I love the apex girls! And women in general

Renee was always reserved, even when she was young. Quiet and observant, it took time for her to relax a little when she met others. She was bright, and would come out of her shell, laughing and smiling with everyone else. Once, she always confided in you, wondered where you were when she couldnât see you. It was routine for you two to pass time together, talking, doing dumb stunts.
One day, she disappeared. The spot where you two would meet was vacant. The first few days of her absence, you assumed that she was grounded. Days passed, then weeks, you missed her so terribly, it broke your heart. Not knowing where she was, what state she was in, your mind couldnât leave it alone. Months passed, there were days where you didnât think about her, other days memories of her made your heart ache. Now, years passed, and you had convinced yourself you had accepted the fact that you may never see her again.
Life went on, you only thought of her once in a while. Early one weekend, you woke up to someone furiously knocking at your door. You hopped out of bed, grabbing something random to put on. You opened the door. A small framed woman stands before you.Â
Something about her features tells you youâve seen her before. â.. A-Are you Y/n?..â Her own eyes wide, she felt the same strange familiarity. You were baffled at how she knew your name. Still, you answered a quick yes. Your eyebrows furrowed, staring at her face, wanting to make sense of your gut feeling. âItâs Renee, y/n.â She said, astonished that she had found you. Tears filled your eyes, memories flooding into your brain. Without thinking, you wrapped your arms around her. She stiffened, then relaxed, but not melting into you. You pulled away, afraid that youâve frightened her. You both mumbled a bit of an awkward apology.Â
Inviting her in, she explained what had happened. She was captured by people affiliated with the IMC, vaguely mentioned she was made into an experiment, and the farfetched tale of how she escaped. Her memories started resurfacing, you were a large part of what happy memories she had retained. At long last she had found you. You took her in, she had become a vagabond after her escape.
She finally had a place to rest, and you watched her get better every day. First, there were inklings of her old self. She slowly healed from the abuse at the hands of scientists. Her personality shone through her usual disposition more and more. What bond you had with her when you were young was renewed.Â
Wraithâs past still haunts her, but she is forever grateful that you support her and pulled her through becoming herself again. Both of you grew closer to each other, lingering more when youâd touch each other. As Renee began to participate in the games, you found yourself pausing saying a simple goodbye and good luck. You knew what your heart wanted, but you didnât want to ruin what you had with her.Â
Months, and your routine of telling her farewell stayed the same until you mustered just enough courage to call her name as she turned to walk away. She stopped in her tracks, sensing the urgency in your voice. You couldnât get your mouth to form the words you so wanted to tell her.Â
âI love you too.â Renee said as she walked towards you, words you never thought the often stoic woman would say to you. She trusted the voices this time, but she always trusted what she felt for you. You were frozen in shock, taking a long moment to realize how she knew. It felt as though it happened so quickly. Her hand softly cradled your cheek, her lips met your other cheek. She whispered a little goodbye against your lips. You stuttered a reply. Before you knew it, she had gone off on her way to the arena.Â
When she returned from the match, with a spot on the first place squad as usual, you chastised her for how incredibly cheesy what she did was. Your heart was content nonetheless. The love of your life, someone you had known for so long was finally yours and forever yours.
