Solo // The Story So Far
Female politicians being routinely threatened with rape is unquestionably the most despicable aspect of todayâs political climate. Any person with an ounce of decency should be condemning it, clearly and unequivocally.
No woman should ever have to face that level of abuse, and if your attempt at defending them is, âI donât like her butâŠâ you need to take a fucking good look at yourself. Itâs utterly fucking irrelevant what you think of the victim.
Attacks like these will only stop if we create a culture where the condemnation of them is so explicit and unambiguous that these horrific fuckholes actually become fearful of the consequences of their actions.
Iâve never actually seen what it looked like before Mt. RushmoreâŠitâs so saddening.

i dont really⊠WANT⊠to leave tumblr. ive been here since 2011
no other platform has the right format for me to just randomly barf actual thoughts, joaks, and genuine creative content all in the same breath. i dont know how to compartmentalize
every other platform you gotta be a real person. Here you are youâre icon and username and whatever your hyperfixation is at the current moment
on tumblr you can make a post that just says âminecraftâ and get 50k notes, where on twitter you have to steal tweets and instagram you have to be hot. tumblr is more like a bunch of kids let loose in walmart where there are no rules and the only god is a bald swedish man
Chicken House
be ur own father!! let urself down!!!!
iâm a simple man
i see my dog
i kiss him
1 reblog = 1 kiss for 1 good boy
ONE HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY EIGHT KISSES FOR GOOD BOY
Smiling at Strangers
When i walk through the door
And i make eye contact
Iâll always smile at you
No matter how im feeling
Because a stranger smiling at you
Is comforting
Smiles are safe
Reassuring
But when iâm walking home
And i go to take the shortcut through the alley
And leaning against a wall smoking a dirty cigarette
Is a stranger with a smile
But it isnât really a smile
More of a snarl
His sharp teeth glinting in the moonlight
His smile wasnât comforting
When i run over to the grocery store
My sisters hand held tight in mine
As the man whoâs yelling at us to smile
Starts to chase our footprints
Heâs yelling im prettier with a smile
And my little sister is so confused why this man is coming home with us
She thinks heâs a friend of mine
She tries to wave at him as i pull her along
We are finally home and iâm locking the doors and closing the curtains
And i have to sit down with her and tell her how this happens all the time
Shes 7
I was too scared to smile
I was in a nursery
Looking for some plants
And i smiled at a man working there
And he followed me over
Talking all about how he had plants
And he shook my hand and held it for just a little bit too long
And he bent down and kissed my hand
And asked how a lady so beautiful looked so alone
And how i didnât have a husband yet
And all i could do was smile a bit and laugh uncomfortably
And his smile was missing teeth
But it wasnât a smile
It was a snarl
A baring of fangs
To make me scared
To make me fear him
Because he was a man
And he could do whatever he wanted to me
Because his smile
Made my heart beat so fast in my throat
And he knew it
I forget to smile at men now
Most of them wonât hurt me
But you never know
The kindest smile
Can have the most terrifying snarl
I just want smiles to be safe again
And not a flirtation excuse used against me in court
Now iâm scared to smile
When iâm alone in the street

1) Hair was nowhere brought up until your weak ass comment with a kissy face emoji came along. You ainât cute, Eliza.
2) Hair has no significance at all. Wigs, weaves, extensions have no importance to any race whatsoever. Thatâs right, Libby, having straight/wavy/curly hair isnât exclusive to blackness, whiteness, and any race in between.
3) Hairstyles, however, have significance. Hairstyles such as cornrows, braids, and dreadlocks have cultural significance that is exclusive to Africans. So, if we see yo unseasoned ass wearing cornrows, that cultural appropriation, because the hairstyle doesnât belong to you and Black people are getting shitted on for wearing cornrows at the same time.
But wait⊠We canât have your hairstyle but you can straighten your hair? Thatâs hypocritical!
No, Annabelle, itâs not. Living in the US, African Americans get discriminated for wearing their African hairstyles.Â
1) You can be denied from getting a job because your Black hairstyle is âunprofessionalâ and looks âunkemptâ. Whatâs crazy is that itâs completely legal. So Black people, especially Black girls, have to wear wigs, relax their hair, or just cut their hair just to get a fuckinâ job.
2) Due to European beauty standards, Black hairstyles isnât attractive nor desirable⊠Unless itâs on a White girl. So Black girls have to buy wigs, weaves, and extensions, and relax their hair just to appeal to societyâs standards of beauty. But you got nothinâ to worry about, Susan. You benefit from this double standard.
3) Itâs called âAssimilationâ, Rebecca. When Black people have to conform to societyâs standards whether to look more appealing to the general public, or look more professional to get a job, by relaxing their hair, and buying weaves n extensions, itâs an assimilation.Â
Until society can stop shitting on Black people w/ Black hairstyles and get the same amount of praise that White people get for wearing them, we maybe generous and not mind yâall wearing em. But you see, yâall fucked up! So until that double standard gets dismantled, stay in your fuckinâ lane Dakota.
I live for drags like this.
Go off
With all the black girls bleaching they skin đ© ok Iâll wait đ€žđ»ââïž
@lilmizzcuntcake - Oh no Mackenzie, people who run they mouth donât have to wait.
Do you really know why Black girls bleach their skin? Do you understand how toxic it is to Black girls, and no weâre not just talking applying bleach to your skin, weâre talkinâ mentally and emotionally. Did you know that bleaching or whitening your skin is a GLOBAL thing?? I bet you didnât, Summer, but wait no longer though, because youâre gonna learn, right fuckinâ now.
1) AgainâŠÂ ASSIMILATION! Look up the word, please. Having White, or light skin, is seen as a desirable and an attractive feature on women in todayâs society. This is due to European Beauty Standards. This is literally like hair, except weâre talking about skin tones now!
Anyways, since the world finds Black women to be the least attractive demographic group, compared to White, Hispanic, and Asian women (data which came from Facebookâs dating app), itâs no wonder why Black girls would feel so unloved and so insecure to the point where they have to put their health at risk just to look and feel beautiful.
2) Internalized Racism also plays a part in this. Internalized racism is self-hate for your own race, and/or skin tone. No Black girl wakes up one morning and thinks to themselves: âHmmm, I should probably bleach my skin so i can look like a White girlâŠâ. NooooâŠÂ This happens because of low self-esteem, and hate for oneself, solely because you blame your skin tone for appearing unattractive to society.
As a result of this internal hatred, Black girls may bleach their skin, in hopes of appearing as beautiful as the next light skin girl. But you wouldnât understand that though⊠You donât hear White girls crying in they sleep because âthey wish they can be darker in skin toneâ. The only women that do that is Black girls; Black girls who hate themselves sooo much, theyâd do anything to be lighter, even if it they have to put their health on the line.
2) Letâs talk about the damages this does to Black women. Do you remember Lil Kim? The Black female rapper that brought you hits like âCrush on Youâ & âHow Many Licksâ?Â
Sheâs gone through A LOT of abuse from her past relationships, both physical and emotional abuse. She was constantly told that she was undesirable and Lil Kim felt that if she was lighter in skin tone, guys would become more attracted to her⊠This is the result of people saying that Black girls are unattractiveâŠ
This is her nowâŠ
Look at her skin toneâŠ
Look at her noseâŠ
Sheâs still Lil Kim to us, but thereâs no denying the fact that sheâs visibly broken inside. She has ultimately submitted to the idea that light/white skin is more attractive than black skin, and this is the result of it all.
Letâs not forget that abuse isnât the only way to convince Black girls that there is something wrong with their skin:
- Black rappers will swear to you they LOVE Black girls, but when you look at their music videos, itâs filled with White/Light skinned girls.Â
- Black female models are rarely seen in advertisements and magazines, let alone the fact that Black models make up a very small percentage in the fashion industry that is predominately White.
- Black actresses rarely get any representation in the hollywood business, let alone the fact on how difficult it is for Black actresses to get lead roles.
So imagine living in a world where people told you that dark skin was unattractive, but thereâs is a way to fix it⊠Which brings us to number 3âŠ
3) Whitening Cream⊠Yes, Alyssa, bleaching your skin isnât the only option to whiten oneâs skin. As a matter of fact, ITS JUST AS BAD, IF NOT WORSE!
Everything youâre about to read comes from the Dark Girls documentary (2011):
- Whitening skin cream has been proven multiple times to cause negative long-term effects, like cancer.
- Whitening skin products is a billion-dollar industry, with sales as high as $43 billion in 2008 - worldwide.
- In countries like, like Korea, Thailand, Dominican Republic, and Ghana, whitening skin cream is one of the most popular cosmetic products on the market.
- In countries around the world, especially in Asia or Africa, Whitening skin cream is commonly advertised in billboards and magazines
- Finally, even though a country, like Thailand, is predominately dark in skin tone, their media is nearly full of their light skin counterparts.
So not only is this issue affecting Black girls, it affects anybody who is dark in skin tone. Itâs a global situation where for some reason, âdarker is wrong, but lighter is lovelyâ, but yo pasty Elmerâs glue havin-ass wanna talk shit about Black girls tryna bleach their skin so they can look White, rite????
Now, let me say this one more time for the culture:
NO BLACK GIRL EVER WANTS TO BE WHITE!Â
This need 500k notes.
Drag they asses and educate them too!
These heifers really tried it
Y be unseasoned chicken just y????
âNO BLACK GIRL EVER WANTS TO BE WHITEâ -@blackpoeticinjustice
Preach!!
As a black male, I second this notion and in fact will go to say that no Black man wants to be white. Never ever been a desire of mine. Even through all the hardships we face as a people, I wouldnât trade my life and experiences for one day as a white person.
