dude i fuckin WISH. Honestly I might give this account to someone else because I’m never on tumblr anymore (moved to insta) and in the last couple years my music taste has changed, all that stuff. I just saw a fresh ask the other day and was like yknow what, I’m just gonna answer it. If anyone is up to taking over the account and giving it the love I don’t give it, I’d be more than willing because this is a gold mine of amazing stuff and I don’t want it to get deleted or die, but I just don’t have my heart in it anymore. Oof, a lil bit of a rant-

Well, I’m not one to judge since just the other day I had the most filthy dream you could possibly imagine. Not about Rog (a certain, uh, crush), but still. No, really, I think it’s perfectly natural for that to happen when you’re attracted to someone.

I definitely agree that that 1984 interview was not one of Roger’s best moments. But I do feel that he has wised up/become more sympathetic since that interview. Especially since he goes after Trump and his sexist tweets during the Us + Them tour. Roger had a lot to learn about since 1984, so hopefully he’s more receptive.

Yep, fully agreee with everything. We can hope, right?

I’d just like to get your opinion- I was listening to an interview Rog gave in 1984 about Pros and Cons and he came off as quite misogynistic in some things he said. He flippantly dismissed the Women Against Rape movement in one example (if you’ve heard it there are plenty of other questionable statements). As a fan of his I found this troubling, even though I’m fairly ambivalent about Pros and Cons itself. As a socialist and a pro-Palestine campaigner he should be a bit more aware. Thoughts?

Ugh, yeah. I can definitely see the misogynistic stuff. I agree that with his orientation and advocacy he should definitely be a bit more aware. People’s views change so maybe in 30 years’ time he has a different outlook on that? I dunno, though. It certainly is a bit troubling to consider that he thinks like that, but yet at the same time he seems much too intelligent to hold views of that level of stupidity and ignorance. I can’t really recall any recent sources where he might’ve expressed something to that extent so who knows.

Teacher Waters anon: I was thinking more of Roger being one of those teachers that everyone either loves, hates, fears, or a combination of them. He keeps an oversized lego at his desk because he throws it at students who are being assholes. Roger also keeps a piggy plush on his desk that makes a squeeky noise when it lands after throwing it

I could def see this with ‘90s Rog. ‘70s Rog seems too quiet and reserved to do more than meekly teach the kids.
