"Oi, older me, why aren't we Pirate King yet?" ((Hope this is an ok starter.))
“Eh…. wait, what the hell?! Kishishi!”
Moria cringed, feeling strangely perturbed to find himself face-to-face with what appeared to be a younger version of himself. He was slightly shorter- the warlord hadn’t stopped growing until he was 30- and bore the same unique features that Moria himself had as a younger man.
[Could it be…] he thought, furrowing his brow as he considered the possibilities. “Kishishi! I suppose your mother must have been a big fan of mine! Sorry, kid, but when I become the Pirate King, it’s not a title you’ll be reaping the benefits of no matter your relationship to me. Go try for it yourself, if you really want it!”
Moria regarded the young man with incredulity. "Even if you’re telling the truth, why should I bother telling you anything? Are you planning on returning to your own time so you can try to change history? Kishishi!“
He cackled, flashing his monstrous teeth, and leaned back in his seat. "I don’t know if it’s even possible, but if you’re the same man I was, I already know there’s nothing I can tell you that’ll dampen your ardour. Get lost.”
“That might be an option if I can figure out how I got into the future in the first place, Kishishishi!” He grinned with a laugh of his own. It was sorta odd hearing his own voice and laugh like this. “But no, I was thinking more that what ever is holding you back can’y hold two of us back.” He suggested, maybe they could even conquer the seas in both timelines!
“You got that right, but if I know what’ll happen I can prepare for it and change it. That’s if I get back to my time, While I’m here I figure two of us are better than one.” He stated not being so easily deterred by is future self. This was a rare opportunity, they could benefit a lot from this. At least that was how he saw it, or had his other self just given up?
The older Moria yawned cavernously. For reasons he could not explain, the presence of his youthful alterego(?) was making him feel increasingly weary, and he found himself wishing that the devilish youth would just vanish as inexplicably as he had appeared. [I'm so tired...] he thought, wearily, and struggled to wrack his brain for any possible advantage he could glean from his young self's presence. For all his idle confidence, Moria knew in his heart that their raw strength combined still paled next to their greatest enemy's, and that his double would never understand how great the loss he faced in his own timeline really was until it was too late.
After a minute's silence, he sighed and said, "Until you can find a way to defeat Kaidou, you'll never be able to become the Pirate King. Keshishi.... I've spent years trying to come up with a workable plan for killing him. Even if I never become Pirate King, I won't die until I've taken my revenge on that undying bastard."
