all day in or next to the water - the others challenge him to do swimming races although they all know theyre gonna lose. They just love to see him win.
Dew/Ember - as a fire ghoul the heat doesnt bother him - ever. Even when everyone else is passed out on the floor from the burning sun hes gonna be fine - probably causes some mayhem together with mary - you can hear Seestorr Imperator shout for them in the distance “Maaaaaaaryyyyyyy! GET YOUR ASS HERE AND BRING THAT LITTLE FIRE SHIT WITH YOU!” Swiss - Booty shorts? Booty shorts. - Sunglasses? Sunglasses. - Loves summer and does a healthy mix of chilling in the sun, swimming, playing sports and stealing Aethers steaks from the grill. - Beach Volleyball? Hell yeah! - “Its too hot” - “Yeah sorry, my bad.”
Mountain - Long walks during sunsets or in the blue hour - Also chills in the sun a lot but he get uncomfortable if it gets too hot - he will probably sleep or doze through the extremely hot hours (”Its called a siesta.”) - Makes sure all plants get watered enough if its particularly dry - Aethers BBQ and a Beer in his hand? fuck yes Cirrus - Fancy sunglasses - Sunbathing together with Cumulus - Summer isnt her favourite but she can deal with the heat - Makes sure Cumulus wont die from the heat Cumulus - Overheats easily - Churches and Chapels stay cool even in the hottest summer so theres a good chance you’ll find her in one. Bonus points if it has an organ, you’ll hear her play some interesting tunes. Ever heard Fire,Water,Burn covered on an organ?

One thing I've realized since owning a floof of my own: the Ghouls how they are usually portrayed are SO similar to cats. Or maybe its the other way around and my floofs are just little gremlins - who knows.

can you help me find a specific fanfinction? I nrver got to read the end of it and now I cant find it again. So its a Ghost FF and the author knew you and recommended you (or the other way around). The main character is an OC whose cat wanders into the Abbey of the Church where she then meets copia and the boys. She (i think) ends up with Copia. And she has a traumatic backstory and starts getting panic attacks when someone touches her. If you have any idea what im talking about, please help <3

@birdybirp Funnily enough I barely ever read NSFW stuff, angsty-fluff is where my ace heart is happy - so Haphephobia is right up my alley. But my dumbass brain only remembered that I found it by looking at a Bookmark list (or something lol) from CultOfAdoration (dont ask me why thats the thing I remembered, my brain is an idiot).
Anyways I binge-read through it yesterday and its still as great as I remember it to be <3 as for not continuing to write it: the last chapter ends on a very happy note so I’ll just take it as the happy ending.
uhm... helllo again tumblr I kinda disappeared, mostly from here but I also felt like I disappered in irl. Well, anyways, I went to a ritual (first concert since 2019) and it was still SO GOOD. After such a long time. Stood next to two very enthusiastic (like following their tour for multiple stops enthusiastic) fans. When I told them this was my first concert since lockdown they asked “So this is your first ritual?” Nah kid, Ive been here before the world went apeshit. And now the ‘rona calms a little but theres wars starting. Maybe the world has always been apeshit
on a positive note I have my own little gremlin demon now (aka a cat) living with me. Oh yes and Ive moved twice since ive last been on tumblr so theres that too. Fuck me, life is so weird.

bring you snacks and fresh water (Rain),
massage your tense muscles and remind you to take breaks (Aether, Cumulus)
make you a special tea that helps with concentration (Mounty)
or take you on walks outside to help you unwind (Cirrus, Swiss),
Dew will just throw himself across your book/laptop/notepad the way cats do when they want attention.
