Happy Hoe-lloween beloved
First of all, thank you, I needed my crack today, second of all, have an AU I'll probably end up posting after Halloween ended:
I'm dating my dead girlfriend
I love my girlfriend, more than anything in this world. More than myself. Maybe more than others. She died by my hands. I got careless in a rainy night and lost control of the car. I survived, but... She didn't had the same luck.
I still hear it, the metal scraping the wet road, the bumps we hit that were bending the car and finally... The time we were upside down. I felt some tight pain in my stomach, my head was dizzy, blood dripping from a cut on my cheek. I coughed blood, but my lip during the accident. Breathing was hard and it was even harder to actually focus my vision.
I finally got the courage to look down and see the pain in my stomach was just the pressure from the seatbelt. I couldn't help, but cry in relief. "Thank God, I'm not dead," I thought to myself. I then looked to the side and called for you, but... You weren't as lucky.
You were static. Glass shards all over your face, a thick stick impaled between your ribcage, blood dripped from your mouth thickly. Your eyes lifeless as you looked my way.
"H... E... Lp..." You blinked, crying blood, for the shards had hit your eyes and you were blinded.
For some reason... I couldn't speak. Couldn't hear but a sharp buzz in my ear. I guess I... I was in shock. I don't know how long I spent looking at you, but, it seemed enough so that help came out way.
I got taken to the hospital, spent about two days or so there. When I asked of you... They told me you didn't survive. I knew that's what they were gonna say. I knew that and still... I couldn't believe it. I couldn't bear it. I just... Couldn't. Spent another two hours in observation before actually leaving the hospital.
I got home to see... Us. You. Me. You and me. The two of us... Happy... Smiling... I love you. More than anything... I didn't thought twice before doing what I did. I thought it wouldn't work, but... At the night of your funeral... There you were. At my window. Looking stunning in the wedding dress you refused to show me... You were smiling at me. I couldn't believe it... But I wanted to... I didn't hesitate in hugging you.
I spent nights and nights, just hugging you, loving you. You gave me a lot more freedom when it came to sex. You let me do the stuff I always dreamed of doing... Though... Felt weird... Knowing you were dead... But... You felt alive. You were alive. Right...?
It didn't took long before you started acting strange. You were so sure you were pregnant, so, so sure... But... There's no way, right? I mean, she's dead. How is she supposed to have a baby growing inside her? That's when you asked me if... If we should go to a doctor and my blood ran cold. "There's no way I could take her out like that. She's dead!" That's the first thing I thought about...
I couldn't let you out... Couldn't let people know you were back. But I know you were hungry... So I fed you. Tried feeding you your favorite meal and you almost puked with just the smell... I tried everything I knew how to cook and it wasn't satisfying for you. So, I let you see what was in my fridge... You took a raw chicken and... Just started eating it, no need of utensils or anything. And you delighted yourself. You seemed satisfied.
And that became our routine. I came home. We spent some time together. I give you raw food and you were ready for another day.
But one day... Raw meet wasn't enough. You wanted it to be... More raw. I... I was at a lost. What was I supposed to do?
"... Remember that squirrel? The one from the park. Something like that... I'm craving it."
What was I supposed to say? No? When she was pregnant with my baby? No, I couldn't deny her cravings... I had to improvise. It started small, with some fish from the local park... It seemed enough for a while. But, you got sick of it and asked for something different. I managed to get a pigeon somehow... And you ate it. Feathers and all... And you delighted yourself. Then... You asked for something bigger... Oh God...
I managed to attract a possum. You didn't like it. You wanted something meatier. I managed to attract a raccoon... You didn't mind it. But then... You wanted a dog. I hesitated. For days. And you were starting to deteriorate. Your body was giving up. That's when I knew I had to do it. I went to a local shelter... Got the oldest dog I could find... And I gave it to you.
I couldn't sleep that night. I could still hear. The munching and crunching of your mouth as the dog whined and tried to beg for help or try to run away... But... I did nothing. I did... Nothing...
But... You were happy, weren't you? You seemed happy for a while... Until your hunger was big again. I... I had nothing to offer. What was I supposed to do? Kill someone?
... I... Hesitated. I know what it meant. I know what she would do. I know... What had to be done. But... I couldn't. Not to you. If I was to die... Be it with no regrets. I took whatever I could to numb any pain I might feel. Drugs, alcohol, anything. I just didn't want to feel pain. But I could see you. Hear you. Slurping my blood. Ripping my meat apart. Munching on my organs. Spitting my bones out. I don't even know when I died, but... I did.
I can see you. Eating my corpse. Eating what's left of me. Is my rotting flesh any good? Does my raw fiber suffice you? I... Hope so. You like it, right? Yes, that's it... Eat me... Until I'm just bones.
