SO WHY DO THEY NEED MY TUITION????

Ballet at the library? Yes! Kids at the Prairie Commons Branch experienced a special story time yesterday. Ballet dancers from the DaySpring School read the fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk, then taught the kids dance moves to act out the story they had just heard. You can see more adorable photos from the program here.

Beanstalk Ballet is a part of SLCL’s Art @ Your Library series. The program is being held at multiple branches, get the full schedule here.

Hey ranking people, do us all a favor and find another way to earn a living. We need a diverse set of higher education institutions to serve our nation's needs for an educated citizenry.

An entire generation of Americans has been sold the idea of higher education as a panacea for all ills. That generation of Americans is now shackled with giant and unsustainable levels of student debt. And now, it appears that the big college tidal wave has crested, and is beginning to crash down.
