[Voicemail] [shuffles and soft answering] Uh, I saved a kid a few days ago and she's been stayin' over. [clicking of cups] The flea tried to take my damn phone last time so I chucked a pillow at him, also. [a sigh] Sorry for before. Miss ya. [click.]
It’s funny. The little messages were becoming 10 second movie-clips of what was going on in his brother’s life. Yet, in a silent home, with the grand imagination the actor possessed, it wasn’t hard to almost imagine with exactitude how every action unfolded.
Kasuka remained silent, one hand rubbing Dokusonmaru’s ear as the small kitten on his lap attempted to paw his hand.
“You’re so odd, Nii-san.” He murmured. It might have been accompanied by a faint laugh if the younger Heiwajima could express himself better.
The stage is set for @killingbabe ‘s performance:
Ruri Hijiribe is a good idol. One can see the extent of this from her performances. Emotion pours out from her voice and into the crowd, which in turn takes it all in and reciprocates with chants and screams that make the very atmosphere vibrate. Kasuka himself can feel this on his skin, but he can’t be sure whether it’s the energy or the sound itself which is causing this resonance to blare all around the concert hall. He’d assume both, for lack of better judgment.
Despite his attention being primarily on Hijiribe, the actor has felt a few gazes thrown his direction backstage. He supposes a few people are grabbing the scoop, “Hanejima Yuhei ditches scheduled interview to go watch girlfriend’s performance LIVE.” Of course, that interview had been postponed by the channel itself, but tabloids needed to live off of something. If anything, it would play well with the facade they had pulled, their so called relationship.
Auburn gaze remained on the idol. He isn’t mesmerized. He has no capability to be so. Still, his attention is held on her, on the movement of her hands, on her quick spins, on twirls that go with a tempo and add to a specific sentiment embedded in the music, and in her singing. Despite the facade they have been playing in front of everyone else, Kasuka can honestly admit to admiring those emotions she poured out to her fans.
Ruri with #15 if you're still taking requests. BTW, I love your art!
thank you;;
Durarara!! Relay: Ruri & the Orihara Twins
Mairu: Ahhh! It’s Ruri Hijiribe! Are you the real one? You are the real one, right!? Ruri: That’s right. I’m Ruri Hijiribe. Mairu: Whoaa, she’s so cute! I hate to admit it, but I may have to…… Not only that, but she gets to work in the same film as Yuuhei-san……It’s unfair! It’s too unfair! Ruri: U-um, even if you say that…… Mairu: And in the film you get to hold hands with Yuuhei-san, hug him, and kiss him. I’m so jealous! Ruri: Um, maybe you should calm down a bit? Mairu: Ha! I just had an amazing idea! If I kiss Ruri Hijiribe, maybe I could indirectly kiss Yuuhei-san!? Ruri: Um, I’m not sure about that…… Mairu: Of course it would! So I’ll have a taste of those lips of yours! Ruri: ! Mairu: Ah, wait! Don’t run away! Wait!
Kururi: Question (Um, you’re Ruri Hijiribe-san, right)……? Ruri: Yes, I am. Kururi: Watched (I saw your film)…… Ruri: Thank you very much. Kururi: Good (Yuuhei-san was so good). Ruri: You must be a fan of Yuuhei-san. Kururi: Affirmative (Yes, very much so)…… Negate (However)…… Ruri: U-um……I don’t like being suddenly hugged. Kururi: Love (Ruri-san is very cute). Ruri: Th-thank you. ……Um, could you let go now? Kururi: Warmth (Ruri-san, you’re warm)……. Ruri: U-um…… Kururi: Fragrance (And you smell really nice)…… Ruri: (Wh-what should I do……!?)

[Voicemail] ... Uh. Oh. Kasuka, hi. I just figured I'd check in on you and see if you're doing okay and all. It's... Ha, it's been kinda wild over here--[A pillow hitting the wall and laughter]... I'll call later.[A muffled growl before a click.]
Kasuka blinked as the muffled laughter followed the abrupt interruption. He tried to picture it, what exactly was going on--probably his sibling’s attempt at seeming unperturbed by the cut-off before turning back to whomever had caused it. Though... it was hard to tell whether Shizuo was truly annoyed just then. The call had been a little awkward to begin with, his frustration could had also come from there.
“Kinda wild?” The word stuck out oddly, and without any other means to decipher the meaning of it exactly, the younger Heiwajima was left confused. He ran that a few times through his mind and momentarily debated on calling back his brother or messaging a certain underground doctor to casually ask about it, in exchange for some sort of merchandise if needed be.

just so everyone knows, i would kill for a tom. just. please.
paronomasianist:
He’s still embarrassed, but the anger once bubbling under his core is easily dispersed beneath the heat of his cheeks. Shizuo ducks his head, hands sliding into his pockets if only to have them curling tightly in the safety where none could see. He’s tense, but hearing his younger brother speak up Shizuo’s head lifts, and he follows.
“Ah–” Shizuo starts, let’s his mouth fall shut when he clears his throat, steps up a bit closer but mindful. Shizuo could feel stares digging into his back, the brush of irritation at being stared at but he focuses on the silence between him and his brother before he tries to speak up again– “You okay?” Is offered, “do those…fans normally…” He trails off, unsure on how to explain.
Kasuka wasn’t tense despite being aware of the possible problems that might be caused as a result of Shizuo’s connection to him being known. In truth, an innumerable number of lenses would become focused on the man, and knowing the media, only two or three reporters would be enough to incite a reaction out of the bellicose nature his brother was known for. Perhaps, it was this which made Kasuka all the more resolute to get out of the area in a quick manner. So resolute, in fact, he failed to notice his brother’s own stance on the matter.
“I’m okay.” Kasuka responded easily, eyeing the crowd a few meters back now before slowing down his pace. “Are you alright?” His gaze veered to his brother, his stare blank a moment as he intended to decipher the other’s question.
“Normally...?”

Kurosawa wasn’t made for parties, she knew that. It was awkward for a person like her to attend this kind of events just to sit in a table far away from the rest of the people.
The event has this formal vibe, everyone dressed in their best attires, dancing and drinking. What was she doing there again? Oh right, here boss had invited her personally to take a look at higher class citizens.
Taking a sip of her glass of wine, crossing her arms as she stared at the couples dancing, a beautiful waltz playing. She just wanted to go home.
The fancy attires may have detracted newcomers from seeing the massive gossip that occurred at these events. The crowd which was familiar, however, knew better than to believe the social gathering of big-name faces--be it from entertainment, politics, or corporations--would restrain itself from sniffing out every last detail it could.
Kasuka, or rather Hanejima Yuuhei, was a member of the crowd familiar with these gatherings. Having attended many himself as a product of work, the actor knew better than to isolate himself too much and talk too little. Point in case was made when a couple of colleagues, commented on what seemed to be a wall flower, an uncommon sighting really at these events.
“No. I don’t believe I’ve seen her before.”
"Kasuka." It's not often he gets to check in with his brother, let alone willing go see him given circumstances. But, if only to offer belated apologies. "... Sorry, I missed New Years." Extremely belated. ( aaaa weba. uvu sorry i've been out! )
It was a visit he hadn’t expected, but one he’d always welcome.
“It’s been a while…” The brunet’s voice was airy, albeit still lacking in much of an expressive tone.
It took a moment before the words registered in his mind, suddenly recognizing this was an apology. He could not say he was amazed. No matter what, his brother always seemed to be apologizing–even for things that weren’t necessarily his fault.
“It was a busy time for me as well, so please don’t worry about it.” His formality hadn’t lessened. Still, it didn’t change his sentiments towards his sibling. “But, I hope we at least get to catch up sometime, even if it isn’t over a holiday, Nii-san.”
Strawberry Parfait - Aikatsu! ep38
The buzz in in the city dwindled. Couples loitered and walked home while some establishments closed early. Indeed, the area reflected a silent night, Holy night.
Kasuka hummed, the idea humoring him internally, as he watched bright lights flicker off whilst the ornamental ones remained visible. The traffic on the main highway had also shrunk, at least from what he could see by the window. Christmas Eve was gone, and perhaps continued indoors for many others.
Deep eyes stared out the window, seeing the lights which decorated the city illuminate without the welcoming brightness they commonly did. Instead, the picture was quieter despite the luminosity, it was frozen in stillness somehow. Perhaps, it were his eyes which had twisted the otherwise normal day to fit his expectation, what was supposed to be a quiet day to spend with a precious someone, rather than the ordinary work-filled schedule he’d been dealt.
He closed his eyes in a languid blink, opening them only briefly thereafter. If the disappointment was an emotion he could harbor, perhaps the loss of another Holiday was not so bad.
“Hanejima-san, there you are!”
The actor turned to the call, no trace of dismay ever tainting his gaze even if he had been a slight melancholic just earlier. Instead, Kasuka turned to his manager, apologizing curtly for having strayed farther expected while the other had been finalizing last minute contracts.
It was time to return to reality. The romantic construction in his mind would simply have to wait. Perhaps, until he arrived home, to delude him once more. Perhaps, until he finally found a fulfilling way to spend such a thematic night.
