Too often, people integrate misconceptions about ballet and ballet dancers into the way they play their characters; these misconceptions usually arise from media portrayals of the ballet world, popularized depictions of dancers, and just plain-old rumors and myths about what goes on in the life and career of a ballet dancer. So, in hopes of helping people understand how to correctly portray a ballet dancer and avoid all of those false misconceptions, I’ve written up a brief character guide.
