Shigaraki’s Guard Dog (Tomura Shigaraki X Reader)
Head cannon of how the family is with a reader who is Zeno's wife (obviously, she isn't Silva's biological mother, but he considers her his mother as she married Zeno when Silva was still a baby. Basing it off of Silva's biologicalmother died during childbirth) adding that for some reason the Zoldyck's have it in their heads that her word is law, her opinions matter, and if you're someone who is currently dating or is friends with one of the Zoldyck children, It's not Kikyo whose approval matters, it's Zeno's wife whose approval actually matters, and even though Silva was just a baby when Zeno married her, they didn't have any kids. For Zeno, one child was enough, and to the reader, Silva was her baby (despite never giving birth to him)
Request: Head cannon of how the family is with a reader who is Zeno's wife (obviously, she isn't Silva's biological mother, but he considers her his mother as she married Zeno when Silva was still a baby. For Zeno, one child was enough, and to the reader, Silva was her baby (despite never giving birth to him)
You remember the day that you were hired at the Zoldyck Family House, the only thing that you had been told was the lady of the house had died during childbirth and someone was needed to help raise the child. You had taken to the young child quickly and despite it not being your job cared for the grieving head of the house as well. Zeno had appreciated the help but had not expected to fall for you the way that he had. It only took a few years for him to decide that he had no intention of letting you leave. At first framed it as beneficial to Silva, until he was man enough to admit that he wanted you there too.
Since then the rest of the family had known you had their grandmother or mother in law. It took a long while for Kikyo to even realise that you weren’t Silva’s biological mother. Silva didn’t know much about his biological mother but you made sure that he knew what she looked like and asked Zeno to keep some pictures for his son. Silva had looked at them a few times when he was younger and even showed his children the pictures of her but he still had no problem treating you as his mother. The children followed suit.
Illumi would come to you for advice, there was a lot about the world that he didn’t understand and for some reason you were the one that he sought out when he needed answers. Milluki was one that needed encouragement, you noticed his interest in collecting when he was younger and used it to help with his motivation to train and then later get his missions done. Killua sort you out because you actually treated him like a normal kid, yes he was the heir that they had all been waiting for but he was still a child that needed time to grow the same as Silva.
When Alluka was born with the power that she had, you took it in stride. You gave her the time that she needed and instead of her being raised by the butlers as the others primarily were, you took charge of her care. Zeno watched carefully from afar as you took note of the rules and even broke them in some cases. You welcomed Killua’s help when he wanted to give it. When Silva made the decision to lock her away there was nothing that you could do about it but you were angry with him for a long time, it only eased when he allowed you to visit her regularly.
You weren’t surprised when Killua ran away, that was why you helped him get out and pointed him in the way of what he wanted, the Hunter Exam. When morning came and Kikyo had been patched up she turned on you. There was no tension in your body as you sat in the chair, you had even signalled for the boys to stand down as she ranted, hands moving frantically. When you were done listening to empty threats and repeated points you sighed. “Are you finished?”
“What?”
“I asked if that was all you were going to say because we’ve circled back to the same point three times now and as far as I’m concerned Killua is strong enough to be out in the world making a name for himself, what good is an heir that no one fears?” You leaned forward with your elbows resting on your knees as you met her gaze “he wants to do something fun, the hunter exam will be no problem for him and what harm does it do? It gives him the ability to travel unhindered, it makes work far easier doesn’t it?”
“You make a good point.” Silva answered as Kikyo looked between the two of them.
“What if he wants to be a hunter and not an assassin?” Kikyo pressed forward and you rolled your eyes.
“Hunter’s are assassins in their own right… Explain to me what difference that makes, he can still be the head of the family either way, you have 4 other children that can do the job he leaves open for them, yes it’s unconventional but it’s not impossible. Times are changing and the family needs to change with them if you want it to survive.”
“You can’t-”
“Enough!” Silva finally stopped the argument “there is no point in fighting, he's already gone.” Kikyo’s eyes stayed on you and that was when Zeno stepped up to stand behind the chair that you were sitting on. Kikyo grit her teeth before turning and walking out of the room. Everyone else followed suit until you were left with only Zeno.
“Why don’t you ever just put them in their place?” He asked, leaning down and pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
“Whatever do you mean?” You smiled as your hand found the back of his neck, leaning back to look at her.
“You know what I mean.” He looked down at you and you leaned back to catch his gaze “it’s one of the reasons that I wanted you to stay.”
“I don’t need to almost kill someone to make a point.” You leaned up and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
As per usual Kikyo never listened to you, instead she sent Illumi after Killua and he was eventually brought home and punished for leaving. You were one of the first people that he came to see when he was back “Killua your back earlier then I thought you would be.” Killua scratched the back of his neck as he walked towards you settling on the seat next to you.
“Tell me about what you saw out there?” You leaned back, your arm over the back of the chair where he sat. Killua told you about the new friends that he had made and the tests that he had to go through to get a hunter license, although he seemed genuinely sad that he hadn’t managed to get his hunter license. As you listened you gently cleaned some of the wounds on his arms and torso.
“So you want to go and see them again?” You asked.
“I don’t know if I’m allowed.” He frowned. You smiled softly.
“I didn’t ask what you were allowed to do, I asked what you wanted to do.” You glanced at the door where Silva had silently come to stand.
“I want to see my friends again.” You glanced up at Silva who seemed to be realising something for the first time or putting together a cunning plan, even having raised him you weren’t entirely sure. “Once I’m finished cleaning these wounds maybe you should go see your father, he might let you go and see them.”
“You think!?” His eyes widened as he looked at you, you smiled and nodded.
The yelling that filled the halls the moment that Silva let Killua leave was mildly annoying. You rolled your eyes as you stood to find the source of the noise, not surprised to find that Silva and Kikyo were in a heated argument. You weren’t particularly listening to the shrieking words coming from Kikyo but the pitch of her voice was causing a headache. The blood lust that leaked from you stopped the argument immediately. “If you are going to continue to yell, can you please do it in private!” You ordered.
“You both conspired against me to allow-”
“No one conspired against you, all I wanted was for your son to be happy. How likely is he to come back if he thinks this place is a prison?” You pressed two fingers to your temple as you closed your eyes.
“I should-” She didn’t get very far into the sentence before her own shadow wrapped it’s hand around her throat.
“You should what?” You asked.
“Mother.”
“Yes son?” You looked at him and a bright smile on your face.
“Please don’t kill my wife.” You dismissed your nen ability allowing her shadow to fall back into place against the wall and floor. “As you wish, son.” You walked past them both back towards your room patting his arm as you did.
“Why did you ever let him marry her?” You groaned as you closed the door to your bedroom.
“I believe it was you who said that he should have the choice.” Zeno glanced at you from where he was sitting reading it seemed.
“Mm.” You hummed as he beckoned you over to him, you laced your fingers with his and he pulled you down with him.
“It’s been a while since you used your nen ability.”
“You were the one that suggested it.” You settled in your seat looking around for the book that you had put down late last night.
“Mm, I didn’t expect that you would do it, she won’t be so quick to question you now.” He pressed a kiss to your head before reaching behind him and producing the book that you were looking for.
“We both know that she would never truly challenge me.” You settled to continue with your book.
“And if she ever did she would have more than you to answer to.” Something you were sure that she knew.
Request: Very random request but how would shu be in a relationship with kianna once they're back together
(If you're wondering about their relationship you can find it on my page)
💤 It takes a long time to develop into a relationship. They met when they were quite young, though Kianna probably doesn’t remember.
💤 It might even take Shu a second to recognise her when he meets her again.
💤 Then he’s going to be resistant for a while, as noted in a previous piece he does like Kianna despite what she might think.
💤 He has trouble expressing the way that he feels so it shows in the small things, like making sure that his brothers can't get to her and that she has everything that she needs.
💤 He is protective of her even if she can take care of herself. Shu would rather obliterate the threat then let her get hurt trying to figure out how to fight it.
💤 Physical affection takes time, months for Shu. He’ll accept anything that she’s willing to give but he won’t return it for a little while. Probably at least a few months.
💤 When you get to the point when he is giving physical affection freely, you’ll find that he’ll just move you himself rather than ask or direct you to where he wants you to be.
💤 We all know that Shu loves to sleep and has often injured people that try to wake him. Kianna is not one of those people, she’s the only one that’s allowed to get close enough to wake him or just lay with him.
💤 If Kianna is injured at any point he’d definitely find the person responsible as much as he wouldn’t ever give her the choice of what happened to the culprit he will do everything for her.
💤 Shu doesn’t talk much but he does listen to anything that Kianna says and then implements anything that he can.
💤 Shu would often follow Kianna when she wants to go on short walks or just out somewhere in general, sometimes in secret other times he’ll just walk next to her it depends on his mood.
💤 Speaking of moods, if he’s in a bad one he’ll often seek Kianna, she doesn’t talk too much or try to get him to talk about what has upset him but he might end up telling her if he's sure that it’s not going to upset her.
💤 By the time that they are actually married Shu would have settled into what he thinks is a routine, making sure that Kianna is looked after, eliminating any threats and creating a safe space.
💤 All in all Shu is really protective of anyone that he cares about enough to say that they have a relationship. Kianna is probably one of the people that he cares about the most, even his brothers don’t come close. She is probably one of the most important people in his life.
Request: Hi I juste finish reading story of our live could you do the same but with hatori?
Hatori had always been a quiet kid, he only had three friends when he was younger, two of them were his own family members. You were the third, you the girl who had no trouble defending others, but never defended yourself.
The first time that you had met was when a few kids decided that it was a good idea to bully the new kid. “Hey! Leave him alone!” You didn’t think twice when you pushed one of the older boys.
“Oh hey squirt.” One of them poked at your forehead “thought you would like that he had someone else focus on.”
“That doesn’t mean that I’m going to let you mess with someone else.” You hit his hand away as you dove forward again to try and knock him off balance.
“Cute, a little hero.” He teased as he pushed you away again, the others in his group laughing as you stumbled. You grit your teeth as you glanced at the boy who still sat behind the other two of the group. The leader of the group leaned down “what do you think? You wanna leave? Last chance.” You leaned forward in a flash and your forehead connected with the bridge of his nose. He reeled back in pain holding his face, his two lackeys crowding him. “Stop!” He ordered pushing them both away, he turned to you, blood dripping down towards the top lip. He now lifted his fist aiming straight for you, this time you didn’t move instead you flinched and curled in on yourself.
“H-hey!” The shaky yell of the boy that they had been picking on before, the fist never hit you though and for a second you feared that they had turned back on the boy. You moved quicker this time but realised that someone else had caught the fist before it hit you.
“Well would you look at that Ayame, Hatori made a friend.” Another boy with grey short hair said, he was the one who had stopped them from hitting you.
“It seems that he has, a good one too.” The boy standing next to him said, his hair shoulder length and a stark white.
“A-ayame?” The one that had attempted to hit you stuttered out as he stumbled back, you looked between the boys who now stood in front of you. “What are you doing here? You-” his eyes darted back to the new boy.
“Any reason that you're picking on my friend?” Ayame asked.
“We didn’t-”
“Know? You shouldn’t need to.” The grey haired one was the one that spoke. “How about you just leave and we forget this ever happened.” The boy nodded “oh and don’t bother her again either.”
They checked on their friend, Hatori, first. You stood up dusting yourself off. “Um thank you.” You looked up, not expecting for him to even acknowledge you.
“You're welcome.” You turned to walk away.
“You wanna hang out with us?” That was the one with the grey hair one turned to you and you frowned.
“Why?” You asked.
“You stood up for our friend, we’d like to have you as a friend as well.” Ayame answered.
---
They were trouble and you should have known it. Shigure was mischievous, Ayame naive to his tricks and Hatori, well he had no motivation to stop them. Only watched on as their plots caused everyone around them trouble. You laughed along, you had no intention of stopping them but would defend them whenever needed. The four of you became the crew that no one would mess with but within your little gang was a brewing bet. Shigure was sure that you and Hatori would get together after the curse was broken, you were the closest in the group after all, Ayame on the other hand believed that you wouldn’t because you would both do what it took to protect the other. They of course hadn’t told you any of that but they watched you both always.
“Are they still watching?” Hatori asked as he continued to read the book that he had open.
“Of course they are.” You leaned forward to snatching one of the sweets he still had on the table next to him. “You think they’re up to something?”
“They’re always up to something.” Hatori glanced at the two teens, Ayame lifted his hand to wave at you both.
“What do you think it is?” You popped the candy into your mouth and then leant your chin against your hand.
“It doesn’t matter.” He reached towards you pressing his finger to the paper that you had long since forgotten. “You're supposed to be working on something.”
“I-”
“You need to focus, don’t worry about them.” Hatori waved off the two who were now attempting to look less interested in the two of you.
“Alright, alright.” You looked down at the paper in front of you, attempting again to complete the work that he could definitely tell you the answers to.
---
Hatori had always aimed to keep you away from the Sohma house, if you met outside of school he would often be the one to come to you. He had been honest when he said that there was someone that he did not want to subject you to. You never wanted to push him but today it seemed that trouble would find you.
It was supposed to be a nice day, you had both opted for sitting out in the sun. Hatori had gotten you a drink and you were both seated in the park while you talked and Hatori listened as always. “Hatori!” You both turned at the call of his name but you didn’t recognise the voice or the person it belonged to. When you looked back at Hatori it was clear that he did. A girl was walking towards us, she had short dark hair and a look in her eyes that made her seem darker still. “This is the friend that keeps you away all the time?”
“She doesn’t keep me away.” Hatori leant forward in such a way that it almost obscured you from view.
“Oh but she does.” The girl moved around the table and sat next to you on the bench, you noticed Hatori tense, it looked like he was contemplating coming around to you or even asking you to move altogether. “Your (Y/N) I’ve heard the boys talk about you” she put out her hand “Akito Sohma.” You took her hand with a smile but the moment that she grabbed your hand you hissed, her grip tighter than it needed to be.
“Nice to meet you.” You assumed that this was the family member that he wanted to keep you away from and you weren’t going to give her the satisfaction of scaring you.
“Mmm.” She hummed as she looked between the two of you. “She’s not that much to look at, I don’t understand why she keeps your attention.”
“Akito.” Hatori warned his voice taking on a dangerous edge, you looked between the two, catching his eye for a second and trying to convey that you were okay. You couldn’t bring yourself to say anything and she smirked.
“You all said that she was a fighter, doesn’t seem like much of one now.”
“Akito!” Hatori warned again, she opened her mouth to speak again but this time someone else called her name.
“Akito, causing trouble I see.” Shigure. You still couldn’t lift your head to look at them as much as you wanted to prove that you weren’t affected by the girl that you had just met, you failed. You were so caught up in your head that you didn’t hear anyone else, so you flinched when someone softly redirected your gaze.
“Life your head (Y/N) your face deserves to see the sun.” Ayame smiled softly, your eyes found Hatori across the table who would not look at you. You rolled your lips between your teeth and bit down softly before standing.
“I have to go, I’ll see you all at school.” You stood and left without giving either of them a chance to say anything else.
---
“(Y/N) wait! Can we talk to you?” Hatori called after you as you continued to walk up the stairs leading to the roof. You had hoped that they wouldn’t find you before you got up there and then would spend all of their time looking for you in the school grounds and you wouldn’t have to talk to them before you were ready. The problem wasn't them or their crazy relatives, the problem was that you thought you had gotten over freezing when people attacked you. They had helped you so much but that was something that they didn’t seem to have helped you with.
“Seriously guys you don’t have to explain anything.” You promised as you continued on your trek.
“Then why are you running away from us?” Hatori asked.
“I’m not, I just have things to do.” You answered, if you had taken a moment to listen you would have realised that Hatori had sped up to catch you. Instead you felt his hand wrap around your wrist and pulled you to a stop, the problem was that you weren’t expecting it so when you were pulled back you stumbled slightly crashing into Hatori’s chest and then he was gone, you caught yourself on the railing in front of you and frowned when you realised that Hatori was nowhere to be found. You glanced down and saw that there was a pile of clothes on the floor and a slight wiggling from under the clothes.
“Woah! (Y/N) are you okay?” Shigure asked gently moving you back as Ayame crouched to gently pick up whatever had been wriggling in the clothes.
“Yeah fine, where’s Hatori?” You asked, looking around, Shigure and Ayame shared a look before Ayame answered.
“You have to promise not to panic.”
“Panic?” You asked, Shigure slowly unwrapped the clothing to show a small seahorse nestled in the clothing. Your eyes moved between the two boys “how did you get him to agree to this better yet how did you pull it off?”
“This isn’t a trick.” Shigure covered the little sea horse before grabbing the rest of the clothes and walked towards the door leading to the roof. “Once Hatori has recovered we’ll explain everything.”
“Recovered? Why are we going to the roof? Doesn't he need water or something?” You frowned, you don’t know when you started believing the story or why.
“He doesn’t need water.” Ayame assured you as he walked you towards the roof.
“I don’t understand.”
“Don’t worry, we'll explain.”
Seeing Hatori turn back confirmed that it was no joke “so let me get this straight, your family is cursed to turn into animals from the zodiac when you hug someone of the opposite gender?” They all nodded “your a dog, your a snake and your a sea horse. Wait, what does a sea horse have to do with the zodiac?”
“Sea horses are supposed to be able to turn into dragons after 100 years, according to myth.” Shigure shrugged.
“That’s what we’re going with?” You raised an eyebrow.
“Mmm, it also might be due to the fact that the curse is weakening.” You nodded slowly, it didn’t really make sense to you but you were happy with what you had gotten from them.
“There’s something else that we need to talk about.” Hatori caught your eye and twisted your head.
“Why were you running from us?” He asked, your eyes cast to the floor as you took a deep breath.
“I shouldn’t have frozen the way that I did.” You finally answered, they all looked between each other.
“It’s not your job to protect everyone, it’s okay to freeze when you're faced with a new threat.” Ayame leaned forward, squeezing your hand.
“We’ve dealt with her since her birth, her cruelty is nothing that we don’t already know.” Hatori assured you.
“She’s like that all the time?” You looked between them.
“Not always.” Shigure said “she gets jealous.”
“Jealous? Of what? You all making a life for yourselves. That’s not jealousy, that's control.” You could see Shigure gritting his teeth as the other two seemed in some way to agree with what you were saying. You didn’t say anything else, instead allowing Ayame to change the subject to his plans to become student council president with Hatori as his second.
---
You had all long since left school but still talked everyday. You would often go and visit Hatori at the Sohma main residence despite his warning for you not to. Akito would often clash with you leaving you wounded physically and emotionally but you never stood down because if she was looking at you she wasn’t looking at the boys or the now younger members of the family.
Today was no different, Akito had found you in Hatori’s office. Yuki, Ayame’s little brother, had been born with Asthma so he was often checked over by Hatori to make sure that everything was okay. Akito for some reason had developed a rather intense infatuation with Yuki and you assumed that was what set her off this time. You had been crouched next to Yuki. He seemed upset today but didn’t want to tell anyone why. “What’s going on kid?” You asked.
“Where can I find a friend like you?” Yuki clutched at his trouser legs. You looked at Hatori, you could see the sadness cross his face as you redirected Yuki’s gaze to you.
“Are we not friends?”
“Y-yes but you can’t come to school with me or be with me when I’m lonely.” He was right you couldn’t “you can’t-” He stopped talking and it was then that you glanced behind you to see Akito standing at the door.
“Yuki come with me.” She smiled sweetly but you had been on the receiving end of that enough to know what was coming next.
“His check up isn’t done, Hatori-”
“I was not speaking to you, outsider!” Akito had taken to calling you by anything but your name hoping that it would in some way shake you.
“And yet I am talking to you, his check up is not done yet.” You were the only barrier between her and Yuki and you’d continue to be. Her gaze turned murderous in seconds as she looked for something to use as a weapon, her eyes landed on a vase at the door to her right. It only took a second for her to decide to throw it, your eyes widened as you turned your body to make sure that none of the broken glass hit Yuki. You still standing seemed to enrage her more and she moved to continue to assault but Shigure appeared wrapping an arm around her waist.
“Akito if you aren’t careful you’ll hurt Yuki too.” He said softly, she sagged at that, eyes catching on the boy behind you. Shigure guides her away as you turn back to Yuki “are you okay?”
“Are you okay?”
“You're bleeding.” Yuki pointed at your arm but you just smiled.
“You said before that I couldn’t be with you all the time and you're right but I take what I can so what you have to carry seems a little lighter.” You flicked at his nose with your uninjured hand as Ayame came into the room.
“Shigure told me what happened. Are you guys okay?”
“Everyone is fine except for the usual culprit.” Hatori sighed standing and pulling you to sit in the chair that he was occupying before moving around the small space to get what he needed to clean your wounds.
“Come on Yuki, let’s get you home.” Ayame said softly, he glanced at you one more time and you waved with a big smile on your face.
“Go on, I'll be fine.” Once Yuki had gone Hatori turned to you and started cleaning your hand.
“It doesn’t seem like any of them are too deep.” He said softly.
“What’s wrong?” You asked.
“Nothing.” He answered.
“You are a terrible liar.” You looked at your hand. “I’m fine.”
“No you're not, I wish that you would value yourself a lot more than you do.” He started wrapping your hand “You always use yourself as a barrier, you have since we were kids.”
“It’s the only thing that I have to use.” You looked away from him.
“Ypu have more to offer than that.” Hatori took your chin in his hands, directing your gaze to him and making sure that you knew he was serious.
---
You didn’t know that Hatori was considering dating someone. That had to be the reason that it felt like someone had punched you in the gut. Kana. You remembered her from school, you didn’t know that they were still talking, scratch that you didn’t know that they talked at all. This was the one announcement that Akito had allowed you to be present for probably because she hoped that it would hurt you. So instead of letting her know it did, you hung around with the kids, kept them occupied, Kyo included. You had managed to tucker out all of the kids and helped get them all to bed before deciding it was time to head home yourself. You had managed to avoid having to talk to Hatori or his new girlfriend and you were aiming to keep it that way. “Leaving so soon?”
“It’s time that I go home.” You answered as Shigure moved to stand at your side, Ayame on your opposite side of you.
“As long as that’s the only reason.” Ayame reached over and squeezed your hands.
“What?”
“Come on, we’ve been friends with you as long as he has, we’ve seen you both together, you don’t have to hide from us.” Shigure wrapped an arm around your shoulders “I know that you like to run from feelings like this but we’re still here, promise.”
“Thanks guys.” You said softly, Ayame reached over and gently wiped a thumb against your cheek.
“You need someone to walk you home?”
“No I’ll be fine, see ya guys.” You waved before disappearing down the stairs.
---
Hatori caught sight of Shigure and Ayame at the entrance to the house “I’ll be right back.” He pressed a kiss to Kana’s head and walked towards them. He expected for you to be standing with them, shielded from view with their larger frames but when he got there he realised that you weren’t there. “Where’s (Y/N)?” He asked.
“On her way home.” Shigure answered.
“On her own at this hour?”
“Did you expect her to want company?” Ayame turned to him.
“What are you talking about?”
“Don’t pretend that you don’t know. Hatori where is all of this coming from?” Hatori frowned at them.
“I don’t know what you're implying.” Hatori turned away from them.
“I know that you don’t want her getting hurt but she still is. It’s just a different type of pain and you're the one hurting her.” Ayame looked in the direction that you had gone “She’ll support you through everything, no matter how much it hurts.”
“She’ll just keep doing it for the kids now.” Shigure shrugged leaning against the wall. “So what difference has this all made?”
---
You were only ever around the house when you came by to see the kids. If you wanted to see Shigure or Ayame you’d arrange to meet up somewhere or show up at Ayame’s shop or Shigure’s house. You had seen Hatori in passing and smiled or waved. Kana would often involve you in a conversation that you would have to drag yourself through before finding a way to escape it. With the engagement announced you were a lot more distant. Spending time learning self defense, DIY or anything else that would keep you occupied.
You now spent most nights alone and tonight was no different, there was something playing on the TV but you weren’t really paying attention instead you were thinking about how much everything had changed. You missed Hatori, while you weren’t sure that you were able to let your friendship go like this.
You stood from where you were sitting deciding that you wanted to at least talk to him. You opened the door jumping when you realised that there was someone there, the very person that you had been looking for. You frowned when he didn’t look up “Hatori what happened?” You stepped forward gently lifting his chin to look at you, you took in a deep breath at the dressing covering his eye. “What happened!?”
“Akito.” He answered. You weren’t there and he got hurt, you should have been there. “I… I had to let her go, she wasn’t able to handle Akito.”
“Kana?” You asked, stepping back and gently guiding him into the house and into the living room.
“S-she was so distant, jumpy, I couldn’t force her to live that way. Especially when she wouldn’t have gone through any of that if I had been braver.” Hatori let you lead him into your living room where he sat down, he pressed his hands to his eyes, you immediately moved forward taking the heel of hand away from his injured eye.
“Don’t do that you’ll hurt yourself, what do you mean braver?” You asked your thumb now running over the back of his hand.
“I liked her but she… I-” You’ve never seen him at a loss for words so you pressed your forehead to his.
“Breathe. I’ll still be here after you tell me.” He looks at you.
“You promise?”
“Yeah, I promise.”
“I just thought it was the best way to protect you, Kana didn’t fight Akito the way that you did and if Akito thought that I wasn’t still… Talking to you then she’d leave you alone. I should have thought about how Kana would have dealt with Akito when she threw her next tantrum.” He spat the next part with venom as his free hand clenched into a fist. “I should have just talked to you.”
“Yeah you should have, but that doesn’t matter now, what happened with Kana?” You asked.
“I helped her lock away the memories, she doesn’t remember anything, she won’t even remember that we were engaged.” You sighed, you wanted to wrap your arms around him knocking your forehead against his, he pressed back as if understanding the comfort meant by the action.
“Come on, let's get you into bed then.” You pulled him up from where he was sitting, you walked towards your bedroom, you didn’t have a guest bedroom. You grabbed some clothes that he had left there at some point telling him to get changed. Your phone rang as you set up the bed, you answered and were greeted by a panicked Ayame.
“Hatori is missing-”
“Calm down, he’s here.” You glanced over as the bathroom door opened. “He’s going to stay here tonight, we’ll come back tomorrow morning.”
“He’s okay?” Ayame asked.
“Apart from the eye?” You asked, Ayame hums in response “He’s as okay as he can be.”
“Thanks.”
“Yeah no problem.” Hatori sat on the end of the bed as you hung up the phone. You walked back into the bedroom.
“It’s time to get some rest.” You said softly.
---
Akito was only more angry that you were still around, she honestly thought that you weren’t coming back, even if the kids still talked about you. “What are you doing here?” She glared at you and you just smiled.
“Did you really think that you could get rid of me that easily?” You asked.
“You think I can’t?” Her face curled as she lifted her hand, she moved quickly but so did you, you caught her wrist and leaned closer.
“The worst thing that you did was hurt someone that I cared about, you’ll never get rid of me now.” You pushed her back with a small smirk on your face as you turned and walked towards Hatori’s office.
“You learned self defense?” He asked.
“You saw that?” You scratched the back of your head “well I was still making sure that Kyo was alright and since I was at the Dojo I decided to learn.” Hatori’s lips quirked with a small smile as you sat down in one of the chairs.
“Let me see your hands.” He put his hand out waiting for you to place your hand in his.
“She didn’t even hit me.” You rolled your eyes.
“If you insist on drawing her aggravation then I will check you after every altercation no matter the severity.” he gestured again for you to show him your hands and you did rolling your eyes.
“We’re so glad that you're back to normal.” Shigure was leant against the doorframe and Hatori leaned back swinging the door closed and you giggled. It was nice that things were back to normal.
---
“So your Tohru.” You smiled as you walked over to her. Shigure had phoned you after Tohru had called in a panic because Hatori had transformed into a sea horse.
“I am.” She answered as she stepped protectively in front of Hatori who still seemed to be bunched up in his clothing.
“It’s okay, my name’s (Y/N). I'm friends with Hatori and Shigure. Shigure called because there is a seahorse problem.” She seemed to relax and then her eyes widened.
“You're in the picture at Shigure’s house.” She stepped to the side allowing you to get close enough to scoop him up gently. “Let’s go back to his office, we can wait there until he recovers.” Tohru was quiet on the walk back but once you were settled she decided to ask a question.
“Did you meet in school?” Tohru asked.
“Yeah, Hatori was new around here when we first met, some kids were bullying him and I stepped in.” You answered with a small smile on your face “and then Shigure and Ayame decided that we would all be friends.”
“Shigure said that you and Hatori are close.” You glanced at the chair where Hatori was still wrapped in his clothes.
“Yeah we are, same as you Kyo and Yuki.” She blushed and you smiled.
“They gave me a place to stay when I needed it and they’ve looked after me since.” Tohru fiddled with her fingers “I want to help them if I can.”
“Trust me you're helping them just by being there.” You winked as a puff of smoke signified Hatori changing back, you covered Torhu’s eyes and looked away as Hatori quickly got dressed. “Are you okay?” You moved to stand in front of him and he smiled leaning down to knock his forehead against yours.
“Thanks for coming.” You pushed back gently.
“You're welcome.”
Once you had both sent Tohru on her way, Hatori decided to walk you home. “Shigure thinks that she might be the one to break the curse.” Your hands brushed as you walked and you looked at him.
“What do you think?” You asked.
“I don’t know, this is the first time that I’ve met her.” He shrugged.
“Alright, different question.” He nodded for you to continue. “What will you do if the curse is broken?”
“You want the truth? Promise not to leave?” His finger gently tangled with yours.
“Of course I’m not going to leave that is why I asked.”
“I want to hug you and tell you a secret I’ve been keeping since the day that I met you.” You hadn’t even realised that you were at your door until he turned to you and pressed a kiss to your forehead.
“What does that mean?” You asked.
“Get some rest, I’ll see you tomorrow.” He squeezed your hand one last time before walking away.
---
The day that the curse broke you weren’t even with Hatori, you were at home. It was supposed to be the day you dedicated to cleaning the place, it honestly looked like a bomb site. There was a pile of clothes that you had half sorted and some nicknacks that you were trying to decide whether to keep or not. You groaned as you looked between everything trying to decide what needed to go in the trash.
Everything stopped when a frantic knock on your door sounded, you looked over at it before standing up and opening it. Hatori was standing there “Are you okay?” You asked.
“Yes-”
“Good, I need your help.” You dragged him into your house and towards the living room “I need to decide what should go in the trash because I'm use-” You never finished the sentence because Hatori twirled you around to face him before leaning down and pressing a harsh kiss to your lips. You froze for a second before easing up as one of his arms wrapped around your waist and pulled you closer, your body pressed against his, you went rigid for a second before realising that nothing happened. You pulled away and looked at him, he was just smiling. The curse must have been broken. “You said you wanted to hug me and tell me a secret, that’s a weird hug.” He smirked, leaning down and pressing another soft kiss to your lips.
“You wanna hear the secret?” He nudged at your nose with his.
“Mmm.” You hummed arms coming up to wrap around his neck.
“I love you.”
“Since the day you met me?” You teased and he nodded no hint of a joke.
“Since the day I met you.”
“I love you too.”
Hello again. Could I please request a prequel to the story you did for me, “Anything for you”? I would like it to be about when Kallua dies in the forest and Illumi finds him. Illumi only found out about his whereabouts because of his screams but the killer already leaves before he comes. I changed the story a bit and this one always has different outcomes, because I like to play with my dolls. To understand Kallua’s condition better visually for the story; Kallua has a big punctured wound to chest and right hand causing a pool of blood to coat him. He is also covered with injuries all over his body, his eyes are half open with tears, and his mouth hung open. Illumi looses it after processing the situation and comes down to earth when Kallua not purposely revived himself because of his nen. Kallua has snake like nen abilities, and during his final moments battling with the killer, a snake wrapped part of his body around Kallua’s heart and lungs so after he died the snake would revive him. The whole time Kallua wasn’t aware of this.
To Illumi’s surprise, Kallua tries to make Illumi go because he doesn’t want him to get killed despite just coming back. If you’re not comfortable writing something like this i totally get it. Thank you so much as always!!!

How had he not been here? How had he not found him fast enough?
This was Illumi’s worst nightmare, Kallua had been his to protect and now he was lying in a pool of his own blood. Illumi couldn’t see anyone else around and he had no intention of leaving to find them, instead he rushed to Kallua’s side. The largest wound being the one in his chest, there was another puncture in his hand, those were the two that he seemed ot be losing the most blood from, there were other wounds littered over Kallua’s body but those were ones that could be dealt with later.
Illumi quickly tried to work on binding wounds but quickly realised that the blood was not pumping and that was when he finally looked up at his eyes, seeing the last remnants of light in his eyes as tears filled them and they were still half open. If anyone had felt the energy that was coming off of Illumi that would have run for the hills. Illumi ran through all of the different ways that he could inflict the most pain without killing him, the ways that he could build hope only to tear it away and the most important thing was how he could find the person that had done this in the first place.
Illumi didn’t even realise the slow rise in Nen, it wasn’t his, in fact this would have been the only time that someone probably would have been able to catch him by surprise. This Nen however had no intention of attacking him but instead set its efforts to restarting his users heart. It was not something that its master had done intentionally, in fact it would be just as jarring to him when he wakes. The nen took the shape of a snake and had been wrapped around Kallua’s heart and lungs since the battle ended but now with someone that Kallua trusted around, it started the process of revival. Slow, soft beats to circulate blood and intentional squeezing of the lungs to oxygenate the blood.
Kallua gasped shooting to sit up, Illumi moved quickly catching the boy, only then noticing the lingering of his nephew. “Breathe.” He ordered when Kallua moved to claw at the bandaging around his chest. “I’ll fix that later but for now we need to get you out of here.”
“You have to go.” Kallua tried to push himself to his feet.
“No, I will not leave you here alone.”
“You have to, I don’t want you to die.”
“What will kill me? Has anything ever harmed me before?” Illumi cast a glance around them as he looked for a threat he had failed to detect but there was nothing. “Come on, we need to get these wounds seen to.” Illumi wanted to make him talk about the person that had done this to him but this wasn’t the place to do it.
“I…”
“We will get out of here and then we can talk about what happened and how to fix it.” Illumi said as he lifted Kallua with ease, it only took a few more seconds for him to settle, after realising that he didn’t have the strength to fight his uncle.
Illumi would get him healed and then allow him to choose how he dealt with the one that had caused all of this.
If it's all right could I please ask for Illumi But how would he react to kianna giving birth to their third child with the daughter looking like him with kianna who instead of being upset finds it very cute that their daughter fuyuki looks just like Illumi (The only difference is the art shape in the eyelashes)
Request: If it's all right could I please ask for Illumi But how would he react to kianna giving birth to their third child with the daughter looking like him with kianna who instead of being upset finds it very cute that their daughter fuyuki looks just like Illumi (The only difference is the art shape in the eyelashes)
And the rest is up to you
📍 His reaction to the birth itself was the same as all the others, except he trusted that Kianna was strong enough to get through this one the same as she had everyone else.
📍 The difference comes when he realises that his daughter looks more like him then she does Kianna.
📍 He looks over the young girl’s face and realises that everything about her resembles him, her hair, eyes everything looked like him.
📍 Illumi worried that Kianna would be disappointed but the moment that he looked at her face he noticed that there was no change, she looked at her the same way that she looked at their other two children.
📍 “She looks just like you.” “Are you angry?” He still couldn’t stop himself from asking “Why would I be angry, are you angry that our other children take after me?” “No.” “Then why would I be?”
📍 Illumi wasn’t as scared of holding her for the first time though there was always a thought that one of his children would not like him. He figured that if any of his kids would reject him it would be the one that looked like him.
📍 Like every other time he takes the little one from Kianna and much like the others she burrowed close, recognising her father.
📍 Next was letting her meet her siblings, Illumi hovered as the kids crowded around the bed and then took turns holding her.
📍 Illumi had trouble truly accepting that his daughter looked like him, it wasn’t that he didn’t like it more that he worried what it meant for his daughter. Considering the only one in his family that took after his father hated them all by the time it was 11 years old.
📍 Illumi honestly worried that was going to be what happened with his daughter so he tried hard to make sure that didn’t happen.
📍 He made the rest of the family promise that they would treat her the same way no matter what happened before they met her.
📍 He’d protect her from any trouble the same as he did with the others, until she was able to protect herself.

Warning: Manhwa spoliers
You didn’t see it coming. You might have if you hadn’t blindly trusted Jinwoo. You regretted that now that you were standing in the kitchen of your apartment after the Jeju Island Incident. “Excuse me?” You asked.
“I think that we should break up.” Jinwoo answered. You leant forward on the counter that separated you, your head dropped as you tried to figure out what it was that had brought him to this decision.
“I…” It wasn’t you, you hadn’t changed but he had. There was nothing left for you to figure out. “Leave.”
“You don’t have anything else to say? To ask?” You took a deep breath leveling your voice before finally looking at him.
“Is it going to make a difference?” You asked. “Do you think it’ll make me feel better?” Jinwoo looked at you before sighing and turning towards the door. He stopped for a second before opening the door and leaving. When the door closed the tears fell freely as you dropped to your knees, your arms pressed against the doors of the island cabinets “he’s better then you now right, S rank hunter with his own guild, what the hell does he need you for?” You pulled your knees into your chest as you tried to regulate your breathing and stop the crying but in the end the only thing that you succeeded in doing was getting to the couch to cry yourself to sleep.
---
The next morning you woke up with a banging headache and an even worse neck ache. You groaned as you rolled off of the couch and trudged into the bathroom to get ready for work. Being part of the Hunter’s Guild meant that there was always work to be done. You were an A Rank healer after all. Your mum had been friends with Jinwoo’s so when his father disappeared, your mother helped her with Jin-ah and Jinwoo, which was why you both spent so much time together and often why you ended up healing him after his mother got sick. There were always times he’d come back with injuries that the healers at the dungeons couldn’t heal for him so you healed them. You had never once left him behind, you checked on him and his sister all the time even now that his mother was better. “That’ll change now.” You mumbled to yourself as climbed out of the shower. You felt your eyes tearing up again so instead of thinking about it anymore you just got dressed and headed out to work.
The first thing that you were faced with when you walked into the building was Hunter Cha, who had seemingly been waiting for you. “Miss (L/N) can I ask you something?” She seemed nervous, something you didn’t really understand considering she could lay you out in seconds if she tried.
“How many times do I have to tell you to call me (Y/N)?” You sat in the chair next to her welcoming a distraction from your personal problems. “How can I help?”
“You’ve known Hunter Sung for a long time right?” It was like someone had thrown cold water over you, why would she be asking about him now? Logically you knew it was because he saved her and much like everyone else was curious where that power came from.
“(Y/N)?” She looked at you.
“I have.” You finally answered.
“Do you think that if I asked him that he would let me join his guild?” You closed your eyes as you leaned forward, you shouldn’t jump to conclusions but Jinwoo had a reason for leaving, he had said as much when he asked if you were going to ask why. She could be the reason, he saved her, he’s been watching her (something that you never addressed assuming he just saw her as someone to watch). You could tell her no, stop her from going to talk to him entirely but that wouldn’t be fair, it’s not her fault you got dumped.
“The only way you’ll know is if you ask.” You shrugged “but shouldn’t you talk to Hunter Choi before doing all that?”
“(Y/N)!” You looked over to where your name had been called from “Boss wants to talk to you.”
“Be right there!” You called back more than happy to escape this conversation too.
It took no time for you to make it to Hunter Choi’s office knocking before being called in. “(Y/N) please sit.” He invited you to sit on the sofa opposite him.
“Is there something that I can help you with?” You could tell that he was tense almost as if he expected for this conversation to go badly. What could you have possibly done or need to do that has made him so tense?
“I’ll be direct. Do you plan to leave this Guild to join Hunter Sung?” You tensed and then relaxed in seconds as you realised what the concern was.
“You don’t need to worry about that.” You looked down at your clasped hands clenching and unclenching around your knuckles.
“No one would blame you for wanting to work with your partner.” Choi didn’t seem to believe you.
“You really don’t have to worry about that, we are no longer together.” Your worlds came out bunched and fast it was a miracle he even heard them clearly enough to understand them.
“You aren’t? I’m sorry I didn’t mean to pry.” He leaned forward, his hand placed on top of yours. “I’m glad you are not leaving, you would have been missed here.”
“I’m glad that I’d be missed somewhere.” You should have said that in the presence of your boss but you couldn’t stop the words from coming out so before you said anything else you stood and left.
---
You looked down at your phone as it rang, Jin-ah. You thought you’d have more time than this, you had just gotten home. You couldn’t bring yourself to ignore the call, she might need your help. “(Y/N)?”
“Hey kid.” You sat on the sofa kicking your feet up, already feeling like she was a million miles away.
“What happened?” He must have told her.
“I don’t know.” You answered honestly, there was no point in lying or trying to justify something that you still didn’t understand.
“Jinwoo said that you weren’t going to work out, what happened? You guys were together so long.” Tears welled up at her confusion and sadness, you wished that you could explain it to her since it seemed that her brother wasn’t willing to.
“I…” You couldn’t tell her what really happened that was just going to make Jinwoo look bad. Why do you care? Because you still loved him, you can’t turn that off, you don’t even know if you are angry at him.
“Does this mean everything is going to change? We can still watch movies together right?” She asked.
“Of course.” You looked at the wall, thinking of all the new excuses that you were going to have to come up with so you didn’t have to sit in that living room and possibly bump into him all the time.
“I’ll come to you now though.” The determination in her voice made you smile. “That’s okay right?”
“Yeah that’s okay.” You laughed, your heart settling slightly as you realised that not everything had to change, that you weren’t completely alone. “Now get some sleep, you have school in the morning.”
“You promise that you're okay?” She stopped you dead in your tracks as a tear slid down your cheek.
“I promise I will be. Good night Jin-ah.” You hung up the phone after that, letting the phone rest on your chest. “I will be.” You said to yourself again as you got up to make yourself something to eat before bed.
---
Movie night came faster than you thought it would. You had just about finished getting ready when Jin-ah knocked on the door. You opened the door and smiled as she jumped into your arms. “I missed you!” Jin-ah squeezed you tighter “There’s this new movie that I wanted to show you!”
“Oh yeah?” You asked, stepping to the side and allowing her into the house. Jin-ah walked over to the sofa, opening her bag and pulling out some snacks that she seemed to have brought with her as you walked into the kitchen to get two cups.
The movie had gotten about half way through, Jin-ah had laid her head on your lap facing the TV but she rolled on to her back to look at you. “How are you?”
“Same as I’ve always been.” You gently ran your hand over her head.
“You're not lonely?” Jin-ah asked.
“I’ve lived alone for a long time but you’ve come to visit me right now, so I’m not lonely.” You said softly.
“I will always come see you.” Jin-ah’s eyes drooped as she fell asleep, you smiled as you leaned back and grabbed your phone dialing her mum’s name.
“(Y/N) is there something that I can help you with?” She asked.
“No, I just wanted to let you know that Jin-ah has fallen asleep here, she can stay here or I’ll drop her back when she wakes up, I just didn’t want you to worry.” You shifted slightly making sure not to wake her.
“Thank you for looking out for her after everything that happened.” Miss Park said but all you can do is smile.
“I’ll always be here for her, I grew up with you and Jin-ah too, so if you guys need anything just let me know.” You said.
“How are you?” You knew that this question was coming but you still didn’t know if you could lie to her.
“I’m fine.” You settled for something that wasn’t a lie.
“Just fine?” She asked.
“I’ll get better.” You said softly “it’ll just take some time.”
“Well if you need anything then let us know.” Even though you had offered the same thing to her, you knew that you’d never actually ask anything of them; they deserve the time they have as a family.
“Thank you.” You both said your goodbyes before you carefully carried Jin-ah to bed and then went to bed yourself.
---
The next morning you woke up before Jin-ah so you got some clothes ready for her to borrow and then started making breakfast. “Thanks for the clothes.” Jin-ah came into the kitchen taking a seat on the stool behind the island.
“No problem, I was thinking we could have breakfast then I’ll drop you home.” You turned, sliding the plate in front of her.
“Yay!” She cheered her hand flung up in the air before she started eating. “Are you sure that you want to drop me home? You might run into my idiot brother.”
“Don’t call him an idiot.” You shoveled food into your mouth as you cleaned up after yourself.
“He is an idiot.” She argued.
“He’s not an idiot, he just wanted something different. People are allowed to move on.” You shrugged, finally turning to look at her “your brother loves you and you love him so don’t hate him for my sake, I will be okay, he hasn’t killed me. Don’t do that to yourself.”
“But-”
“You don’t love me any less, if you still love your brother. It doesn’t make you my enemy and I won’t be angry with you.” You leaned on the island knocking her nose “eat your food.”
After Jin-ah finished eating you drove her back home, you walked her up to the apartment. “I’ll speak to you later alright.” You hugged her and squeezed tighter.
“I can come over next week right?” Jin-ah asked and you nodded.
“Of course you can.” Before you could turn to walk away the door opened and the once person that you didn’t want to see today stood there.
“What are you doing here?” Jinwoo asked.
“Just dropping your sister home, she was with me last night.” You turned to walk away only to come face to face with Hunter Cha. “I’ll see you later Jin-ah.” You stepped around Hunter Cha before anyone else could say anything.
---
Jinwoo watched you leave with a sigh, he hadn’t meant to see anything this early, he honestly hadn’t meant to sound so harsh when he asked what you were doing there. He was just caught off guard. He took a moment before turning to Jin-ah “did you have a good time?” He asked.
“Great.” Jin-ah attempted to walk past him, he frowned, gently catching her arm.
“Are you mad at me?” His head tilted to the side as Jin-ah pulled her arm away.
“We should talk about this later.” She answered walking into the apartment. Jinwoo turned back Cha scratching the back of his head.
“Sorry about that.” He closed the door behind him as he walked towards her.
“It’s not a problem, is something wrong?” Cha asked as she looked towards the door.
“Nothing that you need to worry about.” They fell in step together as they headed out of the building.
“Are you sure?” Cha asked.
“Yeah.” Jinwoo answered “Come on, we’ve got a whole day ahead of us.”
---
By the end of the week a dungeon break in Jin-ah’s school brought you to the hospital. Miss Park had called you when she had gotten to the hospital Jin-ah had been taken to. “How is she?” You asked.
“She’s okay, not injured, Jinwoo got there in time to save her.” Miss Park answered. “I am calling because I was wondering if you would come down to the hospital. I think Jin-ah would like to see you.”
“Yeah, I’ll come see her.” You said softly “is she awake?”
“Not yet.” She answered.
“I’ll be there soon.”
When you got to the hospital Miss Park met you at the doors and brought you up to her room. By the time that you were up there she was already awake. “Hey, how are you doing?” You sat down next to her.
“I-i’m okay.” She answered.
“I’m not just talking about the physical.” You leaned forward on the bed.
“How do you do that all the time?” She asked.
“I do it so others don’t have to.” You wrapped your hand around hers “This feeling is not something that you should be ashamed of, I don’t think there’s anyone out there that doesn’t feel this when they are faced with monsters like that. It won’t go away but I’ll be here when you need me. Not to mention your mum and your brother will be there too.”
“You promise?” She asked and you squeezed her hand in response.
“Always.” You leant your elbow against the bed, you’d leave when Miss Park came back but for now you just scrolled through stories and made sure that you weren’t called in for anything. You heard someone walking into the room and your eyes widened as Jinwoo stopped just inside. You should have known that this would happen of course he came to see his sister in hospital.
“I didn’t expect you to be here.” Jinwoo looked at his sister. “I heard what you said to her, thank you for saying that to her.”
“I wasn’t just saying it.” You looked at her before standing. “I meant it, it doesn’t matter what happens between us, I’ve been there as much as you have for her and I’m not abandoning her because of what happened between us.”
“I didn’t mean to-”
“I know that you didn’t mean to.” You stood from where you were sitting and walked towards the door “but this doesn’t change the fact that you did it anyway.”
“You don’t want to stay until she wakes up again?” Jinwoo asked.
“I don’t think that she needs to be subjected to us awkwardly tip-toeing around each other.” You attempted to walk past him, truly only wanting to get away from him.
“Wait-”
“Jinwoo I have to go.” You continued past him.
---
“Are you sure that you want to do this? We have another healer that we can ask.” Hunter Choi asked softly. By now there had been reports of Hunter Cha and Jinwoo dating and by extension your break up.
“I’ll be fine.” You answered, continuing to get ready.
“You're sure?” Choi asked one more time.
“I don’t think we have time to be figuring this out.” You pointed to the red gate and shrugged “I think we should head in there and make sure that he’s not dead right?”
“You think he could be dead?” Choi asked, you noticed Cha glancing over from the corner of your eye.
“Knowing Hunter Sung probably not.” You could see the confusion in their eyes you assumed because of the way that you had addressed him but you needed to put some distance between you and him especially if he was dating someone else. “Are we going or what?”
Honestly walking into this place was a mistake, these were the statues that Jinwoo had described when he had come out of the hospital, you were sure of it. All you could do was heal the people that needed it, stay behind the Tank and hope for the best. Choi stayed as close as he could to you. The larger statue had turned to Cha “I will give you the chance to witness this glorious scene, the rest of you will die.” The moment that you walked into this room you weren’t sure that you would make it out but now that you were actually faced with you thought about all of the things that you’d promised and all the people you were letting down.
“According to whom?” Jinwoo’s voice broke through the panic, you saw everyone around you physically relax as Jinwoo took charge of the situation. You took a second to heal the people that needed it. Choi and Cha being the two that needed healing the most.
Once you were all finally out of the gate, you made the rounds but got half way because Hunter Cha pulled your attention to Jinwoo who had collapsed. “What happened?” You asked as you kneeled next to him.
“He said that he felt tired and then collapsed.” Cha answered, your hand hovered over his chest and began healing, your eyes roving over his body as you looked for any wounds but there was nothing visible.
“I think it’s just fatigue, he was fighting long before we got there. Hunter Sung doesn’t have any wounds on his body and my Mana isn’t sensing anything physical throughout but maybe I can help him along a little.” You muttered.
“What do you mean?” Cha asked her hand wrapped around his, you moved your eyes away focusing on healing.
“Fatgue has physical effects that my mana can heal then hopefully when he does wake up it’ll be easier.” You explained, you only got about half way through before your body started telling you that it needed a break. Choi stepped forward to stop you.
“You’ve done enough, like you said he has no physical wounds, the hospitals can give him somewhere to rest. Just like you need to rest.”
“Right.” You nodded, slowly standing Choi led you away from Jinwoo, who was loaded into an ambulance.
“Here.” Choi handed you a tissue “you’ve got some blood.” He pointed at the corner of your mouth, you wiped your mouth noticing blood when you pulled it away. “Will you be able to get home?”
“Yeah.” You answered with a nod.
“Then make sure to get some rest, we won’t need you in tomorrow.” Choi smiled.
“Thank you.”

You had been laying on your sofa with your arm over your face when there was a knock at the door. You took a moment and then kicked yourself up walking to the door to open it. “Jin-ah what are you doing here?” You asked leaning against the door for support.
“I wanted to check on you, I heard that you were at the raid with Jinwoo.” She said as her eyes travelled over your body, catching on the bruises and scraps that you had gotten. You could tell that there was something else going on though, the way that she seemed to be swaying on her feet and looking for the fastest way to get past you into his house.
“Anything else that you wanted?” You raised an eyebrow.
“No…” She answered.
“So what’s the bag in your hand?” You lazily lifted your hand to point at the plastic bag in her hands.
“Peace offering.” She lifted it to you.
“For what?” You tilted your head, she hadn’t done anything that needed apologising for.
“I wanted to make sure that you were okay but I also wanted to stick around for a little while, maybe for the night.” She scratched the back of her head.
“Well you didn’t need a peace offering for that.” You stepped to the side, allowed her into the house and placed the ice cream in the freezer for later, you walked back over to her and handed over your phone “you wanna choose something for dinner?”
“You haven’t eaten?” She asked.
“I was probably going to fall asleep on the couch and then continue to lay there for the next 24hrs.” You admitted with a shrug.
“Oh well then let’s get something to eat.” She nodded.
It was only a few hours later that Jin-ah headed into your spare room to lay down, you were slowly cleaning up after eating when there was again a knock on the door. You frowned looking at the clock, there shouldn’t be anyone knocking on your door at this time, especially since Choi had told you that you weren’t to work for at least the next day. Your eyes widened when you opened the door “What are you doing here?” Jinwoo scratched the back of his head, his eyes trained on the floor.
“I was hoping that I could speak to Jin-ah, mum said that she was staying here.” He answered.
“Oh yeah, she’s in the spare room, you know where it is.” You stepped to the side and walked back to the kitchen to continue cleaning up.
“Thanks.”
15 minutes later he walked back out into the main area, you fully expected him to leave and not acknowledge you further but instead he stopped in front of you “thank you for letting her stay here.”
“I told you already I’ll look after her no matter what.” You said leaning against the counter to keep yourself up.
“Hey, are you okay?” He finally looked at you and frowned “no one healed you?”
“There was no one to heal me, I was the only one that could heal people.” You answered “plus it’s just a couple of bruises and scratches, I wouldn’t have anyone waste mana on that.”
“It’s not a waste, you can barely stand.” He moved over to your hands hovering over your arms as if to support you.
“That’s just because I used all of my mana, a day's rest will fix that.” You waved him off before attempting to move away from him and towards the sofa. “Surely you have somewhere that you need to be.”
“Just… Rest.” He muttered, stepping away from you and heading towards the door. “Look if you need something you can still call me.”
“Yeah sure.” You said as you finally sat down on the couch, it was almost like he was waiting to see you sit down before leaving because after you were safely seated he left. Only a few seconds later Jin-ah was back out of the spare room and burying her face in your chest tears pouring down her face. “W-what happened?”
“I asked him not to go but he’s still going…” Jin-ah curled into herself tighter.
“Where?” You asked.
“The dungeon break in Japan.” She answered.
“Jin-ah I know it’s scary but you should know that he’s not doing it because he doesn’t care about you, he’s actually doing it because he does. If he doesn’t do it I don’t think there’s anyone that can… Unfortunately you’ve got the brother that everyone needs.”
“He’ll be okay right?”
“He’ll come back just fine.”
---
Jinwoo stood atop a building in Japan “maybe I should check in on Jin-ah she was upset before I left.” He mumbled to himself before tapping into Beru’s vision. Jinwoo didn’t expect for her to still be with you. You were both laughing something that brought a smile to his face, as the vision cleared he could see that you were both having a pillow fight that devolved into a laughing fit. “How is she Beru?”
“She's okay, my lord. (Y/N) has helped her forget about her sadness.” Beru answered.
“Good.”
“They seem very good together, your mother was here yesterday, (Y/N) seems like the best candidate for a Queen, does she not my liege?” Jinwoo didn’t answer him, instead thought back to the times that you would play hide and seek. You would always find him first and then Jin-ah after. “I’m sorry I spoke out of place!” Jinwoo came back to himself smiling at you now instructing Jin-ah on what you needed to do to make whatever you were making.
“No, don’t worry about it Beru.” He finally said because honestly he wasn’t sure that he was wrong. “They seem to be safe enough. I'll need you here.”
“As you wish my liege.” Beru answered. Jinwoo watched his army cleaning up the streets of Japan while he tried to get the image of you and Jin-ah out of his head.
Jinwoo stood in your kitchen. It was the first week of you moving in, you had invited him and Jin-ah over for the night. You were in the kitchen with them, he had been put on vegetable cutting while you had Jin-ah stirring. “Those chunks are too big!” Jin-ah complained.
“No they are not, you just don’t want to eat vegetables.” Jinwoo argued, as he cast a glance at her, something he probably shouldn’t have. Jinwoo hissed as he sliced his finger, you seemed to appear out of nowhere cradling his hand as you looked at it.
“Oh nothing I can’t fix.” You said softly, the warmth of the mana knitting his skin back together was something that he would never forget.
Jinwoo shook his head looking back at the carnage below, his fingers gently rubbing together where the cut used to be. Jinwoo started thinking through all of the time that he had been spending with Hae-in but he couldn’t get his mind to leave all of the memories that he had made with you. Even with them being in a relationship he didn’t find himself thinking of the next time that he would see her. More often than not he was thinking of the look on your face when he walked out, how much he missed you healing him and the time that you would spend together. He couldn’t help but notice that the shadows that did know you missed you too.
---
“Mum, I'm home.” Jinwoo closed the door behind him walking into the apartment “where’s Jin-ah?” He already knew where she was because there was only one other place that she would be when she wasn’t home.
“She’s with (Y/N).” She answered as she turned to him. “You just missed them, they left 15 minutes ago.” He also knew that he waited until they left because he wanted to talk to his mum before he talked to you.
“Actually I wanted to ask you something.” His mum turned to him, giving him her full attention. “I think I made a mistake.”
“Are you talking about (Y/N)?” She walked over to the kitchen table and sat down patting the chair next to her.
“How did you know?” He asked as he sat down with her.
“When I woke up, I expected to see her there with you. The day that you came home and said that you weren’t together anymore, I knew what was happening.” His mother took his hands “your life was changing, you were getting stronger and everything was getting more dangerous. There was one thing that you could control.”
“But that doesn’t sound like something I can fix.” Jinwoo pulled his hand away and ran it through his hair.
“Be honest, I’m sure that she’s not ready to let you go either. Talk to her Jinwoo and take the time to prove that you are serious this time.” His mum said. “But what about the other girl?”
“I spoke to Hae-in already, we both agreed that we’re better as friends.” Jinwoo answered with a shrug. “What if she doesn’t want me back?”
“Jinwoo, you were both so close and that doesn’t just go away, it will take time but you can build it back up.” There was a crash at the front door before Jin-ah appeared.
“You're going to speak to her right!?” She leant against the door frame.
“I-is she with you!?” Jinwoo asked, all colour leaving his face at the idea that he would have to do this with everyone there.
“No, she dropped me off, she didn’t come up.” Jin-ah smirked “ but you're going to talk to her tonight and tell her that she doesn’t have to be lonely anymore!”
“Lonely?” Jinwoo turned to her now “what do you mean?”
“Why do you think that I am spending so much time with her?” Jin-ah asked. “She says that she’s not lonely but she got a place closer to us because she wanted to help you, her family isn’t here, we are all that she has.” Jinwoo hadn’t even thought about that, you’d only ever really had them, that made him feel even worse, he needed to talk to you.
“I’ll be back later."
---
You were drying off your hair when there was a knock at your door, you walked over and opened it “Jin-ah’s not here, I dropped her home already.” You assumed that was why Jinwoo was here.
“Oh that’s not why I’m here.” Jinwoo waved you off.
“Oh, is there something I can help you with Hunter Sung?” You asked, tying up your now damp hair.
“Why are you calling me that?” He frowned but you didn’t seem out of place saying it.
“That’s your name.” You leant against the doorframe.
“Can we talk about something?” He asked.
“Sure.” You waited for him to say something but instead he looked around as if trying to figure out how to say whatever it was that he needed to say.
“Do you mind if I come in?” You stepped aside and allowed him into the apartment. “I…” He shoved his hands in his pockets as he paced the living room. You remembered something like this the first time that his mum went into hospital and it was just him and his sister. “I want to apologise for everything and to tell you that I was wrong.”
“Wrong? About what?” You stepped forward to stop his pacing by placing a hand on either shoulder.
“About thinking that it would be better if we were apart, in all the time that we’ve been apart I’ve been missing something, I didn’t realise it was you until…”
“Until?” You prompted. He looked like he was torn between telling you something and slightly lying.
“If I tell you something, do you promise not to freak out?” He asked.
“I reserved the right to freak out if it’s weird.” your folded your arms over your chest and narrowing your eyes, something that made him relax slightly. He remembered that look on your face on more than one occasion especially the ones where he had done something that he shouldn’t and gotten hurt because of it. He chuckled softly before speaking again.
“Do you remember my shadow soldiers?” You nodded “I can assign them to people to alert me if anyone that I care about was in danger. I have one assigned to Jin-ah and sometimes I check in to make sure that everything’s okay and that means watching through my soldiers eyes.”
“You know that’s very you… You could just pick up your phone.” You rolled your eyes “what does this have to do with anything?”
“Oh well I checked in on her while I was in Japan and saw the way that you distracted her. You guys laughing and messing around reminded me of all the times that we would all be here, cooking or messing around and you’d heal me. I realised that what it was that was missing was you. Being able to come back to you and be the Jinwoo before the reawakening.”
“You couldn’t do that with Hunter Cha?”
“She fell in love with that version of me, she didn’t know me before that.” Jinwoo looked at the ground “I talked to mum and I don’t know how to explain it without saying what she said so bare with me. Everything in my life was changing and that change was dangerous, for some reason I thought that pushing you away was safer than keeping you close. That’s no excuse for the pain that I caused, I took everything away from you and you never asked for anything back.”
“Jinwoo, don't blame yourself for choices that I made.”
“Would you have made them if I wasn’t here?”
“I would have been wherever you were.” You answered honestly, Jinwoo reached out wrapping his arms around you pulling you into a tight hug.
“Please give me the chance to make this right.” Jinwoo pleaded.
---
Jinwoo had spent some time away from gates leaving the other Guilds to pick up the work. That meant that you were working more than before, you rolled your shoulders as you walked out of the guild office. “Do you need a ride?” You jumped as you looked where the voice came from. Jinwoo was leant against his car “I also have dinner.”
“What are you doing here Hunter Sung?” You walked over to him and he poked your forehead.
“Stop calling me that.” He moved to the side, opening the door of the car and offering you the seat.
“Would you prefer My Liege?”
“Get in the car and hold this for me.” You could see the smirk on his face but he seemed to be listening to someone else.
“Do your shadows talk to you?” You asked when he sat down in the car.
“Only one of them really. I can kinda feel what the others want to say.” Jinwoo answered.
“Has anyone else met them?” You leaned back in your chair.
“No, they learn a lot about the people that I assign them to. Igris, one of my strongest soldiers, liked you.” You looked at him.
“He was assigned to me?”
“Yeah a few times, all the shadows that met you liked you.” Jinwoo answered as he pulled up to your apartment building.
“Do you want to come up?”
“Are you sure?”
“I wouldn’t ask if I wasn’t sure.” You climbed out of the car and waited, it only took a few seconds for him to follow after you.
You had both just finished eating when you finally decided to broach the subject that you wanted to talk about. “Can I meet them?” Jinwoo looked at you for a second.
“The shadows.”
“You don’t have to say yes.” You leaned back against the sofa arm with your legs tucked close to you.
“They’re a bit much sometimes.” He scratched the back of his head “but you can meet some of them. A lot of them are too big to be summoned here.”
“Okay.” You nodded. The first to appear was at night, he was tall and skinny he was holding a great sword.
“This one was my first shadow, his name is Igris.” Jinwoo leaned forward with his elbows on his knees.
“Oh I recognise him, you usually have him fight with you.” You leaned forward pressing your cheek to your knee as you looked at him “he’s really good.” The shadow turned to you and bowed as if showing gratitude.
“He actually stopped talking to me for a while after we broke up.” Jinwoo looked at the knight who now stood in front of you. “There’s someone else that wants to meet you, he’s the only shadow I have that can talk.”
“Okay, Is there something wrong with that?” You asked.
“He’s intense… He’s been with you a lot because he’s usually assigned to Jin-ah.” Jinwoo prepped you and you smiled.
“It’s okay Jinwoo.” You said softly and a second later there was a humanoid ant knelt next to you.
“My Queen, it's nice to finally meet you.” He said, you smirked slightly.
“Queen?” You asked. “Is there something that you need to tell me Hunter Sung?”
“Stop calling me that! He…” Jinwoo looked away from you blush covering his cheeks as he tried to find the words.
“You would make a good queen. You are kind, gentle and strong.” Beru said. “But wait you are together alone-” Igris reached forward, booping the ant on the head before he could say anymore. Jinwoo took the moment to send them away before looking at you.
“I’m sorry, he’s been watching all of Jin-ah’s K-dramas.” Jinwoo scratched the back of his head.
“I don’t blame him, they’re pretty good.” You nodded, you shrugged “they’re cool, your soldiers, I’m glad that you still have them no matter what.”
“I’m hoping that I will have more than that.”
---
You hadn’t meant to bump into them, you were actually just out for the day but you had literally bumped into Jinwoo as you attempted to walk out of the coffee shop. “Oh didn’t expect you to be here.” You said as you moved out of the way of the door.
“Our guild office is close to here.” The man that was with him said and you smiled.
“I don’t think we’ve met before.” You turned to him “(Y/N) (L/N).”
“Yoo Jin-ho. You can just call me Jin-ho.” He bowed.
“Jin-ho, you're the one that he told me about.” You looked at Jinwoo “How’s working with Hunter Sung?”
“I told you to stop calling me that.” Jinwoo leaned closer to you and you shrugged.
“I’ll stop calling you that when you earn me using your first name again.” You narrowed your eyes. Jin-ho lifted his arms, waving his hands softly with an awkward smile.
“Should I give you guys some privacy?” He asked.
“Oh no, I’ve got to go but it was nice to meet you.” You smiled “thanks for looking out for him.”
Later that evening you were on your way home. It was late but you still needed to get home. What you hadn’t expected was for someone to actually grab you. “C-can I help you?” You asked as you looked at them, they seemed to be searching for something on you.
“You're one of those hunters from the hunter’s guild you have to have something worth selling!” You raised an eyebrow.
“You think that I just carry all the valuable stuff around with me?” You attempted to push the man away.
“Then there has to be someone that will pay to get you back.” His hand pulled back as if you hit you but it didn’t make contact instead a hand shot out from behind you catching the punch before it even got near your face.
“Do you know this guy?” Jinwoo’s voice sounded close to your ear.
“I don’t.” You answered, Jinwoo twisted the man's hand, he cried out, tearing away from the two of you and disappearing. Jinwoo turned you around looking over you.
“Are you okay?” He gently cradled your cheeks.
“I’m fine Jinwoo so you can call off the shadow soldiers.” You tapped his cheek gently.
“I don’t know what you're talking about.” He turned away from you.
“I know you know what I’m talking about, if that man is on the news in the morning you lose first name privileges.” You warned him, he sighed before pulling you towards your apartment building.
“Let’s just go.”
---
Jinwoo had just gotten back from his trip to America and by now most people had heard about it. You hoped that Jin-ho was okay, you’d only met him once but he had been good friends with Jinwoo so you hoped that nothing had happened.
You had thought about going to see Jinwoo and make sure that everything was okay but he deserved the time to be with his family, get settled at home and deal with any publicity that he needed to. He’d find you when he wanted to and honestly you didn’t want to come across as clingy after having only just forgiven him.
You were startled out of thoughts by a knock on the door, you opened the door and were only semi surprised to see Junwoo standing there. Given the time he was the only one likely to knock on your door but you hadn’t expected him to come and see you tonight. “Hey, I didn’t think that I’d see you for a while.” You leant against the door as you looked at him.
“I can go if you're busy.” He took a step back and you lifted your hand.
“No you don’t have to leave, I just wasn’t expecting you.” You pulled your hand back before you could actually touch him and stepped to the side to allow him in. “Are you okay?”
“I’m okay.” He answered but it sounded hollow as if he said it because he didn’t want to worry you not because he was actually okay.
“But you're not, are you?” You attempted to walk past him with every intention to get him a glass of water and talk but instead his arm wrapped around you and he pulled you into his chest burying his face in your neck.
“I’m sorry.” It was almost inaudible. You wrapped your arms around him gently, running your fingers through the hair on the back of his head.
“For what?” You asked.
“Showing up here, I should have waited until tomorrow but you- Nevermind I should go.” He attempted to push himself away from you but you tightened your grip on him.
“But I what?” Your hand still ran gently through his hair as his hands tightened where they rested on your waist.
“You always knew how to make everything feel better.” It was then that you realised the moisture against your shoulder.
“I can’t make everything that you're dealing with go away but we can watch a movie tonight and pretend that neither of us have to go to work tomorrow.” You pulled away from him “come on I have something you can change into.” You walked into the bedroom, crouching to open the bottom drawer of the one that you had placed all of Jinwoo's clothes in, everything that he had left in the apartment. You pulled out a pair of sweats and a shirt.
“You still have these?” He asked.
“Well I wasn’t going to throw them out, I was going to ask Jin-ah to take them back for you but with everything going on it never seemed like the right time.” You handed him the pile of clothes “you know where the bathroom is.” Jinwoo disappeared into the bathroom while you made your way back out to the living room where you set everything up to watch something.
The next morning it took you a little while to remember why there were arms wrapped around your waist or why you were still on your sofa. Jinwoo, he’d come over. That was when you forced your eyes open to find that you had somehow ended up lying on his chest. You rubbed at your eyes trying not to wake him as you reached for your phone that was on the coffee table in front of you. Turning on the screen your eyes widened at the time displayed on the screen 12pm, you gently pushed yourself up but the monet that your weight left his body his eyes popped open. “Where are you going?” He grabbed your arm to stop you from moving too far away.
“It’s 12pm.” You turned your phone to him, he squinted slightly and you immediately moved the screen “sorry.”
“I didn’t think that I would sleep that long.” He pushed himself up to sit but he still hadn’t let go of you so you stepped closer as he moved.
“You haven’t been sleeping?” You tilted your head.
“I’ve had trouble sleeping.” He started playing with your fingers “had a lot to think about.”
“Something happened yesterday.” You sat on the edge of the sofa and he shuffled back to make space for you, his body almost bracketing yours. “You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to, I just… I’ll listen if you need me to.”
“The chairman is dead.” Jinwoo still wasn’t looking at you, his hand had now wrapped completely around yours “I’ve worked closely with him but things are changing, people are getting hurt. I had to make sure that you were okay.” That was the first time that he looked at you.
“Me? What about your sister and your mother?” You asked with a frown.
“My soldiers keep them safe. They don’t follow you.” He sat up now “I didn’t think that it would be fair to have someone watching you when you haven’t accepted me back into your life yet.”
“You think I haven’t accepted you back?” You tucked your knee under you so that you could look at him properly “let me tell you a secret, if I thought that I would ever deny you, I wouldn’t have put you through the grovelling.” His eyes widened.
“”What?” He leaned forward now, closer than he had allowed himself to be and you smiled.
“Jinwoo I never wanted to let you go in the first place, what I was looking for was reassurance so don’t let me down this time.” Jinwoo wasted no time pulling you onto his lap, your legs arranged so you straddled him.
“I don’t deserve you.” He knocked his nose against your jaw as your hands lifted to anchor yourself.
“You deserve more than me, that didn’t change because you made a mistake.” You wanted to sound stronger then you did but your voice came out breathy as he continued to press soft kisses down your throat.
“There’s only one thing I want that I don’t have.” Jinwoo pulled you closer still, anywhere that your bodies could be touching they were.
“What do you want?”
“You.” He pressed his lips against you relearning the feeling of you against him, as your hands tightened in his hair as you tried to match him. His lipid moved down back to pressing kisses to your jaw and neck “Can I have you?” His thumbs gently ran over your waist as he waited for your answer.
“I told you already…” You tried to gather your thoughts as Jinwoo continued to press kisses to your chest. “I never planned on telling you no.”
“I was an idiot to let you go.” His knees pulled up behind you keeping you close. “You will always be the first person that I look for anywhere.”
“And I will be there.”
---
You stood behind Jin-ho in the Ahjin. Two S-Rank hunters standing in front of you Jin-oh was dialling Jinwoo’s number continuously and he wasn’t answering. You leaned down until your mouth was at Jin-oh's ear. “You should relax, they’re here to see him and they know what he can do, you're safe by association.”
“This is very unprofessional.” Jin-oh answered and you smiled.
“This is as professional as Jinwoo is ever going to be.” You glanced at the two men in front of you. The larger one seemed to be watching you “is there something I can help you with?”
“You're a healer?” He asked.
“Why’s that any of your business?” You narrowed your eyes, you would have stepped back if it wouldn’t have been completely obvious.
“I’m sorry, I’m sure that Hunter Sung will be here soon.” Jin-oh attempted to pull their attention away from you but before the larger of the hunter Andre you think you remember reading could speak again the door opened and Jinwoo walked in. His eyes found you first as he had promised you, he walked past the two hunters to stand in front of you.
“Are you okay?” He asked hands cupping your face to focus your eyes on him.
“I’m fine Hunter Sung, you have visitors.” His eyes cast over to the hunters before looking back at you.
“I told you to stop calling me that. What happened?” He asked.
“I just came by to see you, I was in the area and I had nothing else to do but you seem busy I’ll-”
“Wait, you’ll wait. I have time.” Jinwoo pressed a soft kiss to your lips.
“You have a job to do, I’ll be home when you're done. Find me there.” You pressed up on your toes to press a kiss to his cheek before stepping around him to leave. Jinwoo grabbed your arm before you got too far.
“Text me when you get home.” He said and you smiled.
“Of course Jinwoo.” You said softly, he squeezed your hand one last time before finally letting you leave. Finally you had the one person that you loved back and you would do anything to keep what you had safe.
If it's all right could I please ask for Illumi But basically where he asks kianna to marry but killua isn't happy about this because he's afraid his brother is just going to hurt kianna the moment that wedding ring is on her finger However kianna agreed and manages to calm down killua telling him everything will be all right
Request: If it's all right could I please ask for Illumi But basically where he asks kianna to marry but killua isn't happy about this because he's afraid his brother is just going to hurt kianna the moment that wedding ring is on her finger However kianna agreed and manages to calm down killua telling him everything will be all right
And the rest is up to you thank you
The day that Illumi asked Kianna to marry him garnered a lot of different reactions from the family but the one that they both noticed was Killua. Kianna and Killua had always been close so when she realised that he was so unhappy she had to fix it before giving her answer. “I have to talk to him.” Kianna turned to Illumi not caring for the opinion of any of the other members of the family.
“Mmm.” Illumi nodded and honestly if it had been anyone else he probably wouldn’t have cared but Kianna and Killua were two of the most important people in his life. He knows that Killua is never going to forgive him for what he has done but he doesn’t want Kianna to turn him down as well. “I want my answer by the end of the day.”
“I’ll have your answer.” Kianna turned away from him and followed Killua.
It took a little while to find him but eventually Kianna found Killua sitting in a tree a good distance away from the house. Mike was the give away, she was lounging under the tree that he was sitting in. “Hey! Killua, can I come up there!?”
“Whatever.” He didn’t look at her as she landed on the branch next to him. “Are you going to say yes?”
“You don’t think I should?” Kianna asked.
“He’s dangerous.” Killua clenched his as his feet began to swing “he doesn’t love anyone, he never has.”
“Killua-”
“He tried to kill Alluka, his own little sister!” Kianna sighed before wrapping an arm around his shoulder
“Have you ever known me to die that easily?” Killua’s legs stopped swinging as he let a small smile split his lips.
“He’s different.” was what he finally said.
“I know it’s hard to believe but I’ve survived worse, I’m stronger than you think I am. And I promise you that if he ever attempts to hurt me the first thing that I am going to do is hurt him back.” Kianna squeezed his shoulder and shook him slightly.
“He shouldn’t be able to hurt you, I don’t want him to hurt you.” Killua braced himself “you are too important.”
“Killua, if something happens with your brother and me that doesn’t mean that you lose me.” Kianna turned him to look at her. “I will never stop talking to you because it didn’t work out with your brother, I will never stop helping you or being here for you.”
“I-”
“Look if your brother really wanted to hurt me, why would he go through all of this? Why would he even bother asking me? There’s no one that he has to fool, if he wanted to take something from me he could just take it.” Kianna asked, taking hand and squeezing reassuringly. Killua looked at their hands before taking a deep breath.
“Are you sure?” He asked.
They both walked back into the house a few hours later. Illumi was the first to notice and stood to meet them at the door. “You aren’t allowed to hurt her or I’ll kill you myself.” Killua warned before walking away.
“Do you have an answer?” Illumi asked as if his brother hadn’t just threatened his life.
“I do.” Kianna answered. “The answer is yes.”
