jill roord is such an enigma.
she should've been the player we can really depend on. especially with the absence of kim little & beth mead.
talent, technique, ability. it's all there.
idk why but for some reason it hasn't materialized yet.
makes me think of dominique bloodworth.
Oh, I’m being indecisive for far too long about this whole home retreat trip. It might be easier if there’s someone telling me to pack my stuff and go home instead of just me making the decision by myself. I’m not particularly loving it here these days. But Captain Marvel is coming out in theaters in like 2 weeks. It would be cumbersome if I have to see it when I’m in my hometown just for the logistical reason. Ugh, curses!
hi i'm not sad per se, i'm just numb and tired bye

❝I’ve been fortunate in my career, but, yes, there have been many times when I have been told my audition has been cancelled because they’re only going to see white people. The statistics are really depressing. I remember reading some that made me think: Oh, you are more likely to see an alien in a Hollywood film than an Asian woman.❞
But she is going to be an alien Kree on Captain Marvel movie next year. What does it say about this matter then?
Personally, I’m just glad that she is taking a part in such a big and successful Hollywood franchise. And beside, she also has Crazy Rich Asians. Pretty sure they’re gonna make more installment in that.
SDCC 2017 Hall H Panel: Superhero Movies
Both DC and Marvel bring their best today to show something that they’re working on. But here’s what I thought.
1. DC was trying too hard to sell their movies. I didn’t like the way the casts of Justice League talk about their movie and superhero movies in general. They were trying so hard to undermine anyone else in the game, and just keep telling they are the best in the business.
I don’t mind at all admitting the fact that they have the biggest characters, but please just focus to continue making the best movie possible, instead of just throwing a bunch of movie titles without having an actual solid plan. We’ve been hearing Shazam for years before, and yet, we haven’t seen anything from them. We know you’re not in very good shape.
Maybe it’s just a nature of DC movies that they took so long to be made. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was announced 3 years prior to the actual release date.
I don’t know, maybe I’m such a Marvel fanboy.
2. What I can appreciate about DC panel is, they eager to release footage that they were showing at the Hall H online. It’s almost always the case for every year.
3. In the other side, Marvel Studio was providing some update for their upcoming movies. Yep, in plural. They announced casts of Captain Marvel, and Ant-Man and The Wasp, and brought a new trailer (available online) for Thor: Ragnarok which come later this year, the same case with Justice League.
Kevin Feige and all the film makers who attended the event offered an actual progress for each movie they’re working on, instead of just name dropping a bunch of high profile movie titles without release date or people attached to those projects.
So, I don’t get why is people being so whiny. While both movies are very different kind of movie, Justice League is an ansamble movie and Thor: Ragnarok is much like stand alone, both studios equally bring the very same hype.
4. For the big gun, Marvel Studio also showed clip from Black Panther and trailer of Avengers: Infinity War exclusively for Hall H, which I heard are insane! They haven’t released it online yet, which everyone SHOULD understand, because those movies are far away from their release date.
And I think the people who attended the Hall H panel are the most well-deserved to be able watching it at the moment. Everyone else should have patience.
People are saying by not releasing Avengers: Infinity War trailer online, Marvel Studios kind of lose to DC for becoming the best panel in Comic Con. I respectfully disagree. DC just made their ansamble movie, the thing that Marvel Studio has already done in 5 years ago.
By promoting a third movie of one of their biggest superhero, Thor: Ragnarok, a movie that everyone believes will lead directly to the culmination of what they’ve been doing for the last 10 years (Avengers: Infinity War), Marvel Studio offers something as big as their competitor.
So stop whining and cursing, and have some patience for fuck sake.
am i being so stupid? again?

I'm going to grow my hair just like Dave Patel in Lion (2016), a movie I haven't seen yet. Just a random thought.
