okay so we all know the Soulmate AU where you see everything in perfect colour but when your soulmate dies, your world gets turned into black and white

now imagine this with Hux/Ben Solo

little Hux seeing everything in such vivid colours and his mother telling him that it means he has a soulmate somewhere in the universe who’s waiting for him

despite his father calling it ‘nonsense’, Hux is happy that his soulmate is seeing things in the amazing colour that he is

but Hux starts to notice that things are very slowly turning darker, greyer, the colour is being sucked out of everything…the sky isn’t as bright, the trees aren’t as green.

His mother tells him that it’s alright and that she is sure his soulmate is fine but Hux knows that his soulmate is slowly dying

so as Ben falls further to the Dark Side and comes closer to becoming Kylo Ren, Hux’s colourful world loses its colour until, one day when he’s in his late teens, he stands and watches as the last of the blue fades from the sky

with his world now black and white, Hux himself grows colder, jealous of those who still have their soulmate and see in colour

he meets Kylo Ren when he’s assigned to Hux’s Finalizer and Hux thinks nothing of it

Hux is in his quarters one evening when he looks up from his datapad and sees a red mug next to him and he stares at it before he rushes to the mirror and sees his green eyes and red hair

he hears Ren yelling in agony down the corridor, slashing the walls with his lighhtsaber and when he’s calmed down, Hux’s world is abruptly plunged back into black and white

so everytime Kylo feels the call to the light, Hux sees colour

When someone identifies with their favorite character it can say a lot about them. Whenever someone says “they are so me” believe them. Sometimes liking a favorite character they identify with is the closest thing to catch a glimpse of who they really are. Never tell anyone that they are talking about a fictional character too much, because deep down it could be the only thing thats been helping them battle their deepest insecurities. Even fictional characters can make a difference, regardless wither or not they are real.

Your eyes began to move behind your closed eyelids. You could hear the faint sound of beeping in the background, it was quiet, almost not even there at all. You can feel light hitting your face, but somehow you know it’s artificial. You try to move to lie on your side, that’s when it hits you. The pain. The car accident. Dean.

You opened your eyes slowly to find yourself in a bright room, the walls were painted a horrible colour blue that makes you sick to your stomach just by looking at them. The faint beeping from before was growing louder and louder the more aware you became. You looked over to the figure with it’s head resting on your hospital bed, then you realize it’s Sam.

You move your hand to wake him up, your fingers carefully making their way into his shaggy brown hair. He jerks up almost instantly, wiping the sleep from his face. You can see a couple of cuts and bruises on his face and his arm. God knows what condition Dean’s in.

The whole “I’m not like other girls” movement should really be called the “I don’t want men to treat me the way they treat other women” movement because that’s what it really is. Women know that a girl who wears makeup is as respectable as a girl who wears none. A girl who’s played every Final Fantasy game is as respectable as a girl who digs Candy Crush. A woman who started her own law firm is as respectable as a single mom who works in the service industry. A girl who enjoys casual sex is as respectable as a girl who has never had her first kiss. A lesbian who has no interest in men is as respectable as a straight girl who loves her boyfriend. A girl who reads People magazine is as respectable as a girl who reads Dostoyevsky.

Women have been extensively shamed for saying “I’m not like other girls” when what they are really saying, maybe without knowing it, is “I’ve heard the way men talk about specific types of women, typically women who do things that they don’t understand or relate to, and I really, really want them to separate me from that and see me as a person who is worthy of being respected.” How much respect a woman gets from men is very rarely indicative of how much she deserves.
