Looks like you've got another package! This one's a metal box, with a few carvings on the outside. I'm still not sure whether they're trying to tell a story, or if they're just telling the viewer not to open the thing. They look hand-carved, though. And--
Nah, you'll probably notice that one without me pointing that out. It's kind of obvious, isn't it? And you've probably already noticed the smell, too.
Ivy moves to her desk, grabbing a pair of leather gloves before opening the box, being careful not touch her skin to the box, just in case.
Inside of the box is a book, one that is very obviously a Leitner or similarly cursed book. The cover seems to be made of leather, there is some part of Ivy that Knows the leather was made using human skin.
A book for her collection, one of the Flesh and one that seems different to the rest in her collection. While most of the books she has encountered have their way of feeling dangerous this one feels neutral in a horrifying way.
Ivy turns the pages, unsure as to what she's looking for until she finds it. She stops on a page that should be so wonderfully normal, or as normal as this book goes. Her mouth moves before she can think and she's reading the small passage written on the page.
"There are gunshots around him, bodies falling every which way and in a horrid moment he meets eyes with an enemy who has their gun trained on his lover's blind spot. Within a moment he is stood in the way of the bullet and he falls to the ground, his life given to save that of the man he loves, an apology falling from his lips.
In a blink a man stood before her, a man Ivy had not seen since his death almost three years prior.
