Hot take, but I don’t like the idea of fans of the same ship arguing over who tops and who bottoms. Like, of course people can have preferences, but taking it to the point of arguing or blocking people who prefer the couple switching or see them as versatile? Idk, it just seems strange to me honestly.

There’s a friend of mine who wrote on their Carrd or whatever, “dni: SasuNaru, DeiSaso” (those aren’t actually the ships, just examples), while they ship NaruSasu and SasoDei. It’s really weird to me honestly, and I kind of think it’s lowkey fetishizing the couple and reducing them to bottom/top stereotypes. Personally, I like ships because of their emotional baggage, relationship dynamics, and character development, not because of their sexual positions.

I’ve also seen the SasuNaru/NaruSasu discourse in the Naruto fandom and it has always been crazy to me, we all ship the same couple and people need to calm down 😭
