“Hey, as long as you don’t lose touch with your roots or whatever it is that makes you who you are Shank, home’s never far away. I’m sure once we figure this whole thing out with the school and all the crazy batshit that goes along with it, you’ll be back to tearing up the streets and burning tar off the roads while the cops chase you in no time at all,” Eddie mused with laughter once more. “Me? I’m from San Francisco, California. I mean, I’ve moved around a little bit and spent some time in New York for a while too, but the Bay Area’s always gonna be the place for me.” He pumped his chest with a bit of a macho effect, nothing too off the top. Eddie leaned back in his chair, watching in amusement as some of the officers brought in a criminal foaming at the mouth, doing all he could to escape the custody of the officers holding him down, but to no avail. “See that guy over there? He probably hasn’t had his rabies shot recently, but so long as you keep a low profile I don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about Shank. Not from me anyway.” He changed the subject. “So since you’ve been glitched into the Matrix, what are you gonna be doing at the school right down the road? I mean, it’s merely a suggestion but it’s the perfect way to blend in.”
“Fingers crossed.” Shank teased with a slight chuckle, she didn’t know what she’d do if she didn’t have street racing to depend on or if she’d never see her crew again. “I think I’ve heard of that place, it’s not bad from what I can see of it.” There were numerous games on The Internet that were set in San Francisco, but the main reason she even knew what it looked like was because of Google Earth and countless of Netflix shows set there as well. “New York isn’t too bad either, a little too much traffic for my liking, but it’s not bad.” She admitted, she has always liked how clear the streets of Los Angeles looked in her time, compared to how it looked in real life, it was far too crowded with celebrities and other inhabitants for her liking. Shank looked over at the man that the officers had brought in, putting up her hoodie, so that they don’t see her face since arriving here, she’s been on quite a few street racing adventures with a buddy of hers and it was only a matter of time before she was caught. She shrugged as she looked over at the man once more, she’s seen worse, her world was inhabited by man eating sharks in sewers and quite a few rabid dogs, so a rabid man was the least of her worried. “I honestly can’t tell if he’s actually from here or not, this place is crazier than YouTube and Vine, may he rest in piece, combined!” She replied before then looking back at Eddie. “Wasn’t planning on staying long, but my friend told me about an open position for mechanical engineering so that’s what I applied for and surprisingly got despite my record.”
