The soccer gender pay gap is ridiculous
Assume Iām dead and rotting when this isnāt reblogged from my dash.
Update from April 2017: Source: CNN Money, http://money.cnn.com/2017/04/05/news/us-womens-soccer-equal-pay/index.html āThe U.S. Womenās National Soccer Team is getting a raise, bigger bonuses and the same per diems as the men. The womenās team announced Wednesday that it had struck a new labor deal with U.S. Soccer, the sportās governing body. For months, the women have said that their pay and treatment is unequal to the menās team. The women will also get better hotel and travel accommodations and will be reimbursed for the years when their per diems were less than those of the men.ā Finally some good news for the USWNT!

PRAISE FOR COLIN MORGAN INĀ GLORIA
As for Colin Morgan, well, he really should be on stage a lot, lot more. His rakish, harried Dean is a covert asshole, hiding his awfulness under fake sincerity and āhard workā. (Morgan also makes a brief, hilarious, appearance as the quintessential IT guy, complete with shorts, trainers and an absolutely ludicrous ponytail.) - The Upcoming
He may be a bit of an smart asshole, but [Dean is] played with weariness but also warmth and wit by Colin Morgan⦠- TimeOut
Colin Morgan stands out in a cast that is uniformly absorbing. - The Standard
[The cast is] all exceptional, particularly Colin Morgan⦠- The Stage
Chief among [the cast] is the amply-coiffed Dean (Colin Morgan, nailing the American-on-the-make mode)⦠- The Arts Desk
Colin Morgan is excellent as faded charmer Dean⦠- Broadway World
Performance levels are excellent though - Colin Morganā¦stand[s] out⦠- There Ought To Be Clowns
ā¦As usual, [Colin Morgan] is very very good⦠- Vickster51Corner

Please read this if youāre a white or non-Asian fan of āidol cultureā in any way, be it IRL or a series like Love Live. I know itās long but if you really claim to not have any resources detailing its connections to sex trafficking of minors and child pornography then well here it is for your viewing now
Time decides who you meet in life, your heart decides who you want in your life, and your behavior decides who stays in your life.

Whoa, I didnāt realize that it was so deliberate, I honestly thought it was unconscious
Scary, scary.
Gonna add on to this: From the other side of the bar, I see this crap all the time. Seriously. I work at a high-density bar, and let me tell you, I have anywhere from 10-20 guys every night come up and tell me to, āserve her a stronger drink, Iām trying to get lucky tonight, know what I mean?ā usually accompanied with a wink and a gesture at a girl who, in my experience, is going to go from mildly buzzed to definitively hammered if I keep serving her. Now, I like to think Iām a responsible bartender, so I usually tell guys like that to piss off, and, if I can, try to tell the girlās more sober friends that they need to keep an eye on her. But everyone- just so you know, most of the time, when someone you donāt know is buying you a drink, theyāre NOT doing it out of a sense of cordiality, theyāre buying you a drink for the sole purpose of making you let your guard down. So:
Tips for getting drinks-
1. ALWAYS GO TO THE BAR TO GET YOUR OWN DRINK, DO NOT LET STRANGERS CARRY YOUR DRINKS. This is an opportune time for dropping something into your cocktail, and youāre none the wiser.
2.IF YOU ORDER SOMETHING NON-ALCOHOLIC, I promise you, the bartender doesnāt give two shits that youāre not drinking cocktails with your friends, and often, totally understands that you donāt want to let your guard down around strangers. Usually, you can just tell the bartender that youād like something light, and thatās a big clue to us that youāre uncomfortable with whomever youāre standing next to. Again, we see this all the time.
3. If youāre in a position to where you feel uncomfortable not ordering alcohol:
Hereās a list of light liquors, and mixers that wonāt get you drunk, and will still look like an actual cocktail:
X-rated + sprite = easy to drink, sweet, and 12% alcoholic content. Not strong at all, usually runs $6-$8, depending on your state.
Amaretto + sour= sweet, not strong, 26%.
Peach Schnapps+ ginger ale= tastes like mellow butterscotch, 24%.
Melon liquor (Midori, in most bars) + soda water = not overly sweet, 21%
Coffee liquor (Kahlua) +soda = not super sweet, 20%.
Hope this helps someone out!
Backing this up from years of bar tending.
