Do you know anything about the domestication of Ferrets? What is the purpose/origin of such a noodly creature?
they were domesticated for exactly the same reason as cats were!
UTTER RODENT DEVASTATION.
the major difference between cats and ferrets that made domesticating BOTH of them a priority for humans was that ferrets are long and noodly and can actually pursue their prey into its burrow, meaning that an invading rat has literally nowhere to hide if you have a couple of ferrets on hand.
basically if you’re a rodent, you’re looking into the face of a lanky mammalian Xenomorph up there and there’s nothing you can do about it.
