Hi Adam, my name is Dan and I had a question about the katalox you milled in a post from May 23rd of 2015. I was wondering how difficult it was to CNC machine this material and what types of end mills, torque, RPM, and speeds/feeds you're setting up to get such wonderful results.

Hi Dan, I use primarily 1/2" 2 flute end mills in a Bosch 1617 router, speed about halfway up the dial and 12ipm on those katalox covers. I plunge no more than 1/2" and I usually take a .005" full-depth finish pass to get rid of tool marks on the end grain.
