She still felt it, even if she is strong enough to not react. My heart goes out to her for having to endure it.

1000 REBLOGS!!!!
Iâll never forget when my 8th grade English teacher wouldnât let a girl go to the bathroom and he saw the tampon in her hand and goes âoh so you were trying eat candy with out sharing with the rest of us, go ahead open it and share with everyoneâ and she looked so embarrassed so she responds with âI canât open it now and share the candy because itâs a tampon for my bleeding vaginaâ and my teacher just stared at her in horror as she left the room.
Realigning for the tampon story
Back when I was in high school, one time some boys in my class did a presentation on âthe innate differences between boys and girlsâ, and near the end the girls and the boys in the class each had to nominate someone for a secret thing. The girls picked me.
Then they made me arm wrestle the dude who got picked by the boys.
And guess what? I won, because at the time I was rock climbing and doing martial arts and playing tennis almost every day of the week, and that thoroughly wrecked the presentationâs conclusion, which was supposed to be âboys are stronger than girls and thatâs just a factâ and these dudes didnât know how to recover from me smashing that expectation.
Itâs still one of my proudest moments.
Sitting the Biology HSC and I will never forget having to go to the front of the room where our bags were and pull out a pad in front of everyone in the hall because the examiner wouldnât let me do it discreetly cause he thought I was gonna cheat.
more things influence our mood than we think. the littlest things like not making our bed, being around certain people, seeing things that normalize bad coping mechanisms on social media, listening to a song that triggers negative emotions, checking someone who shouldnât be in your life anymore, obsessing over thoughts that make you feel unworthy or anxiousâŠitâs time to stay closer to things that make us feel warm and happy and removing (or distancing ourselves) from things that make us feel sad at night

âWhat man needs is not philosophy or religion in the academic or formalistic sense of the term, but ability to think rightly. The malady of the age is not absence of philosophy or even irreligion but wrong thinking and a vanity which passes for knowledge. Though it is difficult to define right thinking, it cannot be denied that it is the goal of the aspirations of everyone.â

The Art of Matthew MazzottaÂ
Matthew Mazzotta works at the intersection of art, activism, and urbanism, focusing on the power of the built environment to shape our relationships and experiences. His community-specific public projects integrate new forms of civic participation and social engagement into the built environment and reveal how the spaces we travel through and spend our time living within have the potential to become distinct sites for intimate, radical, and meaningful exchanges.
