I love you Mom (mommy, mummy, aai, amma, maa)!!!
We asked students what they feel about the Mothers Day, here is a must read article we received!
Education is one long part of most of our lives, where we play the role of a student. And that childhood time is spent racking our mind with the most varying theories that are expected to help in our lives later. Years pass on, teachers shuffle, classmates change; we move on from school to college and meet a whole new bunch of people. We keep moving on, but there she remains, a constant in our life, always behind us with her hand on our head, always loving, always caring, attached to us by a beautiful relationship named motherhood.
Throughout our student life, we endure through all the exams, spend those evenings playing, learning and growing our way as the life progresses forward, but we never realize the sacrifices and the heart and soul of the woman who always keeps us fit and healthy, ready to face the challenges of life with peace and becoming persons of heart. We sometimes become rude with her, but she seldom gets offended, always forgiving us for our misdoings and teaching us the rights in life.
When things seem to be tough, and we have no one to talk to, she is always there; ready to listen, with a high level of understanding about whatever we feel. She teaches us multitasking - doing so many chores in a day while still ensuring that our needs are not left unattended, it makes one think that she creates time. She is a magic, her lovely embrace having the power to heal the most difficulties and anxieties of our lives.
She always keep feeding us with best food not even the best of restaurants can ever compete with, because her food is always a delicacy served with pure heart. We move on to college leaving her behind, but her care and concern for us follows, her talking to us without fail every day she could connect with us just to make sure that we are alright. She still waits to the day we go back home, to the day she can spend time with us, with that extra nurture for the time she is not with us.
She remains the purest soul on Earth. We have had so many teachers teach us various subjects, but she has been the biggest teacher of our lives, teaching us about how to live life, and showing us what true loving and caring is all about.
Mother, thank you for being such a great person in my life, my greatest teacher, mentor, caretaker, guide, lover…. Thanks for always being there for me….
