Well, i'm terrible about keeping this updated.

Last night was the [short form] debut of KATZENKUNST / KUNST KATZE at Dixon Place. I'm so grateful to the friends who were there. And the generous energy of the audience as a whole!

One person said to me afterward, 'You should make this into a book!' Well... actually it started as a book.

I had hoped to have the second printing of the comic books ready to bring with me yesterday, but alas. I've been traveling for a month and have only been back in town for about 4 days now.

But for those interested, please keep an eye on here and i'll let you know as soon as they're ready. Or send me a private message with your email address, and i'll put you on my email update list! I only send things out about three times a year.

at dream of the red chamber.

For once, i did not dream. i awoke over and over again in delicately crafted moments- both choreographed and accidental. a friend walking across the room to me. a performer shifting through the curtains above my bed. 'Yes. I must go home and get some rest.'

On the train home into pre-dawn dusty bluegold brooklyn, my sleepy fingers folded a paper box, the effort of this activity tuning out the saturday night drunks. What is a weekend, anyway.

i am not the person i have been. i feel so rested i want to weep. i feel so peaceful i want to scream. where have i been all this time? no matter. here i am now. i am ready.

yes. i will be meticulous but not precious.

SATURDAY SOLD OUT, tickets for Sunday still available. "This room this braid" premieres a new work by choreographer devynn emory. Commissioned as part of ISSUE'€™s Artist-In-Residence program, the piece features devynn emory joined by dancer Aretha Aoki, with sound by Ryan MacDonald, and sets by painter RJ Messineo.
