little storytime of how i ended up in the official Mount Othrys by accident:
so i’m greek and my family and i went on vacation in some place near mount othrys in greece. we were in the car and i was listening to music, having absolutely no idea where we were. suddenly the car stopped and, as i took off my earphones, i heard my parents talking about mount othrys and about a wrong turn we took. when i heard the mountain’s name, my weird bookworm self said a little too loud than it should: “Holy shit! We’re at Mount Othrys?” My parents were so confused and for a split second i was scared asf because of...well if you’ve read pjo, you know. After that i was so excited and my parents were genuinely worried because i was excited about a freaking mountain, which is a bit unusual for me. sometimes (like this time) i forget that i live in greece and all these places mentioned in the pjo books are actual places that are a few miles away where i live (like River Styx for example).
listening to All The Young Dudes by Mott the Hoople in the car and driving by a cemetery is NOT cool
i never believed this phrase people say: we usually crave what we can’t have. that was until i read about my favorite fictional character for the first time and fell in love with them.
“Pretty sure I could sleep through my own death right now.”
“Hey, um, can we not make jokes about death right now? ‘Cause, you know, you almost did actually die?”
this is definitely a conversation between annabeth and percy in the last olympian after she took a knife for percy and almost died. prove me wrong.
if anyone asks me to say a fun fact about myself again, i’ll simply show them my username on tumblr. no further explanation needed
