Read the reviews of the movie and they were pretty bad. Well, screw the reviews. I loved Crimes of Grindelwald. It is the kind of movie that will leave you wanting more. Every minute, every second was so thrilling. And the revelation in the end, no words speechless. But let’s go in order.
Seeing my baby Newt on screen again after two years was a blessing. He’s just so cute and adorable.
Leta Lestrange is so in love with Newt. In my opinion, the “I love you” in the end was also for Newt. Also, her death was very painful to watch cause after the first movie the biggest mystery was who was Leta Lestrange and now that we finally get to see her, she dies.
I’m so in love with Theseus. Yes, he had less screen time. But he was undoubtedly one of the best characters. The scene where Newt hugs him and tells him that he has chosen a side gave me the feels. Marry me Theseus.
Queenie Goldstein’s character was relatable cause everyone makes mistakes. She did make a stupid choice but I’m sure that in the later movies, she’ll come back on the right side.
Jacob Kowalski is still the funny, entertaining character and watching him in the end, heartbroken was the saddest thing.
Grindelwald reminded me a lot of Thanos because of the speech he gave in the end. He has the power to influence and manipulate people and listening to him will make you question “Is he right?”. He didn’t do anything without a cause. He as a reason.
Dumbledore is so perfect I can’t even. The scene when he looks into the mirror of Erised I could see the sadness and pain in his eyes. They did drop a lot of hints about how he’s in love with Grindelwald in a subtle way.
Nagini didn’t really have a huge role in this movie. But in the end when Credence follows Grindelwald, I could see her crushed. It did made me question how she joined forces with Voldemort. Hoping to see more of her in the next movie.
Tina Goldstein didn’t have much role in the movie as a character. But her relationship with newt. No words can describe how perfect they are for each other. How they complete each other. I was frustrated when their beautiful scene was interrupted. Newtina is OTP. They were literally the heart eyes emoji throughout.
And last but definitely not the least, Credence. Him being a Dumbledore just blew my mind. But Grindelwald did lie to him saying that Dumbledore wanted to kill him. Let’s just wait and see if this Dumbledore part is also true or just something misleading like Sirius Black or Severus Snape.
Overall, I loved it so so so much and cannot wait until November 20th, 2020.
