Some stupid teenage skateboarders yelled “Dumb queers!” at us at roller derby practice because they were pissed we get the hockey rink to practice three times a week and we all looked at them like they were crazy while one of our team mates launched herself at the chain link fence between us and them to cling monkey-like and screamed “IT’S 2018. QUEER HASN’T BEEN AN INSULT FOR YEARS, YA PISSBABY!”

And we fucking died laughing.* It took a good couple minutes for our coach to get us practicing again and we spent the rest of practice calling each other dumb queers everytime someone fucked up a drill XD

It’s always so disappointing how childish the skater boys act when we practice. Misogyny is thriving in that subculture.

* for reference, I think every single person on the team has a sticker on their helmet or water bottle with the word “queer” in it. We are the queerest girl gang on quad skates roaming these here parts.
