Hii! I'm Bowen or Rhydian!

My pronouns are he/it and I'm an 18 years old trans(wolf)man.

I'm a eurasian wolf therian, german shepherd therian, grizzly bear therian, Wolfbloodkin, and Rhydian Morris fictionkin.

I'm autistic and my special interests are Wolfblood, Amphibia, and Pansy Division. Other interests in no particular order are X-Files, Yellowjackets, Agatha All Along, Wynonna Earp, Interview With The Vampire, The Pitt, Hacke, Jurassic Park, Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory, Spiderverse, Muppets and Fraggle Rock, Descendants, Smiling Friends, Bugbo, Reneé Rapp, June Henry, and punk music. I also have a really weird obsession with Mott's Fruit Snacks and croutons, and I honestly don't know how to categorize that.

Recently came back to Catholicism, probably won't post about it but let it be known in case I do.

I forget about tumblr like all the time so I will probably disappear again, but I just wanted to say I turned 18 a couple weeks ago and administered my first T shot today :-) been 5 years of waiting and I've finally been able to transition. I'm so hype rn LMAO

i adoreee the show wolfblood. honestly calling myself a wolfblood or werewolfblood etc feels a lot better than kin/therian or what have you. it's very affirming to phrase it in a way that references the fact that my alterhumanity is by nature who i am, it flows through my veins. it is the essence of my being, it is not something i have per se; it's not something that you can take away from me and be left with the same being. to take away my alterhumanity is to take away the essence of my being. it is the foundation of how i view the world, it affects my social life, my decision making process, my habits, my strengths, my flaws, among so many other facets of my life.

it's probably been said before, but this is how i personally see it :D i'd love to know if anycritter feels the same way <33

Also would like to point out that not even a full minute after monologuing about how much she "hates" her, Hannah offers to let Selina borrow some of her clothes immediately after finding out she doesn't have anything to change into. Yeah girl, definitely sounds like you hate her

They have so much chemistry but nobody talks about them I felt like I was going insane

Hannah just has a huge crush but is unable to show her affection outside of competition. She might even be confusing said crush with a want to best Selina

Also her beef with all her friends, but especially TJ, seems like too much of a coincidence. I think she's jealous they get to spend time with her/have her affection

I most definitely not the biggest fan of the later seasons but there are definitely some noticeable queer undertones scattered throughout, not sure if they were intentional or not but I think they're super cute either way :3

I definitely think the queer undertones were on purpose! The creator, Debbie Moon, is a lesbian and wrote a lot of the story based on how she felt as a lesbian teenager in a small town. Katrina and Robyn existing and Moon wanting to make Jana bisexual makes me believe that Selina and Hannah's relationship was also on purpose. And even if it wasn't, she definitely would've seen how it was more than rivals and chose not to change anything haha

That does make a ton of sense tho now that I think about it, I always felt like the wolfbloods being outed and subsequently discriminated against seemed a little too much like allegory for queer people to just be a coincidence. At one point Hannah literally refers to wolfbloods being exposed as them "coming out of the closet". Super cool that they were trying to talk about that stuff in a kids show from 2017

Yeah! Katrina and Robin actually had lines that made their relationship more explicitly romantic that were cut for time, and allegedly a cut kiss :-/ I'm glad we got to see enough of their relationship that made it obvious enough to the viewer, but I would've killed for that representation when I was younger haha

Plus the whole keeping their "identity" a secret and the lengths they'll go to "prove they're normal" seems a little on the nose haha

I was JUST thinking about Hannah's "coming out the closet" line. Technically it's a phrase that isn't exclusively tied to coming out as gay, but with the context of the creator I think that was intentional
