Millicent rolled her eyes as she heard the familiar yet utterly repulsive name. âQuality over quantity; would he prefer more people who do not perform well, or people that can actually do their jobs?â she inquired rhetorically. Uncaring as to what Rodolphus Lestrange wanted, she hoped his toes caught fire every time she laid eyes upon him. She smiled widely as she listened to Kingsleyâs reaction. He was one person she could truly confide in, and even more than that someone who she truly respected. âYes! Thank you. I feel like Iâm wasting away behind a deak â I have so much more to give.â she tells.
âI think he prefers people who will do things how he wants them done.â He dismisses the subject, believing that he could deal with the repercussions of that problem when it arises once again. Turning his attention more onto what she was proposing. âWhen did you decide this?â

Florence walked up to Kingsley, sneaking up from behind him, standing on her toes reaching as high as she could and covering both his eyes with her hands. âGuess!â She chuckled. âAlso youâre totally picking the wrong tea.â
@imshacklebolted
His mouth opens in a laugh, instantly placing her voice but doesnât move to push her hands off of his eyes. âUm-- give me a hint? Well...I mean Iâm never going to pick the right tea thereâs no way I can tell them apart now. Youâre going to have to describe them all to me.â

âIâm honored then, really,â Alice laughed, waiting for him to take a bite. âSo, what do you think? My grandmere sent them from France the other day, and I really like them. Much better than all the paperwork theyâve been having us do in the office, thatâs for sure.âÂ
He takes a small bite of the sweet, nodding to demonstrate his answer before he even opens his mouth again. âItâs really good, whatâs it called exactly? --Tastes better than the paperwork thatâs for sure.â

âWhat do you mean? Of course youâre funnyâ Iâm just, Iâm just stupid honestly. I donât always follow.â He gestured to himself, waving off the self-deprecation as if it were average for him. âNo, no, itâs quite alright, really. I donât mind.â Peter lied, probably unsuccessfully too. âJust a drink, not much new for me. Long day. What is the great Kingsley Shacklebolt doing here?â That was definitely too much, he told himself.Â
âNaw you donât have to humor me I swear. I donât think the possibility of a humorous talent would be very likely for me anyway --my audience would probably just be Moody. No, no itâs fine.â He shakes his head, going over to grab his own drink as well as another for Peter. âUp to anything new today?â He chuckles. âAh I just thought I would take a little break before starting my patrol for the night.â

âThank you so much, Kingsley. That means a lot to me.â She scrunched up her nose, unable to answer the question. âI donât think you realize that I change my mind on my preferred every minute, no, every second, so I will never be able to have a favourite tea.â She finished dramatically. âRight now, I will have raspberry and mint tea though. What will you be having?âÂ
âYouâre welcome. Are you enjoying your day so far?â He chuckles, looking over at the massive selection of teas. âAlright well then Iâll try that one too. I donât actually know that much about tea, so Iâll stick with your recommendations.â
peterpettigrxw;;
Peter immediately nodded, gesturing to the bar. âOf course, on me, definitely.â Kingsley was certainly terrifying, and heâd only ever had brief conversations with him outside of important meetings. He was practically quaking in his boots. âAgain, Iâm really sorryâ Iâm a fucking mess of a clutz, mate.â Could he call him mate? Was that allowed?
âNo really donât lose any sleep over it, itâs fine. Iâm not actually going to hold you accountable for it. Guess Iâm not as funny as I like to think, you donât have to buy me a drink.â He chuckles softly, not registering the discomfort of the younger wizard. âAnyway, what brings you here today?â
aliceroseswonderland;;
Oh, you have to try them, theyâre amazing. Here, donât you think?
âWell okay, but only because of your recommendation donât think I go around accepting candy from everyone.â

âThat is particularly coincidentalâŠYes, I think suspending them was a good idea. â she noted. Wondering exactly how that person had even slipped through he system if they were truly a danger. She shook her head and smiled at Kingsley who was obviously skeptical. âI know, I know. But quitting this job gives me the chance to take my bosses job. Iâve been considering running for minister, Kingsley.â she told delightfully. Hoping he would think that it was as good of an idea as she was.Â
âMaybe for right now but you know Rodolphus Lestrange is going to make a fuss about it. Come into my office and blame me for the fact that we are short on aurors in the field right now.â He drops the subject for now, choosing to deal with that particular problem when it decided to saunter into his gaze. His eyes widen, smiling still as he processes her words. âReally? Thatâs amazing! You could really be able to make a change!â

âSorry âbout that, mate. Saw a photo being taken, I got in it. No matter though â we all looked good, yeah?â
âYou know what I think they will forgive you. But maybe you should go for your own photo next time --I hope you at least know them.â

âOoh Iâm so glad you could come!â Hestia gushed. âWhatâs your favourite tea? We can get it prepared for you right now with the help of our magical assistants! I mean theyâre just waiters that parents for the day, but, you know, magical.âÂ
âThank you for the invitation. Happy Birthday--everything looks great youâve done a really good job putting this together.â He shrugs. âHey itâs your birthday, whatâs your favourite tea?â
You have to believe. Otherwise, it will never happen.

âWhat did they do exactly?â she asked curiously. She wondered what a trainee could cause considering how little time theyâd spent in training, how much damage was capable of being caused? âUhm itâs about the same, just working. Iâve been considering something and I wanted to tell you before I â uhm wellâŠI may have to quit my job.â she told honestly. Unsure about how he would take the following statement.Â
âWell for starters they were conveniently absent during that last attack on Diagon Alley when we needed aurors to help out. But other than that there was too much attitude and Moody got fed up with it. Obviously I backed him up on the move to suspend them. --What? Why would you have to quit? Iâve never seen you away from this job.â
flowergrowth;;
âNo, itâs fine! I can, I mean⊠itâs just not what I usually do, but I mean, I could probably accept just one letter. As long as I donât start taking everyoneâs and mess something upâ you shouldnât have to wait after all,â Blossom chuckles awkwardly and shakes her head. âHuh, suspicious,â she bites her bottom lip, âI havenât seen new owls, that I can tell you for sure. I check on them every day, I feed them and all that, so I know whoâs supposed to be here and who isnât. But missing letters, Iâm not sure. I think thatâs something that happens all the time, though.â
âOh okay well then yeah I will give it to you, just hope you donât end up in trouble for it, or an owl gets let go because of me. Is that a thing that happens? Anyway --new enough that they would seem suspicious? Or more like simply some you havenât seen before? Because of course that could be perfectly valid as well, thereâs no way for you to know every owl in the world.â

âNot that Iâve ever heard. But then again, I guess itâs lucky that they didnât just steal the list -â He trailed off, the thought of what could have happened to all those children far too dark for Ted to even think. Instead, he quickly switched gears. âAnyway, Iâll put another vote in for subcommittee on your behalf.â
âYouâre right yeah. I am glad they didnât think of something like that or we would have a much more threatening problem on our hands. I guess we should be counting our blessings. --Great thanks. And really Iâll do anything I can to help if you need it, doesnât matter if itâs not exactly in my job description.â
