dont get me wrong Color Pulse is good. Great even. Color Pulse 24 IS SOME BS THAT SH IS A 0/10
its so bad i cant even tell you. sorry not really the point
if we compare the main themes as they are (original City of Color, original Color Pulse, Anarchy Rainbow) then i see the arguments for any of these being the best themes. like AR slams but these are both really good and i can understand the different perspectives
but if we compare them as they are in 3 (City of Color '23, Color Pulse '24, Anarchy Rainbow) ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE AT ALL LIKE
color pulse 24's instrumental is too empty. its empty, the synth (?) is so like down and sad everything sounds toned down and upset. its like if Pearl and Marina performed it after losing a fest or like. bombing a show on the world tour theyre on. Pearl sounds kind of low and bored, Marina's mic sounds turned down and her vocals are good but not as good as the original (yes im saying the characters instead of their VAs. i dont think Rina Itou has done anything but Alice Peralta we have not forgotten those ugly ssa braids you wore)
city of color 23 puts color pulse 24 to actual shame and its STILL not better than the original or Anarchy Rainbow. callie sounds weird in 23 but marie's changes in the notes are cute. the instrumental is also different but its cutesy and bubbly and i mess w it. the bg cheers are turned down tho. the differences in their voices from the original to now are also better than OtH's. sorry i changed my mind 23 could debatably be put above the original. would I rank it higher? hmmmm depends but still i could see it

I am such a sucker for the layered voices. the festival vibe the community dont even
vocals are great. literally top to bottom theyre good. Shiver is peak. Frye is peak. Big Man is... there. dont get me wrong i like him but who gaf
their mics dont sound like they recorded in separate countries (admittedly some other deep cut songs will sound like this from time to time but thats not the point)
THE CHORUS BANGS SO HARD STOP. you can literally hear and see the blending of REAL LIFE CULTURES in this song and the performance. idc idc idc Anarchy Rainbow best song ever everybody else go home. its just such a good song it serves its purpose and i bump it outside of the game idc
like all the effects are so good they compliment the song really well the instruments are clear and upbeat THE CHORUS THE BACKGROUND VOCALS. dont even get me started on the live ver and the poison mixes. sorry okay im done
