Hey Tumblr League community, I'm looking to start streaming, and also to ruin my life. Give this a peek and pass it on if you would be so kind. A few dollars from a lot of people can really add up.
On another losing streak.
Got into Silver 1 and then immediately demoted. Sad stuff.
I need to switch things up.

So I just played with Riot Scruffy
and I didn't get to support, but hey we still won and I didn't completely embarrass myself haha. My Sejuani game is decent I guess. He played my favorite adc and skin too :)
Oh Boy.
I haven't been playing a ton recently, but that's what exams do to you.
I'm finally on break and my whole family's gone to bed and I got on and played a really pleasant ranked match.
I don't know why one of my friends thinks that Miss Fortune is a bad ADC, because seriously, I rarely lose when I have one on my team (and in my lane of course). She seems to be exceptional at dealing obnoxious amounts of damage right when it hurts most, and even more exceptional at capitalizing on Leona's CC.
That aside, my real pleasure in that game wasn't that we played well or that we came back from a rough patch to win. The most enjoyable part was the friendliness that my team exhibited. One guy wanted to mid but was forced to top, and initially did poorly, but with a small amount of effort we were able to keep him chilled out. Honestly, he's probably the reason we won.
If he would have kept freaking out and raging he wouldn't have put the needed pressure on top and we wouldn't have been able to push into their base in the other two lanes.
So cheers to that guy, cheers to an enemy team that was gracious in defeat, and cheers to that friendly Miss Fortune who complimented my sacrifice play (that got her a triple) instead of calling me a feeder.
Man, I'm just really relaxed right now. I hope this feeling stays.
Just So Everyone in the Entire World Knows
"I thought it might be fun" will never be an acceptable excuse for trying a new champion in ranked play. Also, it will certainly not forgive your 5 minute AFK at the start of the game, even if you did get the most kills (and might I add, the most deaths too) on the team. Know your champions, people.
P.S. I know your type, and you probably shouldn't even try telling your next team that you "got reported for BS in your last game."
You get what you put in. If you're abusive to the team the team is sure going to be abusive to you, though they might be more polite about it.

So Close
I was trying to get into Silver 3 before the season ended, you know, just to say I did it. I won my first game in my series, lost the second, and was exceptionally hopeful on my third match. I get into the lobby and another guy calls support. Duoing with his friend. I decide to not get negative and just let him have it and asked for jungle. I haven't jungled a ton recently, but it's probably my second best position. So we get in game and everyone is really nice until things start going south. We got first blood, but every lane ended up losing, and enemy Udyr was ganking better than me. It seemed wherever I showed up he was there to block. It just happens sometimes.
So suddenly, Leona jumps up onto a high horse and starts telling everyone else exactly how terrible they're doing, including me. She wasn't doing well either, but hey. She was really toxic and mean, even though everyone was being positive and apologizing for mistakes. Never posed a single solution, and had a terrible game (compared to my Leona standards).
Now, I don't mind that she took support. Heck, I won my first series game playing top. What I mind is that she did terrible as my main champion, that I let her have, and had the nerve to talk trash to us. It hurts me when this happens because as I said in a previous post, I kindof make it my job when I play support to bring the team together, pose solutions, and be a positive player, even if I'm losing badly.
It's sad to me that I went into the game with such a good attitude, and it was all ruined by one person who decided everyone else was a worse shade of bad than her.
Ladies and gentlemen, I ask sincerely. Please, do not play bot lane with your duo if you're not the best at it or if you haven't practiced it. Better communication helps, but it's not THAT big of an edge. Play duos all you want, but please, always play your best, and don't start spewing hate when it looks like it's about to rain a little bit.
Of the last 4 games I've lost that was the only one that ticked me off. All the other times I had reasonable teams that didn't default to harassment.
Win with honor, lose with honor. Anything less is embarrassing.
Why hello there, Mr. Overly Cocky ADC,
I know you're upset that "no one will peel for you ever" but let me tell you: it's not that easy when you run straight into the enemy team and they have an alistar to keep us away. You just keep blaming us, but in truth, engages are just as much your responsibility as mine. You see, there are many types of engagements, but you only know two.
The first is where you get greedy and try to do that little bit of extra damage, run headlong into their support and jungler, get engaged upon, and I have to jump into the middle to try and save you.
The second is where I plan it out, acquire bush control, force the enemy adc out of creep, and hit her perfectly when she gets greedy, jumping in, stunning her, and making her useless. Now the second one sounds good, except for the second part of the engagement, where you decide to hang back and creep or taunt or just get distracted by something shiny. And I die. And then you, in all you overly cocky, easily distracted manner, have the nerve to say I'm bad.
Excuse me. This is a TEAM GAME. You see, those people that you can't attack (with the exception of your constant verbal attacks) are your TEAMMATES. We play on a TEAM, and I know you don't quite understand this, but we also win as a TEAM. It is not your "op skills" or shining personality that win us the game. It is how well we work together.
You're not good enough to put the team on your back. Accept it. Move on. Play for the team, not for your ego. If you want to boost your ego go deal with the ten-year-olds in Call of Duty. Otherwise, get over yourself and get back to winning. Also, stop playing Ezreal.
Welp. I'm on a losing streak. Not really terrible, but still. This is hard. My body says play another game, but my heart says that if I get paired up with one more adc who calls everyone on the team a noob I might just cry. Man. I guess I'll play another. Wish me luck, gents.
EDIT: I won that game, btw. Great teammates. Gave me hope. There is a god.
Let me just say
As a support, very few things feel better than getting out of a game and having your adc ask you to duo. Let me be clear, I don't friend request people I meet in randoms. When the adc appreciates my skill enough to ask me to duo, that's so gratifying. I spend my whole game trying to keep the team together and doing my best to set up good engages and someone noticed. The thing about playing support is that it's usually a thankless job. To that adc that just friend requested me, I'm sorry, I don't duo with randoms, but seriously, thank you for the offer. It means more than you think.
On Morale
The one thing I cannot stand is a team that is pitted against itself. When everyone is spending more time typing than acting, that's a huge problem. Even one upset person can throw off a teams balance, and therefore their odds of winning.
That said, as the support I usually take it upon myself to keep morale and attitudes up. I don't know what it is, but helping other people get kills and specifically denying them from myself makes me the most selfless, team oriented person. I always make sure to give a "gj" on kills across the map, tell people they did good running away in bad engages, and very rarely say anything negative. I naturally "lol" in chat a lot, and love poking at the enemy team in my allied team chat. I feel that the little things like this really keep spirits up and make for some pretty solid comebacks.
This is one of the places where league has really affected my life. I've come to realize the value of being supportive of those around me, taking advice with grace, and especially admitting when I make mistakes.
It goes farther than I ever would have imagined.
I Feel Like A Rarity
It's not that support mains don't exist, I've met plenty, especially in real life. It's just that I rarely see them when I play ranked. Maybe it's just where I'm at in the ranked scene (S4 currently), but it's a rare, strange, and fun occasion when I run into someone who calls support before me. I'm creating this blog to document my experiences as that rare guy who never fights for position in the pre-game lobby. I'd say I'm pretty good at what I do, and I'd be flattered if you followed me. It's all part of my plan to become famous on the internet. Cheers.
