Today is 5 years since I saw @taylorswift for the first time. That night was so special to me because not only was it my first big concert but I was so happy and so inspired. The speeches Taylor have that night helped me in a rough patch senior year of high school. I’m so grateful to have seen Taylor two (almost 3) more times since then and be on her story. Taylor means so much to me and every era there’s something I can relate to. When Taylor likes my post it was one of the best days of my life right as I was starting one of the hardest periods of my life. I’m so grateful that Taylor has been a part of my life and can’t wait to see her as soon as we can safely be at Loverfest. Taylor I love you ❤️

I listened to Never grow up as I prepared to move away for the first time, I cried reading “If You’re Anything Like Me” because it was me, I had a dance party a few days ago to 22 to celebrate turning 22. Taylor’s speech was absolutely incredible tonight but the line that really stood out to me was

“ We shouldn’t let obstacles like criticism slow down the creative forces that drive us”

I’m an industrial design major which is a highly male dominated field. In my first year and half of school I have already seen the sexism and double standard in the industry before even entering the real world myself.
