Hello gearbreakers fandom!!!

I thought id come out to say something a bit formally on here. Sorry for the long post.

I have taken little breaks from the blog here and there but since the summer i have not been creating anything, not fics not even the incorrect quotes that this blog is originally for. The reason is that i have had some personal issues in my life, i had someone very dear to me pass away this summer and in my grief i have not found it in me to create like i usually do. Even when i dont post fic for a while, in those times i usually still write. This is not the case at the moment. Creating things unfortunately takes up a lot of energy, even in small ways like finding incorrect quotes, which i know sounds silly but thats just the way it is right now.

I still love the books and this fandom very much. I still consume content from other fandoms and just in general, and it is comforting as it is distracting at times when i want to be distracted from my personal life, which is a beautiful thing about fandom. I wish i could give as much as i am taking in this space, but at the moment i cannot.

That being said, this blog also sorta became like a gearbreakers hub on tumblr, where i try to give other creators from this fandom a bigger audience by reblogging art, interacting with you all through discussion, or just silly textposts about the books.

I dont mind still doing that. If there is something to reblog, i would love to. Maybe send me a message directly, possibly to my main blog in the header, because it is not often that i look in the tag to see new stuff anymore. Theres no shame in wanting more interaction in a fandom, especially one as small as this.

So yeah. Not necessarily goodbye from the fandom, though i dont know when ill be more involved again. Just an update for you all. I hope you are all taking care of yourselves. Mental health is so important. There is no shame in asking for help. Please check up on your loved ones regularly. You never know what someone is going through. Have compassion. Have understanding. Dont go to bed angry. You never know what can happen tomorrow. Life is short and so precious❤️❤️
