So Milo Kim in the Sister Claire comments recently pointed out to me that while Oscar and Cat kept their children largely ignorant of their circumstances and the dangers they would face, which is biting them in they ass, Oscar and Cat also taught their children many values like Self Love, Self Care, and Moral Decency that may prove just as vital to navigating the complex politics they find themselves entrenched in.
The tension between these two ideas is the most fascinating part of the comic to me now.
Right now Rosie is at a low point in her life. She hates her magic more than ever before. She feels lost in the dark. Along comes Mother Abraham, a genocidal warmonger, but one with all the answers and a dogma of magic suppression/denial. Rosie is at her most vulnerable to this sort of rhetoric, but will she allow herself to become truly compromised in pursuit of the answers she seeks? Or does she even in her deepest, darkest pit know where that line is that she must never cross?
I absolutely love this take. While I don’t think Rosie would ever fully trust Abraham, you’re right that she has every right to hate where her magic has gotten her, and would be more susceptible to Abraham for that reason and for the fact that she literally knows nothing and Abraham knows everything

we were talking headcanons for characters’ favorite songs in the Sister Claire discord and I decided that Clementine is 100% a Rob Zombie fan
Tomorrow is Bright Night. Tonight, Mother Abraham will be visited by four spirits: the first will be the Shard of Zora. Zora will beg Abby to stop killing people, and warn that she will receive visits from three more shards tonight.
Next will be the Shard of Bright Night Missing Moments. They will remind Abraham of how she didn’t always kill people, and she used to be a decent person.
Then the Shard of Bright Night Comic will visit Abby. They will show Abe all the people who are suffering now due to Abraham’s actions. They will also show her how Claire and the others manage to be happy in spite of their misfortune.
Finally Abraham will meet the Shard of Bright Night Future. They will show her what her fate after death will be like if she does not change her ways.
Will Abraham awaken tomorrow as a new and better person? Probably not, the story is far from over.
