The Year in Collecting 2016

Awhile back I posted all the game I finished this past year. I thought it would be fun to keep track of how much I finish and it was. I also decided to do the same with collecting, which came out to a little more, so I had to take time to organize the picture. 

Despite recent gripes I have, I’m very thankful that for the past year I’ve managed to keep and move up the ranks a little bit in my current job. It pays the bills and has allowed me to save up a little and also have a little expendable money each month to treat myself by investing in my favorite hobby, video games.

Now that I’ve finished school I’m on the hunt for a more career based job but I’m also working to stay positive because I do have work, something not everyone does have, and as I very well know, there are worse jobs to have and people to work for. It doesn’t excuse some of the current issues I’m having but I’m taking it day by day,

Anyways, loads of games this year, including my most sought after game for the past 10-15 years. The Misadventures of Tron Bonne on PS1. 

I also had a few other themes/goals I went with this year, and having specific collecting goals really helps so I’m not just gathering fluff. Some of those were to finish the Silent Hill series, import all of the older DDR games on PS1 and PS2 (I fucking love DDR) and stock up on fighters and PS3 games since PS3 is on its last leg and games for it are dirt cheap.

I love game collecting and love sharing my hobby! 

Missing in action because I’m a potato; my arcade stick that was a birthday gift (too big to fit right), Virtua Fighter Kids on the Saturn, and my PS4 box. I finally caved and got one because games I want are out and will be coming out this year. 

My collecting goals for this year are a little more reserved; cleaning up N64 games I want, I don’t want a whole set because that’s not how I collect but theres a handful of games I’d like to add to round out what I have, and aside from that just keep up with new releases I’m interested in) 

Because of my job hunt, I’m trying to be more conservative with my funds but still make room to spoil myself.
