I thought I'd make an account in this odd place, mostly just to make mail deliveries easier. If you have a letter, card, or package to send to those immortal space pirates over there, I can pass it along!
This is a mechanisms ask blog, following the canon of the other ask blogs on here. No immortal mailman actually exists in the Mechanisms universe, as far as I'm aware, so. . . have fun!

Oh, of course! Apologies for the delay, there's been. . . bit of time paradoxes to clean up. The universes intermingling like they are tends to make them crop up. Rest assured, the universe isn't exploding. Yet.

Trapped in a nightmare. Not the first time I've had to deal with that, I think. Memory and time and space all get a bit wibbly when it comes to dream logic, but nightmare logic's a little more straightforward.
I just like collecting stamps. The toll's a little less clearcut, though. Some nightmares, you have to give something up to get inside, to deliver things. I don't want to lose my boots again if I have to, if you know what I mean. I like these ones.
Oh- I- if you have to pay a toll, I can take the price, if you’d like? And- I’ll see if I can find a stamp somewhere. Thank you so much.

Had to haul a package across three different star systems only to figure out it was someone trying to avoid having to pay travel expenses. Ma'am, I am not a travel line. I deliver mail. There is no compensation for having to "travel" next to a haunted doll.

Oh, are you trying to imply that I peek into my packages? How strange of you. I definitely don't peek into my mail. Or my packages. Or anything of the sort. I just check with people to make sure I'm not transporting live objects, you know?

Ah, didn’t mean to infringe on your job. Just got a stack of letters assigned to people. Usually it’s in my job to fix, find, help and adjust timelines. Assumed it was one of those times.
Also if I broke or messed up a timeline I’d never hear the end of it from Triti or Amaia. Or my boss for that matter.
So that does sound good to me. Fine deal with me.
Course, of course! We can't help what we're assigned to do, can we? Glad to know someone here's looking into the timeline issues, though. Paradoxes always mess up my nice boots.
That's the problem with delivering mail with people who live more than one direction in time and all that. Learned that one the hard way.
So, deal's a deal! And hope you enjoyed the letters! Usually, the packages are the worse end of things. Never know what can be in a package. . .

Paradoxes are a finicky business, makes my head hurt if I have to deal with them so I can understand that.
My job usually involves me trying to keep a timeline neat and tidy to avoid a paradox, getting handed one already made needing to be fixed is a migraine waiting to happen.
Normally don’t deliver packages or letters though. Wonder what you’ve seen on your adventures and travels?
In any case, before you leave, would you like a snack?
Oh, I've seen plenty. Fraid I probably shouldn't tell you about most of it. Want people to keep respecting the integrity of the mail system and all that. But if people don't properly seal their mail, and it just so happens to fall open, that's on them.
But I've been. . . . just a bit of everywhere, I suppose! Stars and planets and distant pasts and unknown futures. Best advice I have, carry dog biscuits. You never know when you'll encounter one.

Can understand that, seeing plenty. That and seeing things….. well I feel I shouldn’t say either. Don’t want people getting the wrong idea of what my company does either.
Been around my fair share of stars and systems alike. Also dog biscuits, I’ll have to keep that one in mind. I normally just have some sweets on me.

Hello, was wondering if you and your crew would be wanting a care package from my crew and I? We’ve been sending materials, like food and weapons, to some of the other versions of myself in here, and I figured I’d extend the offer to you as well. Finally found a way to reliably deliver things across dimensions, even if I don’t particularly… trust the mailman.

Oh, I don’t know, maybe because you delivered me a package from Yggdrasil, which has been dead for centuries? And even if the necklace was somehow, against all odds, spared, you should not have been able to find it in the first place.
You’ve been cordial so far, yes, but your obviously something connected to the outer gods. Forgive me if that puts me on edge.
I mean, I wouldn't call that obvious. Or accurate. If any one of the outer gods knows my name or could recognize me without my hat on, they're lying. But fair's fair, that package was a little bit unexpected, wasn't it?
Packages sometimes surprise me, too. Most of the time, actually. But you know what they say: don't shoot the messenger. In this case, the messenger's fine getting shot at, but the messenger's coat would need a good dry clean, and besides, the dry cleaning bills these days are astronomical. How about instead "don't ask the messenger to pay for damages"? Or "stop trying to challenge the messenger to riddles three"? That'd be nice.

Look, the origins of the suspicious eldritch mailman isn’t the point of this. They’ve been reliable for transporting supplies so far, even if I don’t trust them. We’ve managed to send two supply packages with his services so far, and if you’re interested, my partner and I could start getting together one to send your way, as well.
