“Huh.” Finn had never been taught to enjoy showers or baths. It was get in, get clean, get out.
“Doesn’t it stain your skin or something? Seems kind of impractical but also...sorta nice?”

Snow.
He’d heard about it, but he hadn’t seen it much in his life. Being that he grew up on ship, he only ever saw it from the launch bay, but he dared not step into it, not that he was allowed to. The first time he was ever off the ship was to a place drier than anything else, and snow was probably the last thing anyone there had ever seen
But here he was, standing in it, a hand raised to the sky as snowflakes fell into his hand, and melted into its warmth. It was piling up all around him, and snow brought with it cold, but he didn’t mind. A voice broke him from his thoughts, and he turned to see a woman lying on the ground, her arms and legs splayed out all around her body.
Why would anyone want to do that?
“Sorry, I don’t think I can. I don’t...what’s a snow angel?”

“Yeah!! Cause that’s what bombs do.”

“So they’re explosive.”

Perhaps most people would have hesitated a bit upon seeing a gray person with what appeared to be gills walking by, but Finn wasn’t most people. With his background, the girl that walked by was actually more humanoid than most of the things he tended to see, which is why he had no fear in approaching her with a quick wave.
“Hey uh, hello--” He hesitated a moment, wondering if this was a weird question to ask, being that he hadn’t really tried to speak to many people in his time in the city.
“I uh...don’t know much about this place. But I’m starved. There’s gotta be somewhere good to eat here, right?”
