"in case i make it," but one word a day

inspired by @normal-album-daily ! feast your eyes upon four words of will wood's july 29, 2022 album "in case i make it," per day. posted 9 am, 3 pm, 9 pm, and 3 am every single day.

haha i am now a gimmick blog as well. okay so ! basics are in order ! this is a blog like @normal-album-daily who got the idea from @black-parade-daily . this is supposed to be a word daily but the thing is, it would have taken me fifteen years if i had followed up on that? so you guys all get four words per day, which will only take a little more than three years ! posts will be out in 9 am, 3 pm, 9 pm, and 3 am in the EST timezone. i think that's all that is to be known?

guys i have got a thing to say 😔 it's time to reveal my irl identity. i am actually millicent k wood, my father is will wood. i made this blog to better connect with my dad because he has always been so distant with me. he is always so busy having his half decade hangover and i can only find him in his coffin. his music is the only thing i got to connect and understand him.

(E walks out to the living room with Stella in hand) Father, can we talk?

(He's planted on an old chair, eyes facing the news app on his i-pad which he's scrolling through. Hearing E's serious tone, he looks up)

Why, what's the matter? (He sees Stella's teary face) Stella? Are you alright?

She uh, misses her dad? I think you had this talk with me when I was younger or something like that. I don't know what to do and I knew you could help. can you help?

[gerard-dv]

(He stands up and walks over to them both to crouch down at Stella's level)

Stella, dearest, are you alright? What's the matter? (He gestures for E to leave the room, which they do.)

[stella-dv]

(Stella looks up at him tearfully. Their hands were shaking, and she looked like she would fall over at any moment.)

I-I’m sorry…. I-

(They can’t continue, and they start to blink rapidly to hold back their tears)

[gerard-dv]

(He reassuringly puts his hands on her shoulders)

Stella? (Feeling how weak she is, he hugs her to be a support) Do you need to lay down? What's wrong?

[stella-dv]

(She sniffles, and returns the hug with the fierce tightness)

Me and.. and E were s-spending time together, aand my dad got brought up-

(They mumble into Gerard’s ear through their tiny sobs)

[gerard-dv]

Would you like to talk about that? (He keeps his arms around her)

[stella-dv]

I mmiss him… he always arg- argued with mom and yyelled and was loud but, I…. I dunno….

(They cry into Gerard’s shoulder)

Mom nnever was the same…

[gerard-dv]

(He holds her silently for a moment, formulating a response)

What.. (He pauses) What about him do you miss?

[stella-dv]

(Stella thinks for a moment, struggling to come up with a response)

I… I don’t know…. Hhe was just *hic* always there and- mmom isn’t… ttaking care of me- anymore, she’s just… she’s just pushing me away…

(Stella’s tears start to slow down slightly, though they still rest their head on Gerard’s shoulders)

[gerard-dv]

(He takes a moment to pause, not sure of how to tell her that he doesn't know how to get her back to her parents or if her parents are even real.)

I'll take care of you for now, alright? Nobody here will push you away for as long as you're with us. (He tightens his hold around Stella again, making it known that he cares for her.)

[stella-dv]

(Stella’s tears slow down and eventually stop flowing altogether. They don’t make a sound as they continue to hug Gerard, basking in his comfort)

[gerard-dv]

(They stay still together for a long time. Eventually, when it feels right, Gerard opens his mouth)

Something warm to eat would do you good. Would you like some spaghetti? It's almost dinnertime.

[stella-dv]

(Stella pulled back slightly, looking at Gerard again.)

I.. yeah…

(She mumbles, barely above a whisper.)

That would be nice..

(He slowly lets go of Stella and stands up, walking over to the kitchen)

Millie! E! Come help me with dinner! (He shouts down the corridor)

(Millie pokes her head from her room with her eyebrows raised. A pair of headphones are around her neck as she tilts her head.)

Yeah? Wait, I am coming.

(She leaves her room, walking over to the kitchen.)

(Gerard approaches her as she comes in)

You remember how to make spaghetti sauce, right? Could you and E get on that for me? (He walks past her and shouts down the corridor again) E! (He pauses) Ugh, Euphemine! Come help with dinner! (He turns back around to Millie) Did E say they were leaving the house at all?

(Millie nodded her head as she turned to the kitchen, rolling up the sleeves of her dress to her forearms.)

Yeah, I remember how.

(At Gerard's final question, she turns her head with a furrow of her eyebrows.)

No? I am pretty sure they didn't say anything.
