Hi. Apparently the Met Office have said that these extreme temperatures, like what we have had last year and now this year (though their cited data is an analysis of last year's), are expected to become the quote "new normal".

I know a lot of people on Tumblr like making fun of us over here in the UK, and I know a lot of people on here like making fun of us for calling these temperatures "heatwave temperatures". I need you to understand that this is some pretty extreme climate change happening in real time and people are dying.
