"You were right, he hurt me just like you said he would."
She didn't move when her father touched her, it was rare that he was this gental with her. Her eyes closed allowing tears to roll down her cheeks as he tilted her head back.
Lucy hated the power the Joker had over her. She hated how every time she tried to venture out on her own she always ended up right back here. Here in this chair crying for one reason or another.
When his hand traced down her neck she pulled away sinking into the chair she was in. "Yes," she whispered ashamed that she had let someone do this to her.
Something burned in his chest when he saw the bruises on his daughter that quickly turned to boilingbrage when she pulled away from him. In a quick motion he pulled her back to him wrapping his arms around her.
This side of the Joker was reserved at first only for Harley, but when Lucy came into the picture things changed.
After a long moment he pulled back so that his hands were on her shoulders and his forehead was pressed to hers. "You let daddy take care of this Princess" he moved and pressed his lips to her forehead, "I'll bring you his heart in a box."
There weren't many things the Clown did that brought comfort to Lucy but when he held her she clinged to him like a child.
As he pulled away she looked up into pale eyes as he spoke. She nodded as he spoke and her lips turned up a bit in a small smile.
"No, bring him to me," she said "I want him to look me in the eyes as you cut it out."
The Joker pulled back and blinked at his little girl. She was vicious....and it made his heart swell. She was a chip off the old block. "Of course, you know I'll do anything for you princess."
He moved back behind his desk, "give me an hour and I'll be back. In the meantime how about you go buy yourself something pretty." He dug out his purple wallet and handed it over. "Meet down at the docks when you are done."
