literally in tears thinking about this...ok you know the scene in dead poets society when todd is like âi can take care of myself, alright?â and neil looks him right in the eyes and goes âno.â and todd is like âno? what do you mean no?â and neil smiles a little and goes âno.â THAT BUT WITH LUKE AND CONNOR......
omg the end when theyre all dancing and happy đ(also i cannot @ their teacher flirting with sardo. tbh i could see it working tho?? lmao. seth can perform magic tricks at their wedding.) random thoughts: i swear luke looked like he was gonna burst into tears the whole series. if they said connor & luke were a thing at some point id believe it. these kids actually felt like real friends!!! unlike season 1 who felt like they barely tolerated each other đ. curse of shadows >>> carnival of doom
yesssss Seth Should do magic tricks at their wedding. and after all they went through, they deserve to be happy!!
and no definitely â Luke was about to cry the whole time. can you blame him tho? personally, I ship Luke and Connor so Iâd agree with you there. unfortunately I havenât seen s1 yet cause of my schedule, so idk how it varies from s2, but Iâll take your word for it
i am VERY sorry this took so long, but hereâs my story highlight of me freaking out every time the cast noticed me: https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE3OTkzNjc2NTcxMzIyODQx?igshid=1qx2a05wkthvp&story_media_id=2530931334596352075
See Instagram ânotices!!â highlights from mj/marina (@imafraid_ofthedark)
additionally, many people of the fandom have dmed JT Billings, the writer. Here are some of the things I have:
Of course, there ARE more, but a lot of the likes are in the story highlight that I linked.
However, this is personally my favorite thing that caused me emotional distress:
64 Followers, 32 Following, 59 Posts
(Itâs also in my highlights and has a wandavision reference)
And finally, here is the trilogy of lunor and habby, complete with JT asking us about what Gabby and Hannaâs ship name was:
Bottom left: cast members liking an edit with either lunor or habby. Bottom right: Bryce reposting a lunor edit. Top: Beatrice commenting âgood questionâ on my post about âif gabby and Hanna straight why so gay?â And center: JT Billings asking what the ship name for Hanna and Gabby is
This is all I can remember off the top of my head, but many other accounts have notice highlights for when a cast member notices their posts, so you can get more info there too.
Random question, but if Jai had been there for the scene where Seth reads them all to filth, what do you think he would have said Jai fears?
i feel like it'd probably be something related to comic books. 'And Jai's afraid that someone will rip up the pages of his favorite comic book.' or something like that
YES!!!! YESYES YES!!!! THAT!! PART!! listen they HAVE to know what theyâre doing they HAVE TO honestly if none of them kids comes out by the end iâm suing for emotional distress
oh my god yes lmao that was hilarious
what event? everything was completely fine and normal in this episode. iâm pretty sure this was the episode where they defeated the shadowman and i didnât cry one bit. nope.

âJust start without me. I have to do my homework,â Connor said, looking up at Luke, who had just walked in telling him that they were starting the movie soon. âNo.â
âWhat do you mean, no?â asked Connor.
âI mean, no,â Luke restated, climbing onto Connorâs bed and closing his laptop, moving it away from him. Luke climbed over Connor and stretched out over his body, leaning into his arms. Connor snaked his arms around Lukeâs shoulders and pressed a kiss to his temple, threading his fingers through Lukeâs hair.
âI guess I can do my homework later,â he murmured, and Luke smiled, pushing himself up slightly to kiss Connorâs cheek. Connor moved his hand down to Lukeâs face, and cupping his cheek, kissed his lips.
âThanks, Con,â Luke replied in between kisses, blushing slightly.Â
ââCourse,â Connor said, âanything for my angel.â
âSoooo,â Hanna said down in the living room, tucking her foot under her and sitting down on the couch. âWhat are we watching tonight?â
âConnor said IT one,â Gabby said, from her spot on the floor in front of Hanna, next to Jai.Â
Hanna crossed her arms. âWho is currently not here,â she said under her breath.
Jai snorted. âHeâs probably in the kitchen making out with his boyfriend.â
âJai!â Hanna exclaimed hitting him with a pillow.
âAm I wrong?â he asked.
Gabby gave a noncommittal jerk of her head. âHeâs most likely not wrong.â
âGabby! Not you too!â Hanna groaned.Â
âHanna, you canât say that there hasnât been something else since Luke âgripped him tight and raised him from perdition,ââ Jai said, making finger quotes in the air.Â
âJai-â Hanna started but broke off as the door opened and Connor and Luke walked in.Â
âSpeak of the devil,â Jai smirked.
Hanna rolled her eyes and Gabby laughed lightly.Â
âWhatchya talking about?â Luke asked, walking over to sit in the corner of the couch. Connor followed close behind with a bowl of popcorn.
âNothing,â Gabby said quickly.Â
âOkay,â Luke said skeptically as Jai stretched out his arms, reaching for the popcorn bowl. Connor handed it to him, then sat down in between Luke and Hanna.Â
ââS it queued up?â he asked and no one spoke. âSeriously?â Sighing, he got up and turned on the tv in his living room.
âSorry that we donât know how to work the tv,â Jai replied and Connor just rolled his eyes, pulling the disc of the first IT movie out of the tv stand. âAnd where the disc was,â Jai added as Connor turned on the tv and put the disk into the player.
âItâs not like youâve been over to my house a million times, Jai.â
Luke put his arm up on the side of the couch and said, âhe hasnât. Heâd be talking with Seth while weâre hanging out.â
âOkay, the funky dude isnât that bad,â Jai protested.
âNo, heâs that bad,â Hanna said. Jai shrugged and shoveled popcorn into his mouth while Connor took his spot again, Lukeâs arm shifting closer to him as he clicked play and the opening scene started up, with the volume high enough to drown out almost any other noise.
âIâm thinking it mightâve been a bad idea to watch IT after the Shadowman,â Gabby said, 30 minutes into the movie. Sheâd migrated to the couch now, and she and Hanna were both under a blanket, and Jai had piled pillows on the floor and was lounging across them.Â
From the opposite side of the couch, Connor, who had his head resting on Lukeâs shoulder, spoke. âYeah, probably. Bad planning on my part.â
âOr maybe it was just a ploy to get me to hold you,â Luke whispered into Connorâs ear, careful not to let the others hear.Â
Connor smiled, blushing slightly, and looked up at Luke. âYou look really cute when you do that, too,â Luke added.âShut up,â he muttered, but moved closer into Lukeâs side anyway, and The Midnight Society (minus Seth) sat in silence for a few more minutes before someone spoke. âWeâre out of popcorn,â Jai said, lifting the empty bowl above his head. Connor flicked his eyes over to where Jai was.
âWeâll make it,â Hanna announced, grabbing the bowl from Jai and standing up. âCâmon.â She motioned with her hand. Gabby blinked and looked around in confusion, but stood up and followed Hanna. âAnd you can keep watching the movie,â Hanna added as she held the door to the hallway open for Gabby.
Gabby yawned as she walked over to the counter where the Stevensâ air popper and popcorn kernels were already out from the last batch. It was when Gabby had measured out the kernels and started the machine that Hanna finally spoke. âGabby?â she asked hesitantly.
âHm?â
âI have something to tell you,â Hanna said, wringing her hands nervously. Gabby turned around to look at her and jumped up onto the countertop. âIâm listening,â she replied when Hanna didnât speak.Â
âWhat? Oh, yeah.â Hanna rubbed her eyes. âGabby? I like you. Like, romantically like you. Like, like, you,â she confessed, starting to pace. âAnd I get that you might not be okay with that, which is fine, I guess, and I wonât mention this again if thatâs the case and we can pretend this never happened, cause I still want to be your friend, even if Iâm not your girlfriend.â
âHanna.â
âYes?â Hanna asked apprehensively, stopping in front of Gabby.
Gabby smiled. âI like you too. Like, like, you.â
Hanna immediately felt like a weight had been lifted off her chest. âYou do?â Her voice came out breathless and strained.Â
âI do,â Gabby assured, reaching an arm out to Hanna. Hanna stepped forward shakily, then again, and again, until she was right in front of Gabby. She could smell Gabbyâs flowery scent that accompanied her everywhere; the cherry chapstick on her lips.Â
âCan I kiss you?â Gabby whispered, which Hanna still heard over her frantic pulse and the air popper in the background. She nodded and Gabby leaned in slowly.Â
When their lips met, Hanna felt the whole world disappear. It was only her and Gabby. She felt Gabby pull her closer and she unconsciously leaned in and deepened the kiss, her arms moving around Gabbyâs waist.Â
Meanwhile, Gabby moved her hands up Hannaâs arms to her face to touch Hannaâs cheeks gently, her ankles hooked together behind Hannaâs legs.Â
They finally broke apart after the first couple of popcorn kernels popped. Gabby leaned down and touched her forehead to Hannaâs, both of them smiling breathlessly.
âSo you really like me?â Hanna asked.âYes, I really like you,â Gabby responded, tucking a strand of Hannaâs hair behind her ear. Hanna smiled and kissed Gabby again.Â
âOkay.âÂ
âOkay,â Gabby repeated, pulling Hanna in for a hug, only letting go when they heard the popcorn stop popping. Hanna pulled away, placing a chaste kiss on Gabbyâs lips, then walked to turn off the air popper.
âJai will want salt and butter,â Gabby told Hanna.Â
âWell,â Hanna stated, grabbing the salt, âsucks for him, cause heâs just having salt.âGabby grinned as Hanna shook the salt over the popcorn, then shook the bowl lightly. âReady?â Hanna asked, holding her hand out for Gabby to take.
âWhat are we gonna tell the rest of the Midnight Society?â Gabby asked quietly.Â
Hanna lowered her hand. âWe can decide tomorrow. They donât need to know yet if youâre not ready. That okay?â
Gabby nodded.
âAnd besides,â Hanna continued, âtheyâre all fine with my moms, anyway.â
Gabby nodded and Hanna held out her hand again. This time, Gabby took it, smiling, and hopped off the counter.Â
âThank you,â Jai drew out when Hanna handed him the bowl, and Hanna nodded in return, settling down on the couch with Gabby. Hanna opened her arms and Gabby leaned into her chest.Â
âYou know, I think if the Losers were actually smart, they wouldnât run to try and stop IT,â Jai said, holding his arm up vertically. âI mean like, Pennywise was gonna take them anyway most likely. Itâs kinda useless.â
âJai, you do realize what we did when Connor was missing, right?â Hanna asked incredulously.Â
âWell yeah. But thatâs cause we had a friend missing.â
There was an awkward silence. âJai, Georgie was missing. Heâs Billâs brother,â Luke deadpanned.Â
Jai blinked. âYeah okay, I see your point.â
The rest of the movie passed relatively smoothly, Gabby falling asleep first, two-thirds of the way through the movie, her head resting on Hannaâs shoulder. Hanna fell asleep 10 minutes after that, and then Jai during the last scene in the field.Â
âThat was fun,â Luke whispered at 1:30 am when the movie ended and the credits started.Â
âYeah,â Connor whispered back, neither of them bothering to get up and turn the tv off just yet.Â
âWatching this movie makes me realize how glad I am to have you back,â Luke told Connor, running his hands through Connorâs hair and then kissing his hairline.Â
âI wouldnât want to be anywhere else,â Connor replied, and they fell into an easy silence. When the credits finally stopped, Connor reluctantly pulled away from Luke.
âWhere are you going?â Luke whined, flopping on the couch, reaching for Connor.
âI have to put away the disk and turn off the tv,â Connor answered, bending down and taking the remote from Jaiâs hand, then clicking the tv off. âBut we can go to my room after.â
âOh, okay,â Luke said, standing up and waiting in the doorway. When they left the room, they didnât have to turn off the lights. All the members of the Midnight Society now had strings of lights hung up around their houses, and Connorâs living room was no differentâthere was a string of white Christmas lights around the room, and the actual lights had been off for a while.Â
It was nearing 4 am when the sky had started lightening in the summer morning that Luke and Connor were both laying in Connorâs bed finally trying to sleep. Their legs were intertwined and they were both laying on their sides, facing each other. âIâm really glad youâre my boyfriend, angel,â Connor whispered.
âIâm super glad youâre my boyfriend, too, Con,â Luke whispered back, brushing a stray strand of hair out of Connorâs face, then kissing him again. With that, they both drifted off into a peaceful sleep in each othersâ arms.
It may just be a coincidence, but in the last Are You Afraid of the Dark, I noticed that when the kids actually got taken by the Shadowman, they got taken in the reverse order that they were taken in Lukeâs dream.
Like, in his dream, the Shadowman got Seth, then Gabby, the Hannah, but then they were actually taken, it was Hannah, then Gabby, then Seth.
