I think it's cool that Gate gives individual names to his creations instead of names like "Rainy Turtloid, Commander Yammark," etc. The names we know could be something that makes them recognizable to others, but Gate calls them by their proper names in private precisely as a gesture of affection.

Like Heatnix being called "Icarus," or Turtloid being called "Kami" or something...
