Currently my Official homestuck sideblog, rosemary of course because good god the brainrot has me in it's grasp. So to note: I've only recently got back into homestuck, I'd stopped reading sometime between act 6-7 back when it was updating. I'll finish my read-through when the rerelease drops which I plan to liveblog. Despite that however I have been made aware of everything that happened after those acts, so yes I'm aware of the retcon which. I dislike. I'm amendable to discussing it though.

And yes. I've heard of the Epilogues/HS2. Please do not talk to me about it. I'm not interested at all. It's tags are blocked as thoroughly as tumblr allows people to block anything, but repetetive attempts to talk to me about it will result in an immediate block. Otherwise usual dni's apply. I'm obviously interested in rosemary, but I do have an interest in troll society, psychology and physiology. (though i am NOT an expert lmao) I'm mainly interested in strilondes and the beta kids, but my interest bounces all over the place (this is a threat.)

Just finished the Homestuck pilot and I gotta say... It's not that bad. Not that great either, my only real gripes with it would be the strife scene between Dad and John, which felt far too serious/brutal. It fit in that it was as absurd as the rest of everything going on with the narration/etc, but it gives off a completely different tone than the comic.

That and I didn't like Rose's VA, she felt too adult. And changing the dialogue so she doesn't say "I know." when John tells her he's wearing a goofy costume. But that's more of a personal gripe.

I did like how much they managed to fit into 11 minutes without both boggling us down and glossing over everything, it felt very succinct but not in a way I'd forget what the fuck is going on.

Also Dave and Jade were spot on, maybe a bit too enthusiastic for Dave, but he felt like SUCH a try-hard.

Overall, for an 11 minute pilot. Pretty good.
