[this point was taken straight from @ appvrition's andrea intro, all credit goes to her <33] [trigger warning for parental abandonment] born and raised in the city of austin, to matías orozco & valeria aguilar. her father a now retired army man, had been injured in the field and ended up meeting valeria while going through rehab the two quick to fall in love. he'd been honorably discharged and decided to move back to texas, his home state, with his now wife. he started how own security firm while she remained in her nursing career, eventually expanding their family to 5 and the rest as they say is history.
avalon is the youngest of the family, and as such when their mother decided to leave them around twenty years ago she was barely a 6 year old girl, which is why she doesn't have as many memories of that time -or their mother- as her sisters might have
the only things she remembers from back then is the feeling of guilt, as if she could have done something to prompt valeria to leave them, and most of all -- she remembers andy, the oldest of them stepping up and becoming her mother figure
although she does really love her father she's much closer to her sisters than him
as an unconscious reaction to her mother's abandonment ava found her own perfect way to forget all about it - losing herself in fictitious worlds, nose buried in book after book for as long as she can remember. becoming a regular at their closest library and only asking her family for books for any special occasion
the only thing that caught her attention almost as much as literature was music - starting to take piano lessons early in her teen years
her school years breezed by without much noise, as it was the norm with her she mostly kept to herself aside from a few close friends and was happy with that
she appreciates her slow, chill life and doesn't allow any life setbacks to upset her. after she was rejected from arts school she simply brushed it off and moved on to the next thing
with all of that it comes as surprise to literally no one that she's as happy as she could be with her job at the book store, bonding with their clients through recommendations and small talk about different books, and even offering custom bindings for those interested
ava doesn't have a big social media presence, when she remembers to post on her accounts it will probably be pics of her books, coffees, her family or cute animals that might cross her path. she's probably behind in most social media trends and popular topics
she does, though, have a fairly popular side account she hasn't shared with her acquaintances where she shares even more book recommendations and reviews with the occasional video playing the piano
although she isn't big on clubbing she does enjoy the occasional bar crawl with friends or simply hanging out with them at home sharing a beer, watching movies and chit chatting
