I Want to Talk About Jurassic Park More

People love to hate her; people find her annoying and see her as useless, but I love her character. She’s not some dinosaur expert that was looking for a cheap thrill on an island crawling with them. No, she’s a mother desperate to find her son. She’s aware of how dangerous the island is, she just sees it as secondary to how important it is to find her son. She’s probably one of the strongest characters there due to her love. And not once did she ever consider the fact that Eric might be dead.

Also, she draws parallels with the female raptor. The female raptor’s eggs get stolen from her nest and she hunts the ones who took them all over the island. She finally corners them at the end and immediately targets Amanda, the only female in the group.

In my opinion, one of the main themes of Jurassic Park 3 is a mother’s love and determination.

I think the main reason I enjoyed Jurassic World Rebirth so much is because it didn't have the heroic notion of needing to save the dinosaurs, humans and velociraptors bonding, or major fate deciding dinosaur fights. Instead it went back to Jurassic Park's roots with the screaming and fleeing while dinosaurs acted on instincts by stalking and hunting their prey. We got to spend the majority of the movie on the island, seeing the animals in their "natural" habitats and the people there weren't trying to hunt them or capture them. Sure they were there for their DNA but it was research based kind of similar to The Lost World.

That being said, I do still enjoy the other Jurassic World movies, especially since it gave us the Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory shows that I absolutely love. Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom shows the bond between Blue and Owen form which I didn't care for too much at first, but after rereading the book it reminded me of the little raptor that bonded with Timmy. So it's not so surprising or unrealistic that a Jurassic Park/World movie would include something like that.

Also, Rebirth brought back the feeling of learning about the scientific side of the story and the excitement of a paleontologist seeing the things they've only read about, like Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park.

Chaos Theory Season 4 Episode 2

Did they not learn anything from the first Jurassic Park? The appearance of an extraordinary smart velociraptor usually means that they have the ability to outsmart their handlers and cause chaos. The appearance of the bigger female raptor in Jurassic Park led to her killing all of the other raptors in their herd but three. Then she moved on to having them test the fences and looking for weaknesses. She was smart and waited for the right moment to escape. And here we have another overly intelligent raptor who is learning fast and look what happened!

I really like the dynamic going on with Sammy and Kenji. I think it’s good for the both of them. I really wish they’d give us more information on Sammy’s family though. It’s crazy to think they were so close but now her family shuns her because she didn’t want them partnering with Biosyn. But I did see them walking into a trap coming. I hope we at least get to see references to Dominion (maybe the plane going down or Claire plummeting towards the trees).

Darius and Brooklynns rift is stressing me out. I get why he’s upset and I still don’t like how Brooklynn handled things, but there’s bigger things going on at the moment. I hope things are better when they reunite with Sammy and Kenji…

Episode 3

Episode 3

Once again perfect communication between team Kenji and Sammy! Kenji voicing that parents are meant to protect when both Sammy and Kenji’s parents have abandoned them was like a punch in the gut. However, the meet up of the nublar six had me tearing up.

Also, I love this version of Henry Wu. A mad scientist realizing he’s gone too far and finally trying to make amends for his creation. I almost forgot that nothing at Jurassic Park would be possible without Henry Wu.

I Finally Watched the First Episode of Chaos Theory Season Four

I’ve been putting the series off for awhile now. Mostly because I’ve been busy and want to be able to give it my full attention, but also because I love this series so much and I’m not ready to see it end. Anyways, here are my thoughts of season four episode one-

Fantastic opening episode in my opinion! I have my ups and downs with Brooklynn (mostly because I’m still bitter about how she treated Kenji), however I was impressed by her mimicry of Santos and her manipulation of Earnest. She’s really relying on her instincts and doing what she thinks necessary or “whatever it takes.”

I’m a little disappointed in Darius being upset with how she’s doing things and I get it, she probably shouldn’t have referred to Earnest as “Dino-nerd” but she was trying to act fast. She was just calling Darius Dino-nerd so it happened to be fresh on her mind.

Kenji’s handling of Dodgson was impressive too! He tried to go the higher route by paying for Bumpy, but him blackmailing Dodgson was so much more satisfying to watch. However, I hope Dodgson isn’t trying to lure them somewhere to get rid of them now…

Also, I feel like there’s a bit of a parallel going on between Brooklynn and Kenji in this episode. They’re both doing things they’re meant to oppose in order to achieve their goal. A part of me really wants them to reconcile and get back together (same with Yaz and Sammy).

Can’t wait for episode two!!

I’m finally on winter break from college and have the time to sit down and watch the last season of Chaos Theory. Although, I’m hoping they’ll do another series that follows along with Jurassic World Rebirth.

I plan to watch one episode at a time and post how I feel and what my theories are for the following episodes.

Finally finished my reread of the first Jurassic Park book

It’s been about ten years since I’ve read this book and I didn’t realize how much I misremembered. Like how Hammond died- not by Tyrannosaur, but compies. And I knew there were a lot of velociraptors but I completely forgot that they kept their nest underground and that one of the babies got ripped to shreds by an adult.

My biggest question after reading this now is if Marty Guitierrez is related to Sammy from Camp Cretaceous?!

What a fun tie in if he is!

He’s described as being an American with a southern accent and always wearing khakis. In the book he’s said to be a field biologist and he’s the one that takes a look at the girl who was bitten by the compy. Some fan theories suggest that he could be her uncle, but nothings is confirmed.

Also, the family at the beginning of the book are the Bowman’s. Possible Darius nod?

In Jurassic World Masrani comments on how smart Owen is and how he works with animals that are smarter and try to escape all the time. This is why he asked Claire to bring him to the Indominus Rex pin.

However, if Owen was used to animals of that nature then wouldn’t he know better than going into the Indominus Rex pin even if it looked like she escaped?

Scratching up a surface and hiding seems like something the raptors would try at least once. The monitors couldn’t detect the Indominus Rex but systems malfunction all the time and they should have still been cautious. The first thing they should have done before going into the pin was let Clair’s team locate her through her tracking implant (but then we wouldn’t have a movie).

I Just Watched Jurassic World Rebirth!

I am so excited today! I saw the post of the cast saying they had a surprise coming out on Monday and took the chance of snagging a ticket to AMC's Monday mystery movie. Lucky me, it was a surprise showing of Jurassic World Rebirth. I was already super excited for this movie with David Koepp coming back as a writer and seeing all of the PR done for it. In my opinion this movie was fantastic! It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I will be watching that again when it officially comes out (hopefully, I can grab one of the incubator popcorn buckets).

Did anyone else get the chance to see it tonight?

They Should Have Kept the Scene!

In Jurassic Park: The Lost World there's a scene that was left out of the final cut, but I really wish they would have kept it in. It's the scene when Roland, Ajay, and Ludlow are discussing what to do with the infant T. Rex. Roland refuses to cause it harm, then Ludlow trips and breaks its leg.

I think the scene would have showed more of Roland's personality. Although he's a big game hunter, he still would never go out of his way to torture an animal. Roland does have compassion. We see it later when he checks on Sarah when he thinks she's injured and how devastated he is when he learns of Ajay dying.

Also, keeping the scene of Ludlow breaking the infant's leg makes the ending scene of the parent T. Rex biting Ludlow's leg and letting the baby hut him more satisfying.

Did the Yellow Jacket Mercenary See Marine One?

Headcanon:

After the mercenary gets chased by the T-Rex, then eaten whole by the Mosasaurus he sees the missing Marine One sub. The two men haven't been digested yet, and they let him into the sub. The three of them remain there as they slowly lose oxygen. Or the Mosasaurus coughs them up, and they have a crazy story to tell their contractors.

Spoilers for Chaos Theory Season 3 Episodes 5-10

I finally finished the season and overall, I really enjoyed it. It had its ups and downs (mainly the Sammy/Yaz breakup), but that final confrontation between the Hanlder, Brooklynn, and Santos was great. Even though I knew the outcome, I still really wanted Santos to get away. She has been one of the coolest villains introduced and I’m sad we won’t get to see more of her.

Also, the way they took out the Handler! And the way they blended Dominion into season 3. I loved it.

Can’t wait for the next season!

Spoilers For Chaos Theory Season 3 Episodes 3&5

I wanted to talk about how much I love Nonna and Kenji’s relationship and how adorable watching Smoothie walk around was, but Sammy and Yaz fighting has me so upset!

How dare we go through so much build up throughout Camp Cretaceous and finally have them official, just for them to break up! And having Brooklynn as the catalyst!

I really hope that by the end of the season they’re able to patch things up and get back together.

Chaos Theory Season Three Spoilers! (Up to episode three)

Okay, I’m up to episode three and I’m still not convinced that Gia isn’t a spy! But I love Nonna and I’m so glad she can see how much Kenji is hurting. Also, I would have been so mad if Smoothie didn’t see Kenji first!

I really hope Sammy comes more into focus this season. I’m glad she’s not immediately forgiving and forgetting what Brooklynn has put them through. I still think she’s upset not only because of that but also because of her family issues.

I’ve decided to take my time watching Chaos Theory season three. So, I’ve only watched the first episode and man what an exciting start!

New thought - is Ben’s girlfriend a spy?? I hope not, but there’s always that possibility.

Also, everyone is wanting to give Brooklynn the benefit of the doubt, but where was that energy in Camp Cretaceous season five! Almost everyone turned on Kenji immediately and assumed he was working with his dad!

Two More Days Until Jurassic World Chaos Theory Season Three 🦕🦕🦕

Three More Days and Hopefully Secrets will be Revealed!

I have two theories I've been thinking about lately. One being is Kenji's dad really dead? And two being is Santos Daniel Kon's partner (and this one is a long shot, but the mermaid Kenji dreams about and draws in his family photo from Camp Cretaceous season three)?

In the trailer for season three we see a possible male figure following Brooklynn, then we later see that same figure standing with her as the handler blocks their way in a tunnel. Could that figure be Daniel Kon?

Also, season three episode three: Casa de Kenji, we get to see a picture Kenji drew as a child of his family. Which featured his dad holding hands with someone (maybe Candy since we have no mention of his mother), child Kenji, and a mermaid with blonde hair. I get that he always has the same dream of saving a mermaid, but it's still interesting to me that he would draw the mermaid in his family photo. Maybe the mermaid was based off of someone that he was around a lot as a child? I know this one isn't likely, but I think it's a fun idea. It could also explain why Daniel Kon wasn't killed. An even longer shot would be that Santos was Kenji's biological mother and that's why Kenji was never directly targeted by the handler.

I can't wait for the new season and to finally get more answers!
