This is your reminder that larvitar eat earthen materials like soil, sand, and CLAY. Even if registered as a support pokemon, PLEASE keep a close eye on them during the CERAMICS unit. This goes for other pokemon with similar diets.

If your pokemon is hungry, let us know. We do have scrapped clay that is safe for them to eat. (See also the extra credit assignment offered in Mr. Saguaro's class involving food production for pokemon that eat/absorb nutrients from minerals!)

Temper your chocolate, and make it snappy.

Rye: You WILL wait for that chocolate to temper on it's OWN terms.

Unbeknownst to the bread specialist here, one may find that chocolate does not, in any reasonable timeframe, temper itself. The method of doing so is very simple: put a bit of finished, solid chocolate into the unfinished, melted chocolate. This will help seed the crystal structures. Do allow the chocolate to melt at least almost completely. Using residual heat, stir the chocolate in to mix the new with the old. To finish, pour into your moulds or whatever have you. Let cool. Your chocolate will be more resistant to melting in your hand, will break more snappily than bendily, and will be more resistant to fat bloom and sugar bloom. An overall more appetizing food product, even in the long-term.
