Some photos from last month's The Great American Blanket Fort/Blanket Drive Comedy Show which was held at the Brillobox in Pittsburgh, PA.

Over 70 blankets were donated, used to construct a giant blanket fort and then promptly donated to the Light of Life Mission located on North Avenue in the North side section of Pittsburgh.

On Tuesday, January 22nd Gab Bonesso's Imagination Factory Theater (by appointment only) held it's first annual Great American Blanket Fort/Blanket Drive at the Brillobox in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Over 70 blankets were raised in total and donated to the Light of Life Mission located on the north side of Pittsburgh.

For those who don't find the upstairs at Brillobox quite intimate enough, may we recommend The Great American Blanket Fort/Blanket Drive Comedy Show? Comedian Gab Bonesso combines her desire to help homeless folks with her love of blanket forts. Donate a blanket for this structure, which will shelter the audience as it watches performers like Bonesso, Josh Verbanets, Chrissy Costa and John McIntire. No word on whether hot chocolate will be served. BO 7 p.m. fort construction; 8:23 p.m. show. 4104 Penn Ave., Bloomfield. Cost: one or more blankets. 412-621-4900

Auditions for February Performance

Casting Notice for LIVE TALK SHOW on February 12th, 2013

The Gab Bonesso Show is seeking the following:

Child actor needed for house sketch comedy troupe. Actor must have a guardian present and be available for a Tuesday night performance from 7PM-8:30PM. Child actor must be versatile, adept in comedy and happy. 

Pittsburgh celebrity needed as guest for talk show.

Two Camera Operators are needed to film LIVE TALK SHOW on February 12th. (Cameras will be provided) Camera Operators must have experience being a human and knowing how to point. Camera Operators can not laugh or cry during performance. 

Adult actor needed to pretend to be the producer of the event although it’s just a performance. (LARP performer preferred.) Think Gelman from LIVE With Kelly and Michael.

Artistic Vision:

At GBIFT(BAO), we believe that artists are constantly growing and evolving much like everything else in life. Our vision for the company is to reach bench marks of growth by the end of each season. Hopefully culminating in a long relationship with Pittsburgh and Pittsburghers for decades to come.

We believe in order to create art without self-doubt, it’s best to develop work within small test groups. Hence our company being “by appointment only”.

Each production will have a limited amount of seats/tickets available. Audience members, like actors, will also have to go through an interview process to even be considered to purchase a ticket. As mentioned in the mission statement, audience members with strong imaginations are wanted.

Artistic Director/Executive Producer, Gab Bonesso is now searching for resident actors. Actors will be asked to stay on for a full season performing in a range of experimental productions. 

Gab Bonesso’s Imagination Factory Theater (by Appointment Only) is an equal opportunity provider. Actors are eligible for roles beyond their natural fit. For example, men can audition for women’s roles and vice versa. Child actors can audition to play adults. Since imagination is key, our company will NEVER type cast anyone.
