Me again~! I hope you haven't been too stressed with answering asks on top of your personal life, but when you have some time I'd love to hear what you have to say about Fei Rune's physical appearance (I feel like it's Chrono Stone's resident bunny boy's turn~)
Ah yes, Fei Rune from Chrono Stone. To be honest, I wasn’t that enthusiastic when Chrono Stone came out- especially with the huge dump of new characters and a plot that dealt with time travel- but it eventually warmed up to me, and provided as an extra source of important characterization. That was how Fei was to me as well- at first I didn’t really like him, presuming that it was because of him Chrono Stone started- but surely I started to like him, and appreciate him more as a character. Now look at me- extremely happy to do a physical analysis on him.
Now before analyzing him in terms of his physical appearance, we should take a look at his base character before- as I noticed(and pointed out in an earlier post) that GO has this tendency with it’s characters to model their appearance after their personality. We have Fei, whose animal motif is a rabbit- thus making his hair be styled in the position that it is, and throughout the series, I noticed that Fei was somewhat evasive about himself even though he sure was friendly- thus giving him his bright and friendly green theme to him, while making sure hie eyes were monochrome(which is a sign of a secretive character usually).
Onto his physical appearance-
Fei’s face in general seems somewhat secretive- almost as if he was hiding another personality underneath. I get this feeling because he almost looks too friendly- if you get my drift. I feel like he would have the typical friendly look to him- reminding me somewhat of Tenma, but yet, you see this deep melancholy internal personality somewhat shine through his rather plain eyes. His brightly colored and styled hair do give off a different vibe, but it all ties in with his seemingly friendly disposition. Fei wasn’t too enthusiastic about his past, so obviously his design has to be somewhat angsty- however that angst is covered up by the friendliness that Tenma possesses.
In terms of facial features however, it could be noted that Fei’s eyebrows do give off a certain type of feeling. Like his eyebrows are shaped and positioned in a way that shows a rather determined character- which shows that he isn’t all smiles either, further proving my point on how his character design was meant to conceal his inner thoughts. Fei also seems like a person who has a pretty childish face and appearance overall, so I could say that his nose would be those small, upturned ones, and his mouth would be equally as small as well- almost to ensure that innocent look. In terms of ethnicity, it would be hard to say what he really was, but Fei’s appearance doesn’t really scream “Japanese” to me, instead hinting another form of European or something similar. So if Fei was actually a realistically designed character, then I’d headcanon him to have blonde-ish hair(due to the light color of his hair) and light brown, or grey/blue eyes.
Now we have height. Fei seems like the type that would foil Tenma in terms of build and height, so I’d say that Fei’s height would be slightly different. Now I headcanoned Tenma to be around the 5′0 range because he’s a smol child, but during the course of InaGo, Tenma might have grew- because he’s a young growing boy. So I think that Tenma might be around 5′1-5′2 by the end of GO(He’d grow more in Galaxy), and since Chrono Stone was a whirlwind of a season(ha my sad puns), Tenma might have kept that height until Galaxy. So for Fei, I feel like he started out in the 5′4 range, because he seems similar to Tenma, yet he sort of gives me this vibe of being rather lanky despite his childish look(that’s why 5′4 and not like 5′6-5′7 or something).
For build, I guessed that he’d be built in a pretty streamlined manner, because he jumps a lot, and extremely high- so he’d be quite thin. Somewhat similar to Tenma, but without the young pudge that Tenma has, if you understand my vision here. Additionally, Fei really wasn’t with his parents during the later years of his life, so that could also be a sign that he wouldn’t be looking as if he was fed up to the brim. Fei is extremely agile and fast, so that would probably minimize the amount of body fat he contained- plus he wouldn’t really be that muscular in that sense either.
