Roleplaying is a hobby, and I while I am usually quick about replying, I will not always right away. Usually it is because I am at work, but not always.

I tend to wake up early for work(M-F), and don’t usually get off until after 4pm est. While I’m at work, I do not have access to reblogging, however asks do work. So there is a good chance I will be answering asks while I’m at work. Feel free to send them in.

I practice reblog karma. If I’m reblogging from you, I will almost always send in a ask (depending on type of meme.)

But yours looks fashionable, and his…"Gary gestures to the air. “That can be your first assignment. See if you can make him look presentable with his long messy purple hair.” Gary smirks and nods.

He hands over the outfit to James, and the rest of the requirements. “You’re better than the other girl. At least you’re kind,” Gary adds. “But no more Rocket. And don’t forget, you get paid every other friday and you do have vacation and time off. Just let us know when. I look forward to you on Team Ketchum.”

James fought the urge to comment on the other girl. He had a feeling that he knew exactly who Gary was talking about. And he was not wrong. He knew her all too well and she did not take criticism well.

He could only imagine how that interview went…

"Thank you so much! I promise to do the best of my abilities for Ash and Team Ketchum!” James chided as he took the outfit Gary handed to him. He tried to contain his excitement as much as he could, but man, this was like an opportunity of a lifetime for him, in a way. He couldn’t believe this was actually happening.

“When would you like for me to start? I’m honestly free anytime you need me. Just say the word and I’m there.”

Gary knew that the other member of Team Rocket was less desirable to be around. Jessie was a fire to be reckoned with, and one that he had no desire to work with. She was loud. and she was bossy. But James, he always seemed kinder, softer. And honestly, while he rather would have none of Team Rocket members, or former members work for him, at least it was the nicer one. And, well, James did have a talent that the others lacked.

"You can start now if you'd like," Gary replies. "On your first task."

Gary raises a brow, curious of the other. He knew of course of Ash’s beef with pokemon groups like Team Rocket, or Team Galatic, or whatever other groups called themselves. He knew of course of Ash’s rivalry. But the concept that one of them were an applicant. He waves the thought off.

“Part of the job requirements would be to keep Ash protected from some of those rivals who wish to harm him. Team Rocket, and the likes.” Gary smirks at James. “Ashy may be dumb, but even he and Gou know who exactly you are. And we’re fine with your prior position, as long as you no longer associate with them.”

James falls silent briefly, eyes wide and blushing slightly at the realization that they were well aware of his past with Team Rocket. “R-really?”

A huge weight was suddenly lifted from his shoulders. Though, at the same time, he felt somewhat embarrassed that he even thought hiding it would have actually worked.

Then again, how many other guys with lavender hair and emerald eyes have tried to steal Ash’s Pikachu?

Yeah… Guess wearing a hat and glasses did absolutely nothing…

“You have my word,” James promised. “My days with Team Rocket are done. I’m ready to move forward and start a new life.”

Extremely Self-indulgent Meme || Accepting

It wasn't every day that someone came to him during a full on panic attack, obviously. The fact that it was Ash of all people was somewhat alarming, to say the least.

James himself was no stranger to panic attacks. Not that he was an expert on coping with them, but he was certainly going to try his best.

"H-hey... It's going to be ok, Ash." He cooed, bringing the younger man inside and closing the door behind them. "No one's going to hurt you. You're safe here." He reassured, gently placing his hands on Ash's shoulders. "Just try to breathe, ok?"

Ash's eyes were wide. Panic was setting in. Pikachu clutched to his human tightly, little claws gripping into Ash. The panic was setting in, the remembering of Mewtwo, the legendaries. His eyes water just a little bit.

"M'not the chosen one," he whispers. "I can't be." His eyes are watering.

Gary raises a brow. He shouldn’t be concerned that someone doesn’t know who Ash is. After all, Ash doesn’t make himself publicly known. Ash is more of a hide type of guy when it comes to fame, and needing security and a personal assistant is more of a newer thing he has to get used to.

“His beloved partner–a Pikachu– would probably love the growlithe. I know our champion might love them, too. He loves my Arcanine, so he might enjoy your growlithe. Our Champion is none other than Ash Ketchum, winner of the world coronation series. He’s a newer champion, so he still is learning the ropes when it comes to this sort of thing.”

Gary nods after his explanation. “Anything else you may want to know?”

“O-oh! Ash Ketchum, of course! I-I was there for his match with Leon!”

That honestly wasn’t a lie. He was indeed there, but in disguise with Jessie and Meowth. Hell, they were actually there to cheer him on!

But regardless, James’ head was immediately filled with thoughts of him being fired on the spot once Ash knew exactly who he was. One of the infamous trio who unsuccessfully tried to steal his Pikachu for many years.

How was he supposed to talk his way out of this one?! Why would Ash hire him after all he had done?!

James felt somewhat doomed, but maybe… Maybe it could all be water under the bridge now?

The lavender haired man looked up at Gary. “No, I um… I don’t think I have any further questions.”

"It's a game they use to teach kids how to catch Pokemon when they're learning how to be trainers! I guess I don't really need it anymore now that I can catch the real things, but it's still pretty fun."

He pulls his phone out, tapping the app to open it and holding it so Ash can see.

Ash looks at the phone, then the game. “They can’t just go there and catch it with a ball? I don’t get it. I never learned that way.”

"I do play a lot of regular video games, but I'm mostly into Pokemon Go."

“What’s that?” Ash asks, curious.

Gary’s already nodding, impressed by his answers. Afterall, while many were applying, this applicant seemed to be the most qualified. He knew technically, he should do some sort of background search, but hey, he was more focused on talent then anything else. And after thinking it over, Gary nods to himself. He thinks the other will be a perfect asset to the team. He was way better then say, the other gaudy applicant who inturrupted every other word.

“Welcome to Team Ketchum then, Mister Morgan.” Gary’s handing over the uniform t-shirt for the other to wear. “You only need to wear the shirt when on duty with the Champion, or when actively working with the champion. As for pokemon, you are welcome to have one walking pokemon while on duty. It does not have to be the same one, but only one pokemon may be out of the ball at a time while working. Battles do not count. And as for pokemon, there are a few that aren’t allowed. The Champion’s partner pokemon, for example, does not like meowths, and raichus aside from a select few. The Champion has a distaste for many prehistoric pokemon, spearrow, and–” Gary squints, reading the list. “Undisclosed legendary pokemon–Ash are you fucking–” Gary mumbles, then corrects himself. “Wobbufett, meowths, and their evolved forms also make the list. Are there any questions you may have about the position, or our champion before you sign the contract.”

Gary raises a brow, awaiting the older man’s answer.

James tried to contain his excitement as he was handed the uniform t-shirt. He couldn’t believe this was really happening, but he still had to keep it together. At least in front of his new bosses.

“Oh? That shouldn’t be a problem then! I just have a Growlithe, Chimecho, Mime Jr., Mareanie, and Inkay.”

Though, the more he thought about, the more he realized that Gary had just named off most of the Pokémon he had worked with in Team Rocket.

Oh dear… If they find out…

Yep, the nervousness is back in full force.

“Questions?” James spoke up. “Um.. May I ask who the champion is that I’ll be working with? If you don’t mind me asking, that is. I just… don’t think I ever caught their name.”
