Alright, I am totally rebooting this character, as in starting a new blog. I'll be getting rid of her entire backstory and the whole Doctor Who part of her. If you're still interested in roleplaying, I'll post a link to the new one and you can follow me on that.

Spock’s human half’s evolving relationship to Spock’s humanity, Stardate 3012.6 - Stardate 8141.6
These two scenes remind me of each other because they boldly illustrate how disparate TNG and DS9 were when it came to morality. In TNG, there was often a right answer, and the lines separating what was good and bad were often clear. While in DS9, the best thing to do was not always the “right” thing to do. DS9 gave you scenarios where you could not judge whether decisions were moral or immoral, leaving you conflicted because they did not fit in those boxes.
Also, I find these scenes are remarkable because they showed how the principles that Starfleet claimed it was built on went out the window when it itself was threatened.

At long last, Number One's Mirror Universe counterpart has finally arrived!
Fleeing from the Terran Empire, Oswin’s family’s ship was accidentally sucked into a wormhole that landed them in the Delta Quadrant, where they were promptly boarded and assimilated by the Borg. For the next twenty seven years, One of Seven, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 11, served as a drone for the Borg, until she was liberated by the Doctor. With her new found individuality, One of Seven travels with the Doctor all across time and space, trying to find a permanent residence to reside in. But, for how long can they outrun both the Terran Empire and the Borg?
I've got the most super awesome idea for Mirror!Number One so I'm going to be working on a separate blog for her for the rest of the day. I'm really excited about it, so I might be preoccupied by it for the next couple of days or so.
red alert dont read 2009 script i repeat do not fucking read this
#reminder that amanda’s name is latin for she who must be loved #if you take it as a passive periphrastic #which i do #her very name is an order for spock to feel #a dare (tags via spikeface)
Thor now calls Loki “Broki.” Loki then proceeds to blow up like a little shit and fuck everything up
Ryou , even though asleep, could hear faint murmuring outside of the dream that belonged to number one. He would drift into a deep sleep and immediately wake back up. He felt wiped out for some reason..
"... Just try to hurry, Doctor, alright? See you," Number One hung up and looked back at the boy, whom seemed to be having some trouble staying awake. "The Doctor will come here and take you back home as soon as he can. Do you want some tea while you wait?"
Ryou’s eyes held a gleam of joy, he snuggled on the end of the couch and sighed. “Tske your time sir!” The couch was very comfy, the young one closed his eyes and began to drift off already.
Thank God, Number One thought as she watched the boy fall asleep on the sofa. She walked over to her desk and pulled out her comm.
"Hello? Doctor it's me, Number One. I've got a little boy here from 2013..."
reboot pike and one middle aged romance is actually the most adorable thing in my life at the moment
((asdfghjkl I want to roleplay with a Pike so badly!))
"Seems a bit cozy." The child made a loud cooing noise, continuing to look around. He looked back at her. "But you said you had to take me to someone to get me home?
"Yes, a friend of mine called the Doctor. I'm going to call him now, you can have a seat on the sofa while I do," Number One pointed at the beige sofa next to a big window that showed the cluster of stars the Enterprise was studying at the moment.
"Little trouble with the locals. Apparently they don’t have a very nice recollection of me." She admitted.
Number One nodded. "How so?"

"2008?" She tried cautiously, maybe she thought she was drunk. Gwen had had a bit of wine with dinner last night, but nothing to warrant this kind of mental response. Though she had been drugged before, so that wouldn’t be a first. This definitely wasn’t retcon though.
Definitely something timer-wimey going on, as the Doctor would put it. She would have to contact him to return the woman back to her home, but God knows how long it will take to get a hold of him. "It's 2260. That's right, over two hundred years in the future. You're on the USS Enterprise, a starship."
+3 have stopped by
"It’s the fifteenth of August, 2013….hungover, huh? That sucks."
More than two hundred years in the past. Brilliant. "More so than you can imagine."
He says, "Yes, but they both passed away years ago." "They were fairly old when they adopted me in the first place." "I just keep referring to them in the present tense for some reason." He pauses in thought. "So I really have no reason to go back to Earth." "Mainly when I do it is to visit the refineries that make the plating and structural components that we use." "I like to see if they have changed any metallurgical qualities to them so I know what I am dealing with when I make repairs and such." He leans his head back and closes his eyes, and goes silent. His fingers start moving as though he is counting with them. After a few moments he brings his head up and looks at Number One. He says, "Why did you ask if Missouri was capable of transwarp?"
"The only people I've got left back on Earth are my mum and boyfriend," Number One said. Pike had just had surgery that gave him back the use of his legs, and was recovering very well from it, from what he told her. She would prefer it if she could be there to see for herself, but duty calls, as the saying goes.
"Hmm?" Number One snapped back to reality. "Oh, well I'm just curious because it's clearly an advanced ship for our time, so I thought it might be capable of doing such an advanced concept like transwarp."
She’d seemed to stumble into a lot of people in these past few days - some she’d have to consider as shady, the others had just been … intriguing, so to speak. And Number One - god, that still felt weird - definitely fit the latter category. Truth be told, she wanted to know more about her, hence the peculiar question that had seemed to come up all of the sudden. Hopefully she wasn’t about to end up creeping her away and such.
Mel’s eyebrow arched. “Seriously?” she formed a look disbelief for a few moments, only to be snapped back mere seconds later. “Uh - no. I’m sorry that was such a random question. I guess I just wanted to you know, keep the conversation going,” she scratched the back of her neck. “But that’s awesome. You definitely look much younger than your age, just saying,” a shrug. “I’d say around early twenties, nowhere near thirty.”
Number One laughed, slightly relieved. "That's what my old boyfriend used to say to me as well! There was already a bit of an age gap between us to begin with, and me being able to pass myself off as a teenager definitely didn't help that," She smiled at the memory of Pike. "And you? I'd say you're in your thirties."
