We haven’t done an image prompt in a while and I think it’s high time to reintroduce it with an image from one of my favourite writers as well as a fantastic photographer, @aliveinsideink.

This piece is titled ‘The Abandoned’ and can be purchased on aliveinsideink‘s etsy shop along with many other of his wonderful pieces.

i’m lonely and i don’t know how to make it sound like poetry anymore. it’s just that i used to fall into friendships. it’s just that most days i want to fall into my bed or my grave and these bones are too fragile for show and tell and i’m like muesli with worse mental health and i don’t want anyone to look at me except that i want everyone to look at me and i don’t know what to say i don’t know what to say i don’t know what to say to anyone anyway and last year my best friend moved 413.4 miles away.

This is my Instagram! I logged on to tumblr and I had a couple of messages from lovely people, so I thought I should let you know that I’ve kinda abandoned Tumblr in favour of IG, sorry, but if you want to contact me or chat to me about poetry-related things this would be the best way, as it’s the only social media I’m publicly and regularly active on :)

I still write poetry but have stop posting it on Tumblr as it becomes public domain content and I cannot publish it. I will check Tumblr every now and then but I’m on Instagram every day and I get notifications on my phone so it’s the best way to reach me! Poetry love xx

One of my New Year's Resolutions is to start a book club with myself! I didn't read enough last year, and I realised that my only regret if I died tomorrow would be just that. First two books just arrived in the post. Book no.1: Reasons to Stay Alive by Matt Haig.
