We show up to Raw [the day of the betrayal] and they knew that if they gave us a heads up, we would say no and we would try to find a way to fight out of the breakup. There has never been anything more cunt than Mercedes Moné and Naomi walking into the WWE back office mid-taping, bags packed, to leave their belts on the desk and walk out in protest.

This is just one of the many examples that we know about of them fighting tooth and nail behind the scenes for a legitimate women’s division, not just a blisteringly racist and misogynistic sideshow. Everything that is good about mainstream women’s wrestling today doesn’t exist without them. Never forget it.

Mercedes main eventing the biggest non-WWE PPV of all time and Naomi getting that title on the same weekend is such an iconic full circle moment. They deserve it ALL.
