the line “i was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere... fell behind all of my classmates and ended up here” is dedicated to everyone who was declared gifted in elementary school and now has bad grades with a sprinkle of crippling anxiety
This line depicts beautifully how when you're the quiet one who follow all the rules in elementary school teachers appreciate you and tell you're parents how great you are but they don't notice that you're actually far behind your classmates socially and you end up being an adult with social anxiety and it feels like turning around a sphere that doesn't end. Just stuck.
i think the fact that it’s a “sphere” also depicts that, that crippling anxiety never really goes away. no escape whatever direction you try to run. everything you “try” fails.
ykw no. i have come back cuz i realised a diff analysis. i think it means, when you try so hard to stay ahead of the curve, you end up never being satisfied with yourself that you go into an endless spiral of trying to push yourself to be better and feeling like you’re never enough. @taylorswift you are making me think about poetry more than my AP Lit teacher. pls help.
“im not a fan of taylor swift but-,”
bro that’s so embarrassing keep that shit to yourself
me to everyone since july 24, 2020 midnight.

Bold waitress: you look like an american singer
Taylor:
im sure she wished she had that suitcase in that moment.
i have seen various theories...but...somone pls confirm. are august and illicit affairs written from the same perspective?! @taylorswift pls confirm or deny
alright i have a theory about the album cover. buckle up let’s go
so all of her previous album covers have been close ups of her and focused on her, and all the songs on the albums have been stories about her life, hence the focus on the close up of her
this album, she’s further away and it’s not a close up of her, it’s more focused on her surroundings, and she says these songs are stories not necessarily about her life, but about things she has observed around her, hence the focus on her surroundings more than on her
do i wanna know the answer to my own question... @taylorswift pls do NOT answer 🥺🥺🥺🥺
@taylorswift THIS IS DEF A WHITE-WINE-TRANSITION-TO-WHISKEY KINDA ALBUM
@taylorswift i just need to know..is this album a champagne vibe or a wine/whiskey vibe? gotta know which drinks to prep for my midnight listening party
folklore will have 16 songs on the standard edition, but the physical deluxe editions will include a bonus track called “the lakes.” Because this is my 8th studio album, I made 8 deluxe CD editions and 8 deluxe vinyl editions that are available for one week 😄 Each deluxe edition has unique covers, photos, and artwork. Available exclusively at https://store.taylorswift.com
@taylorswift i took friday off because i think i will need a full day to recover from track 5. the title already scares me.
NO SKIPS.
Lover. @taylorswift
i loved everything...but had to skip “soon youll get better” till i was ready about my dad..
This album is very much a celebration of love, in all its complexity, coziness, and chaos. It’s the first album of mine that I’ve ever owned, and I couldn’t be more proud. I’m so excited that Lover is out NOW: taylorswift.lnk.to/Lover
so it goes......... “so it goes” had a few glasses of white wine AND TURNED INTO MISS AMERICANA AND THE HEARTBREAK PRINCE
wait. DOES THIS MEAN WE’RE GETTING LED STAGE FLOORS ON TOUR AGAIN?! @taylorswift I MUST KNOW
i didnt even need to get married to get married. listening to Lover just did it for me. @taylorswift amazing. truly outdone yourself.
the fact that drunk @taylorswift jamming to taylor is sober me on a tuesdya a 7:19am getting ready for work and wondering why my hair dried up in an afro is...........yeah.
the archer x delicate x this love
i love how @taylorswift ‘s “the archer” has the vulnerable lyrical composition of “delicate” and the wholistically simple sonic composition of “this love.” this song invented the idea of beautiful pastel tears.
